I'd like to interject some thoughts into this thread.
Since the beginning of sin in the garden, all men are fallen men.
Over time in the study of the history provided by the word we see man's disobedience and God's anger and wrath, through 6000 years. What makes us think we are so special to escape?
Rulers of terror have come and gone and many have been slain under the quise of religions. God himself has orchestrated many invasions of the Hebrews for their rebellion and backsliding. Prophecy foretold and continues to foretell of tribulation, trials of fire and death to Jesus' followers. Persecution and suffering for Christ are honorable.
Did the Apostles ,the first churches, Hitler's Jews escape?
From the timeline of the OT we see the Hebrews faithfulness and their falls. We also see God's anger and wrath toward his wife.
Four thousand years and a new covenant is established with the birth of the Messiah, the saviour. Born of flesh and of the Spirit springs hope for ALL fallen mankind!
Again we see through history the terror and persecutions of Christ's followers up until today, this very minute.
Someone is being persecuted to death for their faith in Jesus right NOW!
I'm not sure at this point if I even believe any such word as rapture or it's meaning.
We are to be preparing our souls today for our appearance before our Lord,be it by natural death, murder,or whatever you choose to believe!
