The lamp was given to you.
That doesn't meant you should neglect to fill it with oil.

Where is in this verses it is said that we should worship the Holy Spirit?God The Holy Spirit is as much God as God The Father and God The Son.
Calling on The Spirit of God is not dishonouring or excluding The Father God.
John 4 (CSB)
23 But an hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in Spirit and in truth.
Yes, the Father wants such people to worship him.
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in Spirit and in truth.”
In your eyes maby. But what is God saying? Thats important.you have totally lost it
tragic. really.
beyond comprehension that you come back with such a response
Thank you for clarifying.@Aidan1 was addressing a video that had false teaching. It was a video I found shocking as the person in the video was teaching that God needs people to give him permission to work which such teaching is false.

Why then the word of God is teaching us to praise God, but not the Holy Spirit?
It is Gods will, which he has expressed through the Holy Spirit.
Good worship is worship that empowers a person to live for the Lord without needing a "fix." Counterfeit worship is worship that gives people an emotional fix. In other words, it produces an altered state of consciousness and conjures emotional states in a person that they find themself needing more and more. They just don't seem to feel "right" throughout the week and need their fix. They don't need to worship the Lord necessarily, they just need that emotional high.
You are right, there is no verses in the bible which forbit worship the Holy Spirit.I don’t see any verses in the Bible that forbid worship to the Holy Spirit.
There is a song All of creation by MercyMe. In the lyrics there is a part that says “ Praise the Father , praise the Son and the Spirit in one.” I don’t see any wrong in those lyrics .
Here is the song :
You want scripture? Here's some:
"If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you."—John 15:18-19
You are right, there is no verses in the bible which forbit worship the Holy Spirit.
But there is also no vers in which this was practised. The Adress of worship is always the father.
I agree with you. Well, i ask me when and why this came up. If the bible is not teaching it or encouraged to do this. This seems to be the case in scripture. I cannot find examples of prayers addressed to the Son either, except Stephen told Jesus to receive his spirit-- when Stephen was apparently talking to Jesus while having a vision of Him.
But I wouldn't say that someone who prayed to the Holy Spirit or to Jesus necessarily had a false spirit and not the Holy Spirit.
But there are also praises of the Lamb in the Book of Revelation.
Does praise equate to worship? I like that song, and had not heard it for a while, so thanks for that!I don’t see any verses in the Bible that forbid worship to the Holy Spirit.

The line, “Praise the Father, praise the Son and the Spirit in one.”, reminds me of this song
I suspect the roots of it came from when the Trinity were formally codified as doctrine, certain phrases and hymns came to emphasize the Trinity as opposed to specific teaching in scripture. For example, Jesus spoke of praying in His name, but the traditional prayer ends with in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. We hear this from Roman Catholics and some Protestants at the end of prayers.I agree with you. Well, i ask me when and why this came up. If the bible is not teaching it or encouraged to do this.

What do you think of the story of Paul and Eutychus? Paul preached on and on and I guess this guy was lazy and wasn't all that concerned and thought Paul was taking too long. Or did Paul cause him to go into a hypnotic-like state and get the warm and fuzzies right before he fell to his death?Look, here's the thing. The point is this.
Prolonged praise and worship that puts people into a sort of hypnotic-like state is a counterfeit. People think they're calling on God; they believe the Holy Spirit responds because they start feeling warm and fuzzy; they believe it's real because that's what they've been told or that's what they want to believe. But they're not really praising God nor are they receiving from the Holy Spirit. It's all an exercise in self-indulgence. They're calling things out of themselves that they misinterpret as God or the Holy Spirit.
You can't say some forms of this sort of thing good and others bad. The whole thing's a sham from start to finish.
It's ok to worship the Father, Son, and the Holy Ghost. There is nothing wrong with it.Worship is also directed to the Son. Every knee will bow and confess Jesus Christ is Lord according to Philippians 2:10-11. I don’t see explicit worship of the Holy Spirit in the Bible, but in John 4:24 Jesus says God is spirit.
