It is not Satan to whom the verse refers. If Satan punishes the bad people why is he bad?Did u know that god brags about him?In the book of job he is the leviathan
Satan is the most wicked being ever, and you ask why Satan is bad?Thank you for saying so.
Satan was there in the Garden urging Adam to sin. He started this mess we live in. He tried to get Jesus to sin. I vote for Satan as the most wicked being ever.Satan is the most wicked being ever, and you ask why Satan is bad?No the harlot is the harlot of rev is sin it's a virus it's simple and knows nothing.Think he who sins is a slave 2 sin.im not here for whole but the sick.
Which verse are you referring to?It is not Satan to whom the verse refers.
lol hippo our some other animal like an alligator.Dinosaur.Kind off the tangent for god. These anamial r not more powerful then mans weapons of iron.but this creature laughs at iron as if it where staw.
Even though nearly every English Bible says the Devil will be "tormented day and night forever and ever"?
See, you got it right, forever and ever!
Vague at best.
The rich man was alive in the fire. He was not destroyed. That's why Jesus warned us of EVERLASTING fire! BILLIONS of humans will certainly wish they would be destroyed. But they won't. They will be in the worst prison that ever existed with the worst beings who ever lived, the Devil and his angels, with no parole!
Matthew 25:41 (NKJV)
41 Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:
Revelation 20:10 (NKJV)
10 The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Do i need to keep refreshing the page to get the new posts or is there a better way, a setting or something ?
Thanks, yes i see what you mean about pages, i'm only getting notified when i'm quoted and i keep forgetting to refresh, but no worries i'm sure i'll get used to doing itNot sure what issues you are having. Usually go by the "pages" indicator at the top or bottom of a page. (My apologies, sounds confusing even to me).
Death does not mean "cease to exist".Keep reading. In Revelation 20:14-15, anyone not found in the book of life is given the second death.
14And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. 15And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
The devil, beast, false prophet, the rich man, and everyone else will be put to death if they are not found in the book of life. I think where you're getting hung up is you're reading things like "eternal fire" and believing that means eternal torment.
You would need to prove that the soul is indestructible, which it isn't. God can destroy both soul and body on hell.
There is a big case to make for cessation of life in hell. Annihilation cures many biblical contradictions that those who espouse eternal torment hold, such as receiving eternal life in hell
Jesus said only the righteous receive eternal life, pro-eternal torment people say everyone in hell lives forever. Clearly Jesus is correct so this isn't debatable.
Did you know that "eternal" and "forever" are sometimes used in non-literal ways in the Bible? There are some excellent posts about that somewhere in this thread.
Death does not mean "cease to exist".
OT does not overrule NT. Unless you're Jewish. "Everlasting", "eternal" and "forever and ever". The rich man DIED!The second death and destruction in the lake of fire does mean to cease to exist.
Mat 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Psalms 37:20 But the wicked shall perish, and the enemies of the LORD shall be as the fat of lambs: they shall consume; into smoke shall they consume away.
OT does not overrule NT.
The rich man died and was alive in the fire. You no case! Death does not mean "cease to exist".Actually both verses from NT and OT are in harmony so your post makes no sense.
