God blessed and sanctified the seventh day which is Saturday. Jesus kept Saturday Holy and said He is Lord of the Sabbath.

Please show me who or where God has unsanctified or taken the blessing away from that day.

No other day can claim this sanctified blessing. If you think it doesn't matter look up sanctified and why did God say Remember it?

Mar 2:27 And he said unto them, The sabbath was made for man, and not man for the sabbath: 28 Therefore the Son of man is Lord also of the sabbath.

The Sabbath was made for mankind. At creation before any race (Jews), before sin.

Is it still for us today?
It's not a law, if that's what you mean. But I agree it is good to have a day of rest, and the sabbath is blessed by God for this purpose.

You have quoted Col 2
Is this referring to the 10 Commandments written in stone or the law of ordinances writen in the book by Moses.

I agree with what you have writen, but the laws nailed to the cross were not the 10 commandments.
I agree for the most part, however this calls for more discussion on the matter of the law of Moses verse the law of Christ written on our heart and mind.

This a Sabbath thread and I don’t want to derail it.

The laws “contained in ordinances” were nailed to the cross.

IOW how we go about observing the Sabbath ordinance is what was abolished.

Here are some Sabbath ordinances under the law of Moses.

Then he said to them, “This is what the Lord has said: ‘Tomorrow is a Sabbath rest, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake what you will bake today, and boil what you will boil; and lay up for yourselves all that remains, to be kept until morning.’ ” So they laid it up till morning, as Moses commanded; and it did not stink, nor were there any worms in it. Then Moses said, “Eat that today, for today is a Sabbath to the Lord; today you will not find it in the field. Six days you shall gather it, but on the seventh day, the Sabbath, there will be none.”
Now it happened that some of the people went out on the seventh day to gather, but they found none. And the Lord said to Moses, “How long do you refuse to keep My commandments and My laws? See! For the Lord has given you the Sabbath; therefore He gives you on the sixth day bread for two days. Let every man remain in his place; let no man go out of his place on the seventh day.” So the people rested on the seventh day. Exodus 16:23-30

And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying, “Speak also to the children of Israel, saying: Surely My Sabbaths you shall keep, for it is a sign between Me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I am the Lord who sanctifies you. You shall keep the Sabbath, therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work on it, that person shall be cut off from among his people. Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh is the Sabbath of rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day, he shall surely be put to death.
Exodus 31:12-15

Then Moses gathered all the congregation of the children of Israel together, and said to them, “These are the words which the Lord has commanded you to do: Work shall be done for six days, but the seventh day shall be a holy day for you, a Sabbath of rest to the Lord. Whoever does any work on it shall be put to death. You shall kindle no fire throughout your dwellings on the Sabbath day.”Exodus 35:1-3

Now while the children of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering sticks on the Sabbath day. And those who found him gathering sticks brought him to Moses and Aaron, and to all the congregation. They put him under guard, because it had not been explained what should be done to him.
Then the Lord said to Moses, “The man must surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp.” So, as the Lord commanded Moses, all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him with stones, and he died. Numbers 15:32-36

And on the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, with its drink offering— this is the burnt offering for every Sabbath, besides the regular burnt offering with its drink offering. Numbers 28:9-10

Colossians 2:16

16 Therefore, let no one judge you in matters of food and drink or with respect to a festival, a New Moon, or Sabbath days.

These again were people that were KEEPING THE LAW, and Paul was saying don't let others judge you for doing so.
Just the opposite.

The context plainly shows us that Paul had just stated that the law was abolished.

And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having wiped out the handwriting of requirements that was against us, which was contrary to us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the cross. Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.
So let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come, but the substance is of Christ.
Colossians 2:13-16

Paul is plainly telling these gentile believers not to be influenced by Judaizers, who are trying to bring them under bondage to the law of Moses.

I can see now it wouldn't matter if you had proof that the people spoken to in this letter were keeping those laws and being wrongly being judged for it.... it is clear that your need to be right outweighs being righteous. Ego over truth.

Colossians 2:14

14 having erased the charges that were brought against us, along with their obligations that were hostile to us. He took those charges away when he nailed them to the cross.

The "charges" (penalties) of the law were nailed to the cross... Not the entire law.

I do.... The good news is that "fulfilled the law" means that he paid the penalty for our disobedience. This way we have another chance at getting it right and actually keep the law as it was always intended... Both physically and spiritually.

Christ came to "redeem you from the Curse of the Law".

If you are trying to keep what is a Curse, then you do not understand the New Covenant or the Cross of Christ.

When a person thinks Jesus only Paid the penalty and that was it. And then thinks we can actually keep the law as required.

There is prety much a barrier that must be broken before we can help them understand

All theological deception is a mental "stronghold".
Its a root, a spiritual root, that has become embedded in the psyche.

These have to be torn down.. Not placated or massaged.
Sometimes on a Fourm people watch what i do and they think...>"He is so HARSH".
But im not....That is LIGHT, and Light is HOT and it attacks darkness.
Truth is unrelenting and does not tolerate deception.
Jesus did not argue with demons...>He cast them OUT !

"Strong". "HOLD"...........this means the idea has become a mental CHAIN and that is why its so very hard to get OUT of deception.
See, its much easier to not be deceived then it is to leave deception, as deception is a "STRONG" HOLD" on your thinking.
Mental Chains have to be broken.
And that breaking is a harsh situation, as its many levels that have to be. broken thru.

For example, lets say you belong to the "cult of Mary.
So, all your life you are told that water saved you.
That becomes your faith. So, that stronghold, is FAITH in you, and to leave FAITH, is difficult.

What breaks a stronghold? = Assault by LIGHT.

See, mind blindness is caused by the Devil, and that is the strong hold.
The Devil keeps LIGHT out of you, and deception IN you.
So, Light (Truth) has to get IN there, and to get in there is a battle that has to break down the mental barrier that is the "Strong" "Hold", on the mind.

If you are trying to keep what is a Curse, then you do not understand the New Covenant or the Cross of Christ.
You can't understand the renewed covenant without understanding the first one. The law itself is not a curse. The "curse of the law" is the penalties from breaking the law (sinning). The blessing of the law is the rewards we receive from following it. (Deu 11:26-28)

Redeeming us from "the curse of the law" means redeeming us from the penalties of sin (breaking the law)... E.g. Animal sacrifices. This does not mean the entire law is a curse and the messiah came to save us from it.

Why is the Law a curse?
Its because, by the Law is the KNOWLEDGE of SIN.
The Law is a JUDGE....>It Judges you to be a SINNER.

See that "curse"?

Wake up, MalikB
Stop teaching deceit.

The Law is what DEFINES YOU as a "SINNER">
If there is no law, there is no transgression.

Listen.

If you Steal, its the LAW that says you are a THIEF.
If you Kill, its the LAW that says you murdered.
If you lie, its the LAW that defines you as a LIAR.

Do you SEE IT?
Thats the "CURSE OF THE LAW".

Paul told YOU......>"had i not known the law, i would have not known SIN"

The "Power of sin.....is the Law".

""""Christ came to redeem you from the CURSE OF THE LAW""

lol

Moses said that anyone who does not keep every word of the law is cursed.

That's the requirement my Friend.

James said if we keep all of the law and fail in one point. we are guilty.

Then we have pauls confirmation of both of these truths concerning the law

You can;t keep the law my friend. If you think you do you are deceived. No one is good But God. those are Jesus words.. Not mine.

Take heed

well, since their are only 2 ways to enter Heaven , one being perfect and sinless, or accept Jesus as Lord and Savior, and trust in Him and His Rightousness to get in.

since you have chosen to keep the Sabbath and the Law, then you have to be perfect at it.

2 ways. that is it.

Romans 2:6-11

6 For he will repay everyone according to what that person has done: 7 eternal life to those who strive for glory, honor, and immortality by patiently doing good; 8 but wrath and fury for those who in their selfish pride refuse to believe the truth and practice wickedness instead. 9 There will be suffering and anguish for every human being who practices doing evil, for Jews first and for Greeks as well. 10 But there will be glory, honor, and peace for everyone who practices doing good, initially for Jews but also for Greeks as well, 11 because God does not show partiality.

13 For it is not merely those who hear the Law who are righteous in God’s sight. No, it is those who follow the Law, who will be justified.

"If there is no law, there is no transgression."

Sure... If there was law we couldn't by definition break the law, however the same actions would still take place (Killing, stealing, lying, etc.) The law does not make us do those things. Breaking the law brings curses. Keeping the law brings blessings.... its that simple.

Your misunderstanding of Paul's writings has lead you astray. We were warned about this in 2 Peter 3:16-17:

16 He speaks about this subject in all his letters. Some things in them are hard to understand, which ignorant and unstable people distort, leading to their own destruction, as they do the rest of the Scriptures.
17 And so, dear friends, since you already know these things, continuously be on your guard not to be carried away by the deception of lawless people. Otherwise, you may fall from your secure position.
