this is a false narrative of many professing Christians.

They pervert the love of God. God has to accept the sin of the sinner and call it love is unbiblical and damaging to the person eternally.

Just as a doctor would not be taking in a cancer patient and tell the person we need to do some serious things to change your condition to cure cancer. Oh NO! How unloving of the Doctor to say such a thing. He had no intention of helping, what a big awful manipulator this doctor is.

The Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is supposed to be a Hospital for sick souls.

Jesus came to set the captive FREE Not make them comfortable in the sin.

Jesus said to the prostitute Go and sin no more, less something worst happens to you. that is judgement ? NO. Jesus is telling you the very sin you were in will destroy you IF you keep doing it!
It is the greatest love there is Truth.

No one is condemning those who are homosexual the sin brings its own torment.

The idea that a church is to accept a person unconditionally means:

Don't preach sin will send you to hell, and Jesus one has to surrender to HIm is the only way out.

Jesus never left a prostitute as one He changed them,
The sick He healed them
The lost HE found them
the Sinner HE saved them!

And finally, in your own comment, you have accepted Homosexualaity as a race of people?

which it is not, it is a sexual sin that has an eternal end that all sin does, it brings death.
Homosexuality is not more a race of people than being a prostitute.

it is twisted in thinking such. Those who agree with that mind-set:

1. those who have gay family members and have accepted the sin as normal
2. they are gay themselves of struggle with it looking to be set free from the guilt of it.

3. Pastors who are openly gay and perverting the word of God and leading people astray.

We do not ask anyone who comes into the church are you gay? , we preach sin will take you to hell and Jesus is the only way out of it.

If the person tells us they are struggling with sexual sin we pray with them and provided godly counsel. Many people who are strait have sexual additions in fact I have ministered to more of those than professing gays.

Mainly because they have pastors who have said it is ok for you to be gay and a Christian.

That is a damnable lie, and that pastor will answer to God for causing those to fall.

No matter how hard you try, the pride f man is deep, t must be broken before they can see, we can try to help, but only God can break it
I have actually quit this thread but in response to yr post:

the Bible tells us to humble ourselves before God. So, my conclusion is to take that attitude, bow my head and count on God's mercy

He knows I am in desperate need of Him and strangely, I like it that way. but I will agree, some do get broken

guess that is a whole nuther topic ;)

I will say though, I found it's a waste of time to make an effort with some individuals. who shall remain anonymous

I don't believe I will fail. But I do believe people in fact fail, fall away, apostacize, go dark again. They are all around us. Many come out publicly as some sort of badge of honor or defiance. As for me: as I stated earlier: I am saved, I am being sanctified, and I will one day be glorified.
oh dear. since I am here for the moment, but really am not getting back into it with you, allow me to point out the weakness in your response above.

You state 'I don't believe I will fail', but do you suppose any one of those you have named previously or those you think you can point out around you, do you suppose any one of those ever said "well gee I will probably fail. I might even fall away. In fact, I'm going to hell"

make the connection.....or not. most of us probably can

Annnnnnnd....I'm outta here :giggle:

we have 5 mins to correct or delete a post. after that, it is in the all wise and powerful hands of a moderator

personally, I think it beneficial to see how liberalism is trying to take over the gospel (and succeeding in many cases) and in doing so, trying their very best to make God out as an arbitrary grand old gentleman and His agents here on earth, who point to scripture, as the final word, as unloving, unkind and too judgmental.

we just don't understand about sin and how much God just loves us in spite of it

they have yet to meet God

😆 You were outta here a while back. Guess you couldn't help yourself. "Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall." Proverbs 16:18. 😎

I do examine myself, and when I do, this is what I find: I am saved, I am being sanctified, and one day I will be eternally glorified with my Lord Jesus and every other saint. God willing, you might be, too.

I have repented and confessed, I do repent and confess, and will continue to repent and confess the rest of my entire lifetime until I am at home and present with the Lord. How about you?

Until God judges me after this physical death I am ....born again..... and living a righteous life with full faith of God's promise to save me from eternal damnation when He judges me.
We cannot preempt God's judgement by declaring that we are ....saved....while on this earth.

Yet the Word of God says we can know:

1 John 5:13: I have written these things to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, so that you may know that you have eternal life."

Acts 16:31: "They said, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

Romans 10:9-10: "that if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation."

Romans 8:1: "Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus."

John 3:16: "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life."

Ephesians 1:13-14: "In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation—having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is given as a pledge of our inheritance, with a view to the redemption of God’s own possession, to the praise of His glory"

This is a good subject... I have a unique perspective due to the fact that one of my children, although grown, is a lesbian. I find myself in an awkward position being a Christian. I know what the Old Testament says about homosexuality, it is a Capital Offense, meaning we are to stone them to death. I would caution you on how you claim we should deal with people. You may just find you have committed a Capital Offense as well.

Some people believe I should take my daughter out and kill her, really? It amazes me a Christian would say these things. Jesus gave us the example with the woman at the well. For those who say, homosexuals should be killed because GOD commands it, I would ask, Did Jesus go against GODs commands by not throwing the first stone? He was Sinless, so he could cast the first stone, but did not. He told the woman, I will not Condemn you Go and Sin NO more...

Then in Matthew 5 Jesus says,

27 “You have heard that it was said, ‘You shall not commit adultery.’ 28 But I tell you that anyone who looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29 If your right eye causes you to stumble, gouge it out and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30 And if your right hand causes you to stumble, cut it off and throw it away. It is better for you to lose one part of your body than for your whole body to go into hell. 31 “It has been said, ‘Anyone who divorces his wife must give her a certificate of divorce.’ 32 But I tell you that anyone who divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, makes her the victim of adultery, and anyone who marries a divorced woman commits adultery.

How many divorced people in the church that have remarried should we put to death then?

I think we should show love and not spit venom at these people, that is my humble opinion. I don't agree with them and will never normalize the behavior, but I am not advocating death to them. That seems contrary to the teachings of Jesus. Could you kill your offspring?

Yes, love them dearly with the gospel truth. Truth is like a two-edged sword and it will hurt them and you, but Love demands the truth and love does not require your affirmation or approval of their homosexual behavior.

first off, anyone who would say to kill your daughter is not a Christian they are demonic. I would hope no one here has even suggested that they will be banned and labeled a troll. The reason why Jesus did not throw stones and legally could do so was for a few reasons

1. I did not come into the world to condemn the world, but through me, they might be saved John 3:16-19
2. the woman was found in the very act of adultery, where was the man? they both were to be stoned according to law.

The issue with homosexuality today is it is being normalized by society and taught with lies.

  • There is not one shred of evidence one is born this way
  • there is nothing in the DNA that shows a gay gene
  • nothing in the brain to show anything
  • The Idea of a race of people passed on through false natives and civil rights for a sexual preference and say it is something as being a black man is lie from the pit of hell.
Speak that is attacked because it is true and many try to remove the context of sin with it because we have family who is gay.
We [point out other sins like divorce and remarrying and adultery to justify this sin is a sin also. If one never mentioned drunkness, fornication, lying, and murder but said Homosexuality is a sin and those who Practice such thing will go to hell is still true Because the Word of God says so even if one never mentioned any other sin. That statement would still be true. And God who said it the most loving person there is repeating what God said is not unloving it is speaking the truth and that is one of the greatest ways to show love is to tell the person the truth, instead of pacifying them to death.

Being a homosexual is not the sin.

The abomination God condemns is the sexual act of Homosexuality. And because it is contrary to God's plan.

being a homosexual is accepting sin as who one is not who God create them to be. One can be adultery at heart and never commit the act of having sex and go to hell for it. if homosexuality is celibate and yet still a homosexual God does not accept them because of their self-rightness or not having a sexual relationship outside of God's plan for man and women. Freedom is just that. Being a homosexual is a sin.

I did not mean to imply anyone here has done this, I apologize if that was the understanding. I belong to many forums and it is very interesting how people respond to "Hot Button" topics such as this. I guess it falls into the same category as PRE, MID, and POST Tribulation or Should We Follow The Commands, as Jesus said.
