Galatians 3:20 says there is no mediator necessary
What?

Any text taken out of context to create a pretext. That's what you've done.

The law required a priest as mediator. Now we have a direct line to Jesus who is God.

Your heresy is really beginning to show now

Read your Bible instead of listening to your pastor

Also read Gregory Palamas and Meister Eckhart

These are the greatest figures of Christian tradition

Do not take my word for it either

But for sure don't take a pastors word for it, it is his business racket
Sorry. Not interested in Eastern Orthodoxy, which is Roman Catholicism with long beards.

Well, here's the issue brother, I don't see the church reaching out to the gay community in love or otherwise. I would think if you looked into it homosexuals are, for the most part, an unreached part of society when it comes to the church. You know me by now, that I'm never about hiding the truth. But the church has largly accepted divorce, which the Bible says God hates. I know Christians that have been divorced 2,3 or more times, I know pastors that have been married and divorced more than once. So that's in house, and we pretty much turn a blind eye to it. I'm not saying there is never a legitimate reason to be divorced, but the church has pretty much let down on this issue that use to be considered wrong. A divorce use to be a big deal, now we don't even think about it. I'm just asking the question, do we need to change our approach, not the message.

You are inferring that divorce is an ongoing thing. It is not. Yes it is against God's word, but, God forgives sin. IN the topic discussion world the sin is practiced...ongoing....there is a BIG difference. If one divorced every day....3, 4 times a week, etc. Then there would be some comparison. However, that is not the case.

Brother,

We are not under the yoke of the law, but we are not excused to live our lives in total disobedience to God's moral standards.

You'll agree, I'm sure, that Apostle Paul was taught by the risen and glotified Jesus.

Accordingly, Paul wrote: "Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God. And such were some of you. But you were washed, but you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of the Lord Jesus and by the Spirit of our God." 1 Corinthians 6:9-11.

You are suggesting it is automatic...not true.
One must repent and be baptized to receive the benefits of God's grace which was bought and paid for by Christ's death on the cross.
If you are referring to the law I am referring to....yes...we must function under the law of God's commandments.

The Bible is wrong on too many points to be regarded as from God

They are attempting to convey something, find out what

Please...give us some examples of the Bible...KJV...please, is wrong...?
If you plan to use one of the new age religion bibles...ignore my request.

Salvation is exactly this...

God has become man so that man might become God

This does not make me special...

It is just the actual point

WOW...educate me....there is no support in scriptures that says God expects man to be as Him. Are you thinking ...in our image?
That is not salvation. If those two statements were true then no earthly man would be receiving eternal salvation.

Nice scripture twisting. Actually, this isn't even twisting, it's made up out of whole cloth; the first two lines excepted.

I wasn't even attempting to quote scripture.....

These are basic human truths that you shouldn't need a Bible to be able to understand.

I would suggest that he means we

a) are made in his image and

b) should we pass the 'test' in this life we get to become eternal like God.

So we get to live as God does in his kingdom but we are not God, because we will still answer to the Trinity just as we do here on earth.

Galatians 3:20 says there is no mediator necessary

Not true...

Galatians 3:19-21 (NASB) Why the Law then? It was added because of transgressions, having been ordained through angels by the agency of a mediator, until the seed would come to whom the promise had been made. Now a mediator is not for one party only; whereas God is only one. Is the Law then contrary to the promises of God? May it never be! For if a law had been given which was able to impart life, then righteousness would indeed have been based on law.

It simply is saying a mediator was used in the giving of the law, but no mediator was used with the Gospel promise. That is because God is true to His Word.

H3no515 might be referencing Galatians 2:

"I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." - Galatians 2:20 KJV

The concept here is that we lose who we were and become vessels for God's work, like an obedient limb that performs as He wishes. Not so much "gods" in the concept of independent agents that have their own wants and desires, but one with God and God's will.

"For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another." - Romans 12:4-5 KJV

Jesus says nothing against homosexuality...

The second part of the law is to love all as yourself...

I think this covers it to the extent it does not involve me.

Whether they are saved is for God to say, not us

Jesus did not have to say anything against homosexuality for it to be a perversion God said it was. There are many things Jesus did not says were a sin but with godly judgment and discernment, it is a no-brainer.

For example, Jesus did not say :

bank robbery, carjacking, rape, child abuse, trafficking of women and children were sins specifically BUT Jesus would never do that nor is it godly nor, holy to do. they are as the Bible calls them Acts of evil and do not have to be labeled to be known as evil.

Your comment was perverse and twisted.

There are too many...

Basically everything it says about biology or cosmology is stupid

I get around this by acknowledging that is not the point...

Again I return to John 17:20-26 as my basis for accepting Jesus... but the book is written by men who knew nothing except God

When one has a low view of Scripture, their religion turns out something like goulash, a little of this and that till it just fits their taste.

My drive is towards the core truth, the purpose for their writing...

I hold this in high regard.
