paul, told you. To lead them (and you) to Christ as a schoolmaster,

the law does not tell you how to what ypur promoting, it was not made for that purpose

your taking the law out of context, and in doing so, destroying it,

I pray you see this soon, befor you damage other people
Paul told them their "law of Moses" was to be the schoolmaster leading them to know the spirit of the law and was not needed after the holy spirit was given them.

I do not think you are speaking the truth of the Lord wish all this saying not to listen to the law. It is saying the 119th psalm is all wrong, and that psalm was given to us by the Lord. It is wrong for us to use the law as salvation in any way, but I find scripture telling us to use the law and not scripture saying "do not listen to the spirit of the law", only to the law of Moses.

You know perfectly well that keeping the law is not what we are speaking of, it is WANTING to keep the law. This thread is about whether a saved person should then work for the Lord or not.

To say that you must keep the law perfectly to show you have faith in Christ, is (as I am sure you know) against what scripture tells us. However there are many verses in scripture telling us to obey, to be perfect (even though we can't be), and we are to follow Him. Those verses should not be twisted around to mean that if we aren't perfect we have no faith.

There seems to be demons at work and their work is brought out when anyone speaks of obedience. All sorts of twisting and objections are found. Usually scripture is used in the objections, although it is a twist of scripture, and the motive behind these seems to be working for disobedience to God, although scripture truth is used to promote this disobedience. It is true that works won't save us, that we are dead to sin, that sin was nailed to the cross, that many laws of Moses were cancelled. These are truths from the Lord. They are not to teach disobedience.
Hi blik, I tell what the problem is with discussing the law, Demons hate the prospect of a person they have under there influence becoming obedient because theyve read the law.

The fact is Jesus is a keeper of the law and a preacher of the law so dont be discouraged.

The problem youll find chatting about the law in a public forum like this. is the answer you get, may well be from a demon, because people will often the say the first thought that comes into there head. and of course demons can plant unclean thoughts in a persons mind to reject the law. so when you talk about the law theres a high chance many people will get spiritually oppressed by a demon because demons hate obedience.

This is why part of our holy law in the bible is to take every thought captive.
Theres other parts of the holy law which can help a christian to identify and overcome demon oppresion.. So of course if your getting loads of rejection about the law you could be getting dirrect answer from demons sadly.

No. Paul told THE CHURCH at Galatia (having jewish and gentile believers) that THE LAW OF MOSES was given for one purpose. TO LEAD US TO CHRIST that AFTER we come to christ. we have NO NEED OF A TUTOR.

I do not think you are speaking the truth of the Lord wish all this saying not to listen to the law. It is saying the 119th psalm is all wrong, and that psalm was given to us by the Lord. You have no comprehension of the law or its purpose

It was given to prove all under sin, that the promise of life might be given to those who believe based on the symbol of redemption through sacrificial system.

Moral law = guilty
Sacrificial law. = means of atonement

it is called the ministry of death written in stone (the ten commands and other commands Moses had them write in stone ) in which they were commanded to pbey every word. Failure to do so would bring a curse.

You claim you listen to the law. Yet you reject what the law teaches you.

Stop blaming others for your refusal to hear what God says

Galatians 4:21-31 are the most important verses on this topic

Moses and Muhammad are children of Hagar

Muhammad is like unto Moses and his Ummah is the nation promised to Ishmael.

We are children of Sarah, the promise unto Abraham.

Actually, we are the re-establishment of the Order of El

If you do not have the Spirit though you are still under law

How I wish you listened to scripture enough that we could discuss this, but I find you will only go to how good, right, and perfect you are and how bad, illogical, and impossible I am--
This is unmitigated slander. You cannot present any evidence that I "only go to how good, right, and perfect" I am. If you think otherwise, then PRESENT THE EVIDENCE.

Also, I have not ever said that you are "bad, illogical, and impossible". NEVER. Learn the distinction between a comment about your words and a comment about you.

no scripture allowed to interfere with these positions you have.
Yawn. When you present Scripture that, rightly interpreted, contradicts my position, I'll change my position. I won't hold my breath.

It is impossible to discuss scripture with you.
You only find it impossible to discuss Scripture with me because I insist on focusing on what the Scripture actually says, instead of focusing on your misconceptions thereof.

Then how do you find in scripture how we are to use the law that is given to us all through scripture. God tells us not to use it for salvation, what do you think God is telling us to use it for?

My post promote using law to help us know how to live with Christ within and in a belief that the 119th psalm is from God telling us how to use law, your posts all oppose mine in so many ways. God must mean for us to use it or scripture would not be so filled with it.
How does Psalm 119 harmonise with the NT covenant and what Jesus said and taught and how and what the apostles taught?

Are we talking about the 10 commandments or 613 commandments of the Mosaic law which was given to Israel?

The great condition commandment

The Great Commandment
34 But when the Pharisees heard that he had silenced the Sadducees, they gathered together.35 And one of them, a lawyer, asked him a question to test him. 36 “Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?” 37 And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the great and first commandment.39 And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. 40 On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.”

That fulfills the 10 commandments?
How does this relate to Psalm 119?

The new commandment.

The New Commandment
31 So, when he had gone out, Jesus said, “Now the Son of Man is glorified, and God is glorified in Him. 32 If God is glorified in Him, God will also glorify Him in Himself, and glorify Him immediately.33 Little children, I shall be with you a little while longer. You will seek Me; and as I said to the Jews, ‘Where I am going, you cannot come,’ so now I say to you. 34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. 35 By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”

Now this seems to be a new command.

How does this relate to Psam 119?

For me break down the above laws in Psalm 119 as you believe it with the above.

Jesus himself gave many commandments over and above the above.

I assume you have looked at the commandments Jesus gave as well.
How does this relate to Psalm 119?

So, you are either Jewish or Muslim... of Hagar

Christians are of Sarah

The sibling rivalry will never end

You misunderstand Christianity if you end up a child of Hagar

Let me post it:

Galatians 4:21-31
New International Version

Hagar and Sarah
21 Tell me, you who want to be under the law, are you not aware of what the law says? 22 For it is written that Abraham had two sons, one by the slave woman and the other by the free woman. 23 His son by the slave woman was born according to the flesh, but his son by the free woman was born as the result of a divine promise.

24 These things are being taken figuratively: The women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children who are to be slaves: This is Hagar. 25 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother. 27 For it is written:
“Be glad, barren woman,
you who never bore a child;
shout for joy and cry aloud,
you who were never in labor;
because more are the children of the desolate woman
than of her who has a husband.”[a]

28 Now you, brothers and sisters, like Isaac, are children of promise. 29 At that time the son born according to the flesh persecuted the son born by the power of the Spirit. It is the same now. 30 But what does Scripture say? “Get rid of the slave woman and her son, for the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son.”[b] 31 Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Interesting.

My ancestors were of Muslim faith.

My mum identified as a Muslim but not practicing, same as many who identify as Christian.

I'm the first Christian in my family and praise God she is now.
Jesus no longer a prophet but our saviour.

And We did certainly give Musa the book and followed up after him with messengers. And We gave Isa the son of Maryam, clarifications and gave him capacities with the ruh al-qudus. But is it [not] that every time a messenger came to youwith what your souls did not desire, you were arrogant? And a party] you denied and another party you killed. (2/87)

Allah spoke, and He raised some of them in degree. And We gave Isa on of Maryam clarifications, and We gave him capacities with the ruh al-qudus. If Allah had willed, those succeeding them would not have fought each other after the clear proofs had come to them. But they differed, and some of them believed and some of them disbelieved. And if Allah had willed, they would not have fought each other, but Allah does what He intends. (2/253)

It is there in Quran

Their development of Hebrews 5:7 around nafs/fana/baqaa is awesome, as is the development of ishq

The point is we take on Ruh Allah

The Baptism by Spirit...

Yes.

Of course, the Sufi's who emphasize this are killed regularly

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad.

"Hey Jude, don't make it bad.
Take a sad song and make it better".
Beatles are way before my time, their sound is kinda boring

The verse reads:
These are the people who divide you, who follow mere natural instincts and do not have the Spirit.

A good place to go from there, just to drive it home:

Ephesians 4:1-6
New International Version

Unity and Maturity in the Body of Christ
4 As a prisoner for the Lord, then, I urge you to live a life worthy of the calling you have received. 2 Be completely humble and gentle; be patient, bearing with one another in love. 3 Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called to one hope when you were called; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.
