yeah I did not write that last sentence too good

it should have read It is not Christ's love to condone or uphold homosexual activity and that includes the false notion that a woman can have a wife or a man have a husband .

the way I wrote it in the other post makes no sense ;)
yes, what people always forget, even Christian people, is that it is not loving to enable someone to stay in his... dung heap

Thank you much!

I don't need the final word with anyone because God has made it quite clear that He does not require me in the least . . . for anything. I am nothing in the grand scheme of things. After all, I have been wrong about God and His precepts in the past. The LAST thing that I am is a "know-it-all."
it is not true that you are a nothing in the grand scheme of things. Jesus sees you as though u were the only person who exists...

Man alive, I just can't say anything right according to you. Is this the job that you think God has given to you? To run around and correct everything thing that doesn't resonate in your human mind?

I wish you well.

who said anything about force? In fact it is the "gay folk" who try to force their sick agenda on all of society

children are paying attention to the insanity

a very sad, sad thing... corrupting our children. I can see a 5 yr old asking Mommy

"What does gay mean?"

Well, I know what I would say if I were a mother of a 5 yr old... The lgbt.. wouldn't want to know what I would say

sigh

you have wrongly applied what I said to something entirely different

anyway, this thread is really past my interest level

do carry on though

Let me ask you a question. Do you think a person who is gay is going to listen anyway?

You are better to take the advice of Matthew 10:14 in this sort of situation;

'And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.'

The gay community has shown where it stands on the Christian viewpoint. So why pour petrol on an already burning fire?
I see that you’ve got your head on straight! 😉
I agree. However, the Bible does tell us to “preach the gospel to every creature.”
Gays need to hear the gospel, too. Just because a lot of them reject the gospel, and honestly just hate God, that doesn’t mean that every single gay is totally opposed to the gospel. I have heard of quite a few people which got saved amd were able to turn from their wicked lifestyle and serve the LORD in amazing ways.
God saved wicked Manasseh, He can save them, too!!!

I would be the biggest hypocrite on the planet if I were to allow a gay person into my church so as a sinner might be Spiritually Healed, but then they come into my little bakery and I stand up and basically say to their face, "Get out." - Yep, and then next Sunday that same gay person comes to church and I hold my arms out and welcome them like nothing ever, ever happened.

Sick. Really sick. I cannot imagine being such a total jerk. I would hate myself.

If I owned my own bakery, and if some gay folk wanted me to bake a cake and make it nastay . . . I'd throw my head back, chuckle, and laugh out a, "Uhhhhh no! But I'll tell you what . . . this one time only, if you let me bake a respectful cake for you and your wedding, I'll do it for free."

I'd be so happy to see this person (for they're an opportunity to "save some," as the Apostle Paul would say), and I would explain why, which the name of my bakery should explain anyway "The Christian Baker." Hey, I highly doubt the gay folk would come into my little bakery, but if they did, they'd know what they were getting themselves into. But why not make them feel loved! Hate the sin, Love the person. Seems so simple to me. "Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Lord." Seems so simple to me.

Be happy. Never stifle the Joy of the Lord, especially when people are much, much, much less Righteous than we are (rolls eyes). Be always be happy; never be mean or cruel. Embrace those who need Christ? Or, shall we only embrace those who already claim to possess Him?

But here is where the buck stops: If "you" can't handle being around gay people, well . . . ok. But perhaps one day we will learn more of what it Truly means to be Confident. People who are Whole and Complete in Christ have the internal Grit of the Spirit so as to be Enabled to engage with sinners. This takes time . . . True Christians are Transformed, and that doesn't necessarily happen overnight. In fact, I don't think that anyone was instantly Transformed in all ways good. Maturity slowly comes, and this too, in terms of our Christianity. It is so important to realize that God doesn't require any of us to do a single . . . stinkin' . . . thing for Him. We are not that great. We breathe because He allows it to be. These realities often take much pain and agony to Truly learn and Know. But until we suffer and struggle, "arrested development" may linger for many, many years, if not decades.

Be strong, Christians! It's no big deal to serve a gay person. Do we not serve those who come into our churches, but have never received Christ? What . . . do we think that these people aren't smoking crack, having sex with animals, stealing, getting wasted, etc. These people continue to do these things during the week and in between church visits. Totally defiled, we allow them into our churches. But we don't know their exact sins. Do we care? Do we think to ourselves, "Geepers, I wonder what kinda crazy n wild stuff that little whippersnapper commits??" - No, we don't. We're supposed to be welcoming everyone . . . especially those who still live in horrific sin. We're supposed to be canvassing our neighborhoods, not looking for those who are saved, but looking for those who are, well . . . having sex with animals, smoking crack, getting wasted, stealing . . . all of that extreme stuff above. These are the ones who need Christ . . . DESPERATELY!

Remember . . . their Spirit was made by God just as was ours. Love those who hate you. Feed them, meaning, do good to those who hurt to destroy you.

I was relieved when I heard that theSupreme Court, which I had almost come to despise, made the correct decision in the baker case..

A baker named Phillips in CO had to deal with "gay people" demanding that he bake them a cake for their same sex wedding and he refused bc of his Christians beliefs on gay marriage. (I put "gay" in quotes attimes bc I don't believe in being gay, don't believe anyone is born gay.. its nonsense)

So the Supreme Ct voted in favor of religious freedom... whew... They've made a lot of bad decisions b4 butthis was not one of them.

So then a transgendered person thought he (she?) would do the samething to the same guy! Unbelievable.

Phillips had lost 40% of his business over thefirst lawsuit, fighting some (city?) Commission that ordered him not to make certain kinds of cakes anymore... So much for "it's a free country"...

anyway, the transgendered person at some point dropped the suit :)

I just thought I would share this w/ others who may not know about it..

sigh

[nostalgic sigh for the good old days when hardly anyone claimed to be "gay"]
Not to be pedantic but there was no demand from gay people. The demand was from homosexuals.

May Jesus bless you richly. Your wisdom is deep 😃

Let me tell you something practical I know from personal experience, knowing some gay people. They already know what Christianity teaches and thinks. The message has been delivered and received loud and clear. They also carry the belief that God doesn't like them. So calling them out only gets a defensive response, partly from guilt, partly from defiance, and partly from a lack of self esteem.

The way to win gay people over is not to take a combatant stance and thump them over the head with a Bible and it's teachings. Rather, sit and wait for them to be ready to come home, like the prodigal son. If a gay person wants to change, they'll come looking for Jesus on their own terms. I've seen it with my own eyes.

Doing so is a lot less stressful for both sides and at the end of the day, God gave us all free will. It's his greatest gift to humanity. We have to accept that not everyone wants to follow Christ and while we never close the door to them, we are better focusing on our own salvation and giving help to those who want it.

I wouldn't welcome them into my church either. Sodomites don't go to church in order to find Jesus. They go to church to infiltrate, corrupt, pervert, and destroy it. That's it. Yes, there might be an exception here and there. But the truth is if you want your garden to be productive, you've got to pull the weeds out on a regular basis.

I'll be standing by for one of your "okie dokie" responses.

I'm just going to add one little thing to this amazing litany.

How many times do you think gay people have been into this bakery, in secret without identifying themselves and purchased all manner of culinary delights?

The baker was happy to take their money then. It's only because they identified as gay and wanted it for a wedding that he got all upset.

Remember when Jesus said this?

". Tell us, then, what you think. Is it lawful to pay taxes to Caesar, or not?” But Jesus, aware of their malice, said, “Why put me to the test, you hypocrites? Show me the coin for the tax.” And they brought him a denarius. And Jesus said to them, “Whose likeness and inscription is this?” They said, “Caesar’s.” Then he said to them, “Therefore render to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, and to God the things that are God’s."

That is Jesus telling us that we should follow the law of the land (paying tax is law) The law says you cannot discriminate service based on age, gender, race, sexual orientation etc The baker is not the one committing the sin of gay marriage. He's just following the law of the land and selling a cake to a customer. And Jesus said that's okay.

Ya. That's a good point. If a homosexual wants to dress, speak and act like a normal human being, then it would be pretty difficult to kick them out of church. But the moment they put on their gay voice, hold hands with their "partner", or wear their ridiculous outfits, then you know that they're just attracting attention to themselves. Get them out of there.

Exactly. We've got to co-exist with one another, but we are not to enter into relationships with them. It is so simple . . . but then, we actually have to read and know the entire Bible . . . not just little portions of it.

Co- exist is not a Biblical term or concept. In the world, not of it. Do you think Jesus would bake a cake for a gay wedding? If you do you never listened when Jesus talked with sinners.

A gay couple can attend my church, I'd have no issue with it. Why? Because my pastor preaches the truth. We had a couple come to our church, and our church is small but very generous. This couple weren't married and living together. They were living off the gov't and he refused to get a job. He got her pregnant and the women of the church wanted to throw a baby shower for her. The pastor said they could throw a shower if they wanted to but not in the church. The woman bragged at the baby shower that she was sleeping with her partner and living off the gov't. It got back to the pastor who went to them and told them they needed to get married and he needed to get a job. To this they were greatly offended, and promptly left the church. One of our members left with them. The next Sunday our pastor got up and explained the situation. He said "I have to do what is right, if it offends I cannot help that. I preach the truth and if you're offended take it up with Him." So if the pastor preaches the truth, people will either be convicted and repent or offended and leave. Either way, they can't say they never heard the truth.

Now you're judging the bakers heart and his intent. And you're wrong for doing so. There are other cakes the baker is not willing to make, Halloween cakes for one. It's against what he believes. Why did the gay couple not go to a Muslim bakery and try to get a cake made? Exactly.

He's not discriminating. He has a right to his religious beliefs and if something goes against that the law cannot force him to make the cake. Freedom of religion still stands in America, for now. Jesus did not say it was ok. You're misusing the Scripture here.
