He even had a song.

"Life without Jesus
is like a doughnut
like a doughnut
like a doughnut
life without Jesus
is like a doughnut
because there's a hole in the middle of your heart! "

am not kidding. True story

well this thread seemed to pop up overnight, last time I logged in it wasnt here which was like only yesterday and its already got up to 5 pages.

What are you talking about again? doughnuts or toast? I dont consider donuts toast, arent they deep fried?

I consider anything toast if you can put it in a toaster.

Doughnuts aren't toast but they are bread

Can any bread be toast though

Pop tarts go in a toaster

Therefore pop tarts are toast

Another tasty way to eat bread, UN-toasted, is with gravy :D

Now some of you know I was born into and raised within a very large family...

A stack of bread was always on the table at lunch and dinner time, in case any wanted some with their meal.

Personally, I mostly saw no need for it, though there were times when a slice of bread slathered with gravy really filled that wee gap left before dessert following the main course dinner meal being all but done and gobbled up. Yes siree, once in a blue moon there was nothing quite like a slice of bread to sop up what drippings may have lingered on one's plate, and of course, the gravy was just, well, let's just say, it was gravy :giggle: Riding the gravy train  Need I mention we always "left room" for desert? Oh, yes, and sometimes, dessert was even made with bread! My mother made this concoction called Cherry Surprise LOL. It was a bowl lined with white bread to which cherry flavored Jello and fruit was added, and allowed to set. Surprise! :giggle: Jello soaked bread is actually surprisingly scrumpdillyicious ;)

Gravy on chips (fries) is a thing in parts of my country (mostly in the North east)

Regarding the toast I prefer mulit-grain bread. English muffins are good too.
