You are saying the sins can exist twice? One in Jesus and one at the death of an unbeliever? I guess this makes sense if Jesus is the Top Spirit with access to all souls.
Mortality is Original Sin. I'm talking about specific sins of someone.
No I don’t think I’m saying sins exist twice at all . I’m saying Jesus is the one who determines who is forgiven and who is not forgiven and he will do it according to what he has said in the gospel and sent forth into the world and said “ believe and be saved “
consider this parable brother concerning the forgiveness and mercy we receive from God this is Jesus teaching about the manner of forgiveness he has offered us
“Therefore is the kingdom of heaven likened unto a certain king, which would take account of his servants. And when he had begun to reckon, one was brought unto him, which owed him ten thousand talents. But forasmuch as he had not to pay, his lord commanded him to be sold, and his wife, and children, and all that he had, and payment to be made. The servant therefore fell down, and worshipped him, saying, Lord, have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. Then the lord of that servant was moved with compassion, and loosed him, and forgave him the debt.”
Matthew 18:23-27 KJV
the lord has forgiven us but we don’t stop in the middle of the parable
“But
the same servant went out, and found one of his fellowservants, which owed him an hundred pence: and he laid hands on him, and took him by the throat, saying, Pay me that thou owest. And his fellowservant fell down at his feet, and besought him, saying, Have patience with me, and I will pay thee all. And he would not: but went and cast him into prison, till he should pay the debt.
So when his fellowservants saw what was done, they were very sorry, and came and told unto their lord all that was done.
Then his lord, after that he had called him, said unto him, O thou wicked servant, I forgave thee all that debt, because thou desiredst me: Shouldest not thou also have had compassion on thy fellowservant, even as I had pity on thee?
And
his lord was wroth, and delivered him to the tormentors, till he should pay all that was due unto him.
So likewise shall my heavenly Father do also unto you, if ye from your hearts forgive not every one his brother their trespasses.”
Matthew 18:28-35
many don’t like to hear the truth but Jesus was teaching it all all
Of the truth of Gods kingdom in parables and teachings like this
our forgiveness the means is Jesus blood , but his words fully apply to that also a covenant is the word of God and then the blood of remission according to the prior debt. Or “the purchasing of the people by the lifeblood of a covenant.”
He taught us that because he has been merciful to us and forgiven our sins , we must now be merciful to others and forgive those who sin against us .
we surely are forgiven all
Our sins in Christ but we also like the man in the parable have an accounting to give to the lord
“For
we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
2 Corinthians 5:10 KJV
what Jesus has taught us is among many things this staple of mercy and forgiveness not only what he’s given to us , but what we now owe to others in his name
“
Be ye therefore merciful, as your Father also is merciful.
Judge not, and
ye shall not be judged:
condemn not, and
ye shall not be condemned:
forgive, and
ye shall be forgiven:
Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall be given into your bosom.
For
with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.”
Luke 6:36-38
we have to stand before his throne and give an account . We know the source of forgiveness was his blood , but that word is our salvation
“Blessed are
the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy.”
Matthew 5:7 KJV
It’s not so much sin we need to worry about now , we simply already know we have to repent of sin . It’s more about learning what we are supposed to do and how we are supposed to treat others .
sin and guilt and death is what the ot law is about
“Now we know that
what things soever the law saith, it saith to them who are under the law: that every mouth may be stopped, and all the world may become guilty before God.
Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for
by the law is the knowledge of sin.”
Romans 3:19-20 KJV
The gospel is about righteousness and life rather than sin and death
there is life in learning to forgive others there is always an instruction and promise in the word both are sure
“For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.”
Matthew 6:14-15 KJV
the reason Jesus has the authority to teach these things is because he is the one who shed his blood for forgiveness so he gets to determine now our law
“For
the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free
from the law of sin and death.”
Romans 8:2
We need the what to do”s the “ do nots” never helped men be right before God. The main thing Christ taught about sin is that we are to repent and not serve sin. The glory is in the teachings about Gods kingdom
like the parable there about forgiveness . Ultimately it’s Jesus who determines salvation as much as we would like to it comes down in the end to Jesus and the believer or non believer and the day of judgement
if we repent there is mercy everyday as much as we need but if we embrace sin and try to justify it by his blood then we are doing our own selves a dis service . He forgave us and will also decide who enters the kingdom and who enters satans eternal Home
