Then you have to deny the clear words of Rev 20, all of it.

The word "fire" is used throughout Scripture as a metaphor for God's judgment. So when Jesus Christ returns at the Second Advent, he will most assuredly be coming IN judgment upon the earth.

Rev 20-21:1 explains WHEN the earth melts and a new earth appears.

Correct.

I would suggest doing a search on the word "fire" in the Bible. you'll see how much of a fairytale dream it isn't.

2 Peter 2:6KJV
6 And turning the cities of Sodom and Gomorrha into ashes condemned them with an overthrow, making them an ensample unto those that after should live ungodly;

Luke 17:29-30KJV
29 But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all.
30 Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed.

2 Peter 3:10-13KJV
10 But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up.
11 Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness,
12 Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God, wherein the heavens being on fire shall be dissolved, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat?
13 Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness
OK, great, you are able to find verses where fire is used literally.

So, why don't you look all the uses of 'fire', unless you're afraid of what you will find?

OK, sure. A literal sword comes out of His literal mouth. If you say so. lol.

I never said it was literal. Obviously a literal sword is NOT coming out of his mouth. Why would you even think anyone would think that?

And that's what Jesus will do when He comes again. He sets up His kingdom and rules (judges) the world.

Anyone can pick and choose just the verses they want, to defend their opinions.

The point is; fire is used both figuratively and literally.

With discernment, one can determine which way is being used.

Ridiculous. Of course S&G were burned up by fire and brimstone. Literally.

So what's the point about S&G? Are you suggesting that ALL references to "fire" mean literal flames?

You think Jesus Christ comes back to earth to burn it up when He comes. Pure nonsense. He comes to reign on earth for 1,000 LITERAL years. And THEN, after the GWT judgment, after casting all unbelievers into the lake of fire, the present earth with melt with fervent heat (2 Peter 3:10,12) and there will be a new heaven and new earth. If anyone here is interested in a competing interpretation to the (comparatively new) Jesuit "Left Behind" Futurist ideas that are popularized here, which is more along the lines of what the Protestant Reformers taught for over three centuries of church history during the Protestant Reformation, click on this link:

The speaker was a SA University professor and atheist scientist for decades before becoming a Christian pastor, evangelist, author, researcher, and lecturer on many topics. His testimony on Youtube called "From Evolutionist to Creationist: My Most Difficult Journey" is so incredible, one wonders how it was possible this man found God at all.
No doubt he never looks at the rapture verses or the bride / groom components.

I said:
"The word "fire" is used throughout Scripture as a metaphor for God's judgment. So when Jesus Christ returns at the Second Advent, he will most assuredly be coming IN judgment upon the earth."

It's in His Word. Not hard to find.

Jer 23:29 - “Is not my word like fire,” declares the LORD, “and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces?
Amos 1:4 - I will send fire on the house of Hazael that will consume the fortresses of Ben-Hadad.
Amos 1:7 - I will send fire on the walls of Gaza that will consume her fortresses.
Amos 1:10 - I will send fire on the walls of Tyre that will consume her fortresses.
Amos 1:12 - I will send fire on Teman that will consume the fortresses of Bozrah. ”
Amos 1:14 - I will set fire to the walls of Rabbah that will consume her fortresses amid war cries on the day of battle, amid violent winds on a stormy day.
Malachi 3:2 - But who can endure the day of his coming? Who can stand when he appears? For he will be like a refiner’s fire or a launderer’s soap.
Wasn't it you that said the flood was not judgement?

Yeah, that's what most people do.

I said:
"The point is; fire is used both figuratively and literally.

With discernment, one can determine which way is being used."
You Deny Luke 17:29-30 Below As Being A (Literal) Event In Fire, It Clearlyteaches When Jesus ChristIs Reveaped, Its Gonna Be Just Like Sodom And Gomorrah, "Why" Do You Deny The Very Clear Teaching?

Sodom & Gomorrha were (Literally) Destroyed By Fire And Brimstone From Heaven.

What you OPINE about the use of "fire" in Luke 17 is ONLY your own opinion.

What you miss is the discernment to realize that the "day of the Lord" includes everything between His return AND the GWT judgment.

Since most of humanity will have already died before He returns, they WON'T see His return. Nor will they see anything about the Millennial rule. So, just when WILL they see Him, or when WILL He be "revealed by fire"? At the GWT judgment, when they will be immediately cast into the lake of FIRE. That's when.

So, first, let's examine v.20 which is part of the whole context:

"20 Once, on being asked by the Pharisees when the kingdom of God would come, Jesus replied, “The coming of the kingdom of God is not something that can be observed,"

So, your whole opinion about Jesus coming in FIRE is refuted by v.20. His coming IS NOT SOMETHIONG THAT CAN BE OBSERVED.

Now, 30 “It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed."

Since most of humanity will MISS Christ's return to earth, since they have already died and are NOT on earth, v.30 refers to the GWT judgment, when ALL of unbelieving humanity WILL be present and WILL see Him in His full glory. And that's WHEN "every knee will bow" before Him. Just before he casts them all into the lake of FIRE.

He presents prophecy from the Protestant Historicist perspective, which so decimated the power of the papacy that they were forced to invent Jesuit “Left Behind” Futurist as a defensive diversionary tactic in response to Historicism’s accurate identification of the Papacy as Antichrist.

If you’d prefer to “wonder after the Beast” and defend the papacy, I won’t condemn you - the truth remains unknown to those unwilling to follow where it leads. But, others who are “willing to do His will” need to know the truth about what happened in church history and where popular eschatological errors originated.

Unpack this for us;
I will wait.
25 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.
2 And five of them were wise, and five were foolish.
3 They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them:
4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.
5 While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.
6 And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him.
7 Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.
8 And the foolish said unto the wise, Give us of your oil; for our lamps are gone out.
9 But the wise answered, saying, Not so; lest there be not enough for us and you: but go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.
10 And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came; and they that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.
11 Afterward came also the other virgins, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us.
12 But he answered and said, Verily I say unto you, I know you not.
13 Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
