IMO, the manipulation of the very makeup of human beings is inspired by demonic beings. When we see God telling the Israelites to destroy everything having to do with the ungodly nations around them we should understand that even proximity seems to rub off the wrong way.

The fact that Israel never did completely obey what God told them regarding these things, comes to roost in the constant conflicts they endured and where we are in history today.

Besides just Genesis 6, Jude, and 2 Peter, all canonical scriptures, not forgeries like book of Enoch, or more lurid heresies, I'd also note there to be the connections of Jude and Peter's confirmation of the first round of fallen angels to Sodom and Gomorrah as means to describe the future end of the world. Sodom and Gomorrah is interesting on many levels for Peter and Jude to recall along with the wickedness of the angels and the Flood. In a sort of a parallel example the good angels which love God in the guise of men meet with Lot. The depraved men of the city of Sodom attempt to rape the angels and hurt meek and honorable Lot only to be blinded and utterly overthrown in a very famous episode of the Bible. Lot of course survives by the Word of God (JESUS) to Abraham in the chapter previous.
