There are 66 inspired books in the canon of scripture, don't consider Enoch as inspiredThe book of Enoch is mentioned in the New Testament, and I believe that it was taught to the Jews equally as much as the other books in the old testament.
Was seriously leaning towards studying it. Any words of wisdom from the audience?

Enoch was/is not considered inspired.
Chuck Missler, and his false teachings, in the Nephilim.I personally believe that it sheds much light on many things, especially the flood and those angels who took wives. In addition, the prophecy of Enoch was quoted by Jude:
"Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.”
I personally have a copy of the Ethiopic Enoch and there is a detailed account of Genesis 6:1-2 regarding the sons of God which are identified as angels in Enoch's version, as described below:
=====================================================
It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful. And when the angels, the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamored of them, saying each other: Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progeny of men, and let us beget children.
====================================================
Compare with Genesis 6:1-2
===================================================
Now when men began to multiply on the face of the earth and daughters were born to them, the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were beautiful, and they took as wives whomever they chose.
====================================================
The reference in Genesis to 'the daughters of men' makes a distinction between the 'sons of God' as not being human, i.e. not men, other than. Where in Enoch's prophecy, there is not doubt that the sons of God, the sons of heaven, are in fact the angels.
According to Enoch, there were 200 hundred of these angels who descended upon the top of Mount Armon. The lead angel warned them of their intentions, but to no avail. And they even bound themselves with execrations (oaths). After taking wives, the woman the woman conceived and brought for giants (Nephilim) which grew to be 300 cubits tall. After this, these angels, also called watchers, began to teach human beings things that they were not supposed to know, such as sorcery, divination, the dividing of roots, how to make weapons of war, the beautifying of the eye brows (make up), astrology, observing the stars and signs, etc. In addition, since the giants were out of scale with mankind, they could not produce enough food to keep them fed and they began to eat the flesh of everything, even men. This and the corruption that the angels caused was the main reason for the flood. For through them the world had become altered.
I believe that it is these angels/watchers that both Peter and Jude are referring to who were put into Tartartus in chains of darkness until the great white throne judgment - 2 Pet.2:4 & Jude 1:6
Hi Magenta,
Enoch used to be a part of the Bible. The fact that Jude quoted Enoch demonstrates that it is inspired, for God allowed Jude to quote Enoch's prophecy.
The apocrypha is part of some Bibles also, but that does not make any of it inspired.Hi Magenta,

Enoch was/is not considered inspired.
If that is true then the Epimenides words are inspired also (Titus 1:12).
Paul is not saying that all what Epimenides said or wrote was true but that statement was.. Just like Jude quoting a quote from Enoch. It's just as simple as that.
The book of Enoch is not inspired nor a biblical book. It may be entertaining reading as a book of interest but thats it!
The apocrypha is part of some Bibles also, but that does not make any of it inspired.
"As one of their own prophets has said, “Cretans are always liars, evil beasts, lazy gluttons.”
I'd have to say that your comparison is terribly unapplicable. Paul was repeating what their the Greeks own prophets HAD SAID, not that it was true. In my example Jude the half brother of Jesus is quoting Enoch, both men of God. That is a terrible comparison that you gave and you know it.
It is worth studying, and it does have the passage quoted by Jude, but try not to base Bible doctrine on anything therein. It is an apocryphal book.Was seriously leaning towards studying it. Any words of wisdom from the audience?
There is one class of angels that can take on human form, as Paul tells us when we are told we may be speaking with angels.Chuck Missler, and his false teachings, in the Nephilim.
The teaching that Angel's procreate with humans is (Greek Mythology)
The Sons Of God were human men, that married human women
Genesis 6:1-6KJV
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
3 And the Lord said, My spirit shall not always strive with man, for that he also is flesh: yet his days shall be an hundred and twenty years.
4 There were giants in the earth in those days; and also after that, when the sons of God came in unto the daughters of men, and they bare children to them, the same became mighty men which were of old, men of renown.
5 And God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
6 And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.
Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "apocryphal book"? Is that one of the extra books in the Catholic bible?It is worth studying, and it does have the passage quoted by Jude, but try not to base Bible doctrine on anything therein. It is an apocryphal book.
Angel's dont marry women on this earth and procreate, as the human men, married human women in Genesis 6:1-6There is one class of angels that can take on human form, as Paul tells us when we are told we may be speaking with angels.
You are stating that you have the truth about the spiritual world, but if you are a human you do not have this knowledge.
Those are the deuterocanonical books, written during a time when there were no prophets.Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "apocryphal book"? Is that one of the extra books in the Catholic bible?
Not in the Catholic bible, but in the non-canonical books of the Old Testament. Apocrypha literally means "hidden", but applies to books of dubious authority.Forgive my ignorance, but what is a "apocryphal book"? Is that one of the extra books in the Catholic bible?
