I've given all the usages in scripture. I've given all the verses where ' world ' is used . You've given me your opinion and a made up phrase ? why?Your confusion about the word world is still apparent.

He died for His Body, which is One with Him Eph 5:23-25,30-32Jesus is the elect..Israel as God's firstborn son is the elect . Did Jesus die for himself?
Irrelevant question. Im speaking of a world of folk that do not have their sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19 and a world of people who do 1 Cor 11:32Which verse does mean worldto you ? As in the whole earth and all its inhabitants? which verse please ?
lol, none of that helps you. 1 Jn 2:2 is the World of the Elect, its the World that God doesnt charge with sin 2 Cor 5:19

- 1 John 2:15-17 ” Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.”

- World meaning “The After Life”
- Luke 18:30 “Who shall not receive manifold more in this present time, and in the world to come life everlasting.”
And again . ' The world of the elect ' . This phrase does not exist . notice.I dont follow you. There are two worlds in view.2 Cor 5:19 the World of the Elect, no sin charged to it, then the condemned world 1 Cor 11:32 which has its sins charged to it, thats why its condemned.
Two different worlds in view. The Elect world which doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 and the world of the condemned 1 Cor 11:32 which has its sins charged to it.Is everytime the " world ' shows up ,is this the " elect ' ( Calvinist version of ' elect to salvation, that is) ?
There is no ' world of people ' phrase in that verse . Or anywhere ???Irrelevant question. Im speaking of a world of folk that do not have their sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19 and a world of people who do 1 Cor 11:32
case in point, thanks for demonstrating.
the Bible says He tasted death for "every man"
the Bible says He gave Himself the atonement for "not only for (believers), but also for the whole world"
you reject that, claiming it says the opposite of what it says.
so, no, dude, you definitely do not "go with what it says" -- you go with what you say, or rather, what your teachers have taught you, instead of what the scripture actually says.
i think you should just admit it.
and the really messed up thing?
there's not any harm to your belief in reformed theology. the atonement is still limited and salvation is still unrevokable - it is only that He holds out His hands, willing to rescue and redeem all who will come to Him, to give whosoever may thirst or hunger, water and bread without cost, so that they will be filled -- but it is only the elect of God, foreknown & predestined, who come. the atonement is not limited by God's willingness but by man's unwillingness. you do not have to constantly, brazenly reject the Word of God in order to hold onto those beliefs; you just have to admit you were wrong and that God's workings are more complex than what you originally believed them to be. it's to His glory
Again easy, He died for the whole world of the elect, jew and gentile. No I think it says the whole world of left handed people ,prove me wrong ? It doesn't say only left handed people . Nor does it say ' the world of elect '
( of course when i say ' elect ' I mean ' service)
No' world of elect ' phrase again. But ' whole world ' is there . How much clearer could you want it ? lol good grief man . It doesn't say ' whole world of elect ' , ' whole world of calvinists ' ," whole world of vegans ' . It says not our sins only ,but the sins of THE WHOLE WORLD ' No person is left out that verse . You couldn't make it any more clear if you tried .lol, none of that helps you. 1 Jn 2:2 is the World of the Elect, its the World that God doesnt charge with sin 2 Cor 5:19
Nothing strange about the word elect, the word is used all through scripture. Its a world of them. Thats world of the Elect doesnt have its sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19You keep using this strange term ' world of elect ' without justification . Which verse says this ' world of elect ' .
' World ' is not positive. Its bad . Thats how the bible uses it . You've invented a phrase to make the bible say what you want . Which is bad .
As it doesn't say ' elect world ' but rather it DOES say the whole world ' isn't it better to believe the bible?Christ died for the Elect world, or the World of His Elect, and because of that, they dont have their sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19. The people Christ tasted death for are part of the world that doesnt have its sins charged to them.
You still seem confused to me. There is a world that doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19;Jn 1:29 and a world of folk that does 1 Cor 11:32. So you giving all those definitions diesnt change that , sorryI've given all the usages in scripture. I've given all the verses where ' world ' is used . You've given me your opinion and a made up phrase ? why?
Doesnt matter if that phrase doesnt exist , its true non the less, the word world exist and the word elect exist, put them together you have the world of the elect. Thats the world that didnt have its sins charged to it. 2 Cor 5:19And again . ' The world of the elect ' . This phrase does not exist . notice.
19To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Where is the phrase ' world of elect ' please?
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
NKJV
that is, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not imputing their trespasses to them, and has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
NASB
namely, that God was in Christ reconciling the world to Himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and He has committed to us the word of reconciliation.
NLT
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
ASV
to wit, that God was in Christ reconciling the world unto himself, not reckoning unto them their trespasses, and having committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
Its not found even in the calvinist bible ( ESV )
that is, in Christ God was reconciling the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation
Why doesn't it say ' the elect world ' ? Is there no way those exact words could have been used ? Are there no Greek words to use ? . See you can't use that argument for what I'm saying . I say that Paul and John did have a way of saying what they wanted to say . The English has no issue. Look here it is without any qualifier.Again easy, He died for the whole world of the elect, jew and gentile.
2 Cor 5:19 is the world of the Elect, it doesnt have its sins charged to it.There is no ' world of people ' phrase in that verse . Or anywhere ???
NLT
For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting PEOPLE SINS against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation.
It means the world of the elect, its the world that doesnt have sins charged to it. There on the other hand is a world that is condemned 1 Cor 11:32, thats the world of the non elect ! Same for 1 Jn 2:2 its the whole world of the Elect whose sins God is appeased for. Then theres a world of people under Gods wrath Jn 3:36No' world of elect ' phrase again. You couldn't make it any more clear if you tried .
Thats the elect world, theres a world that doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 and a world that does 1 Cor 11:32, cant be the same world, sorry !As it doesn't say ' elect world ' but rather it DOES say the whole world ' isn't it better to believe the bible?
Same reason why it doesnt say its not the elect world. You have a world that has its sins charged to it 1 Cor 11:32 and a world that doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 Cant be the same world. Why doesn't it say ' the elect world ' ? Is there no way those exact words could have been used ? Are there no Greek words to use ? . See you can't use that argument for what I'm saying . I say that Paul and John did have a way of saying what they wanted to say . The English has no issue. Look here it is without any qualifier.
1 John 2:2
“And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.”
To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation.
See ? Just God communicating without riddles, Just direct information we should understand.
If You just let the verse read as it is without adding ' world of elect ' what does it say ?Same reason why it doesnt say its not the elect world. You have a world that has its sins charged to it 1 Cor 11:32 and a world that doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 Cant be the same world.
