Sins cannot be charged!

Your confusion about the word world is still apparent.

I've given all the usages in scripture. I've given all the verses where ' world ' is used . You've given me your opinion and a made up phrase ? why?

Jesus is the elect..Israel as God's firstborn son is the elect . Did Jesus die for himself?

He died for His Body, which is One with Him Eph 5:23-25,30-32


23 For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
24 Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;

30 For we are members of his body, of his flesh, and of his bones.
31 For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall be joined unto his wife, and they two shall be one flesh.
32 This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church.

So if Jesus Christ is Elect, His Body is also, for the Head and Body are One !

Which verse does mean world to you ? As in the whole earth and all its inhabitants? which verse please ?

Irrelevant question. Im speaking of a world of folk that do not have their sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19 and a world of people who do 1 Cor 11:32

• World meaning “Unbelievers of Christ”

• World meaning “Physical possessions”

lol, none of that helps you. 1 Jn 2:2 is the World of the Elect, its the World that God doesnt charge with sin 2 Cor 5:19

I dont follow you. There are two worlds in view.2 Cor 5:19 the World of the Elect, no sin charged to it, then the condemned world 1 Cor 11:32 which has its sins charged to it, thats why its condemned.

Is everytime the " world ' shows up ,is this the " elect ' ( Calvinist version of ' elect to salvation, that is) ?

Two different worlds in view. The Elect world which doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 and the world of the condemned 1 Cor 11:32 which has its sins charged to it.

the Bible says He tasted death for "every man"
the Bible says He gave Himself the atonement for "not only for (believers), but also for the whole world"

you reject that, claiming it says the opposite of what it says.

so, no, dude, you definitely do not "go with what it says" -- you go with what you say, or rather, what your teachers have taught you, instead of what the scripture actually says.

there's not any harm to your belief in reformed theology. the atonement is still limited and salvation is still unrevokable - it is only that He holds out His hands, willing to rescue and redeem all who will come to Him, to give whosoever may thirst or hunger, water and bread without cost, so that they will be filled -- but it is only the elect of God, foreknown & predestined, who come. the atonement is not limited by God's willingness but by man's unwillingness. you do not have to constantly, brazenly reject the Word of God in order to hold onto those beliefs; you just have to admit you were wrong and that God's workings are more complex than what you originally believed them to be. it's to His glory

Nothing strange about the word elect, the word is used all through scripture. Its a world of them. Thats world of the Elect doesnt have its sins charged to them 2 Cor 5:19

Doesnt matter if that phrase doesnt exist , its true non the less, the word world exist and the word elect exist, put them together you have the world of the elect. Thats the world that didnt have its sins charged to it. 2 Cor 5:19

I say that Paul and John did have a way of saying what they wanted to say . The English has no issue. Look here it is without any qualifier.

It means the world of the elect, its the world that doesnt have sins charged to it. There on the other hand is a world that is condemned 1 Cor 11:32, thats the world of the non elect ! Same for 1 Jn 2:2 its the whole world of the Elect whose sins God is appeased for. Then theres a world of people under Gods wrath Jn 3:36

Same reason why it doesnt say its not the elect world. You have a world that has its sins charged to it 1 Cor 11:32 and a world that doesnt have its sins charged to it 2 Cor 5:19 Cant be the same world.
