tbh I dont believe in a "vegetative soul"

I don't think things like growth and reproduction need a soul ???
We observe that something is missing when it's dead. It's life principle is no longer animating it and it succumbs to decay and dissappears into the earth.

the thing that is missing when something is dead is "life" but I don't see why we need to call that "life" a soul ???

The brain is using the same thing we see in interference patterns. The physical brain is translating what we are thinking from it. Alzheimer's disease shows a signal that gets messed up from a physical brain that is mushy. All quantum effects can be attributed to interference. All quantum effects have to be unobserved and coherent.

A soul connects to the Vector Field of Waves.

Brain activity before you actually react to an event that didn't happen yet.

The physical brain is a playback device.
They observe the brain obedient to the law of survival.

right.
Soul=principle of life

maybe we could apply Occam's razor to ideas about the soul

so instead of the Aristotelian belief that souls are either vegetative, sensitive or rational, we could simply use "soul" to mean "mind"

and instead of saying that bodies, souls and spirits exist, we say that only bodies and souls exist (with "soul" being interchangeable with "spirit")

I think it is better to remove any unnecessary complexity whenever we try to understand things

your thoughts ???

The life principle of organic matter is called soul. Plant and animal souls are products of earthly processes. All but the human animal that possesses powers that don't originate in organic matter. Powers distinct from the sensitive powers found in all animals.
Animals have the same breath of life from God that humans do.

Physicality + God's breath of life = living soul.

have you read the Bible for that ?

Our bodies shall be raised and glorified on Rapture Day...

Our bodies will not be corruptible flesh, but it does not logically follow that they will be wispy and cloud-like. God thought it good to make Adam a certain way, and I'm sure he looked much less like a monkey than poor Darwin did.

A body that is perfect and doesn't age ..doesn't sound physical with entropy to me.

God gave man's body the power to overcome entropy. That is why you don't bleed to death every time you get a paper cut.

Psalms 139:14 I will praise thee; for I am fearfully [and] wonderfully made: marvellous [are] thy works; and [that] my soul knoweth right well.

Jesus needed to be physical while still here on Earth. Why would humans need it after the Earth is done?

"Needing it" is not the point. When God offers you a glorified body at the Rapture, you can just put up your hand and say, "No thanks, I don't need it." Be prepared for lots of chuckles from the peanut gallery.

The point of this thread is that Heaven has nothing to do with physicality. You can still look like a body ..you just won't have entropy. ..you will be waves.
