the man Jesus is what the Spirit of Christ took on. The Spirit of Christ is eternal the body of Jesus was formed by the Power of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of Christ has always been known as the " the Word" Logos found in John's gospel chapter 1. Jesus is the very expression of the Father who cannot be seen. Jesus came not by the will of man but of the Holy Spirit. Jesus willfully took on the body of a man to accept the limitation of the body the Spirit of Christ emptied Himself to achieve the will of the Father. The theological term is known as Kenosis.
The Body of Jesus is eternal because that body is the witness of the price paid for all. You will see HIm you will touch Him you will hear Him, all this will be done and all will be done literally.
My understanding is that Jesus is fully human and fully divine (FHaFD).
Therefore Jesus is flesh (fully human) and cannot BECOME flesh, as he is flesh already.
If my understanding that Jesus is FHaFD is wrong then perhaps you are correct.

the person Jesus was born as you and I were as a baby with flesh. The only difference is Jesus had no earthly father who impregnated mary.

Definitely what Jesus went through. He was beat, ridiculed, stripped naked, whipped with shards of bone or steel until his back was ribbons of flesh. Then forced to drag his beam of wood up while under blood loss, the weight crushing his back, being spit on, and then he collapsed. So they get him up to hill. Lay him down on the beams. Hammer a nail in both wrists and ankles. They raise him in the air where he must fight gravity to breath. He must push up while the nails are grinding against flesh and bone. As he raises up, his back with muscle and tissue exposed scrapes across the wood. He breaths and weakness, pain, and gravity force him to do it all over again until trauma and blood loss end his life sooner than expected. They were about to break his legs to allow suffocation but he was already dead.
Interchange the word "Word" for Jesus.
