sorry to say, if that is your understanding of God, you may have to go back and relearn the love of God. Learn what the scripture means when it says God is Love.
God is not an unconditional lover...He will take us the way He finds us...but He loves us too much to leave us that way.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.

If you are a Roman catholic are you saved? I would say no. When you participate in eating and drinking in Jesus’ blood and flesh you don’t accept Him as the once for all sacrifice for sins...and don’t get me started on the Mary worship...

There is no such thing as unconditional love...God doesn’t have it for us. He loves us yes...but He will throw people into the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth if you don’t believe in Jesus. Is that unconditional love? Even when you believe...you must become a new creation...is that love unconditional?
God is love as it is written. Why not learn and understand what this means

God’s way are not our ways...and that goes for His love.

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭
Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come.
What does that verse mean to you then?

The truth is that God's ways are our ways because our Lord Jesus Christ has declared the way of God to us and we must live accordingly. And that goes for his love. We must love as he loves.

In its simplest form, it means, we as Christians must live the life of God here on earth. This will suffice. No need to go into the intricacy of being a new creature.

But God says that we will become a new creation..they old has gone away and the new come. Proves that He isn’t into unconditional love.

They way God loves us is to tell us we are sinners and that we will be thrown into the lake of fire where there is weeping and gnashing of teeth if we don’t believe on His Son Jesus. That’s the way God loves.

No, I do not believe that ( i.e the way you are saying it and making it sound). However, whatsoever, God says and does is purely for our own benefit. note , purely for our benefit not his. We do not add or remove anything from his divinity or Being either by our goodness or "badness". All his thoughts towards us are thoughts of peace, not of evil to give us an expected end as it is written in Jeremiah.

You must have read the scripture in 2 Peter that tells us that God suffers long with us because he is not willing that any of his children should perish but all should come to repentance. He makes his love available to all including sinners and punishes or chastises us when we sin because sin works to our detriment. Therefore he wants us to come out of that state of sin or darkness into his glorious light to enjoy the eternal life he has promised us.

Sin or darkness has no part in God. As such, if we say we are his children, we must come out of that environment of sin into the environment of God to have our inheritance. Light and darkness cannot coexist. they are parallel. If we obstinately remain in that sin environment, when that which is perfect comes, sin including the wicked is destroyed. Ithink, that should be expected since the two cannot coexist. .

The sinner is destroyed not because God does not love him but he chooses to destroy himself by the evil of his hands. It is done for the overall good of all creatures

So, when we talk of the unconditional love of God, we must have the overall picture in mind.

That’s warped.

God’s the one that made the everlasting punishment for sinners.

Matthew‬ ‭25:46‬ ‭
These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life.

Revelation‬ ‭20:11-15‬ ‭
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose presence earth and heaven fled away, and no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened; and another book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the books, according to their deeds. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it, and death and Hades gave up the dead which were in them; and they were judged, every one of them according to their deeds. Then death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

God does love us..but we will either have eternal punishment or eternal life. Those who have eternal life will be new creations and walk that narrow path that leads to life. Really doesn’t sound like an unconditional kind of love.

Matthew‬ ‭7:13-14‬ ‭
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it. For the gate is small and the way is narrow that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

I’m not sure when the lines got muddied and people started thinking catholics were Christians.
Probably around the year AD 325... though Catholics might say AD 30.

Lol...good point. I meant recently. It seems to me that there was that divide that catholics were separate from Christians...well at least I grew up thinking they were separate entities..and then it seems now recently they’ve been branded the same. Perhaps it was the reformation that separated them for a time and now they are back being seen as one again?

I think the point the op is making is that these children are suffering and needs help. We can help if there is opportunity. It does not matter the cause of their starvation and malnutrition. Give Love unconditionally, that is what the bible teaches us. i think it is a great post.
Do you know that an estimate of only 5% (this is being generous) of donations for welfare get to the place the money was donated for? The rest of the funds pay salaries, rent and other expenses. You can throw money to problems but it will not make them go away. The hungry children in Zimbabwe can't eat Dollar bills. You need to bring back responsible farming and teach the people how to create food. If you don't, the moment you stop delivering food they will die of hunger again until the next food truck stop there.

The problem is not C-19, the problem is corrupt and power hungry government officials.

And again the children can't eat love! You can show them love but if they are hungry they will not even listen to your "love".

Pre 1980 Zimbabwe was called the bread basket of Africa. This is because of the amount of food that were generated there through farming. After Robert Mugabe came to power and stole all the farms from the farmers the whole system collapsed and no more food were being grown in one of the most fertile pieces of land on planet earth. How people can try to argue about this blows my mind. Maybe they don't know the facts but the facts can't be disputed.

Then you have people telling us it is C-19s fault that these people are dying of hunger 41 years later? Come on guys. Don't be so easily deceived.

Yes people are dying of hunger in Africa but not due to C-19. It is because of greed and corruption.
