would someone like t weigh in on who the " daughters of men " and " sons of God " are in Genesis 6:1-4?
“Which was the son of Enos, which was the son of Seth, which was the son of
Adam, which was the son of God.”
Luke 3
“This is
the book of the generations of Adam. In the day that God created man,
in the likeness of God made he him; Male and female created he them; and blessed them, and
called their name Adam, in the day when they were created.
And Adam lived an hundred and thirty years, and
begat a son in his own likeness, after his image; and called his name Seth:
And Seth lived an hundred and five years, and begat
Enos:
And Cainan lived seventy years, and begat
Mahalaleel:
And Mahalaleel lived sixty and five years, and begat
Jared:
And Jared lived an hundred sixty and two years, and he begat
Enoch:
And Enoch lived sixty and five years, and begat
Methuselah:
And Methuselah lived an hundred eighty and seven years, and begat
Lamech:
And Lamech lived an hundred eighty and two years, and begat a son: And
he called his name Noah, saying, This same shall comfort us concerning our work and toil of our hands, because of the ground which the Lord hath cursed.”
Genesis 5:1-3, 6, 12, 15, 18, 21, 25, 28-29
the world has always had two groups of people the children of God come from his chosen people. The line of Seth on those days , the line of Cain who was exiled from the people of God because he killed Abel the chosen heir ,his line is the line of man.
so Seth replaces Abel as the line of the sons of God which would eventually lead to Jesus Christ the son of God , to make the church the sins of God like in the beginning when they called upon his name and Gods people had mixed with the secular rebellious people. Which corrupted the people of God as introducing sin into thier lives always does
“And Adam knew his wife again; and she bare a son, and called his name Seth: For God, said she, hath appointed me another seed instead of Abel, whom Cain slew. And to Seth, to him also there was born a son; and he called his name Enos: then began men to call upon the name of the Lord.”
Genesis 4:25-26 KJV
and the gospel offers reconciliation to that relationship And life it brings to
Mankind
“But
as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Which were
born,
not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but
of God.”
John 1:12-13 KJV
There are still on earth today the sons of God who will live and the children of Men who will die.
