I don't know where it says manna is angels food. When we are living with the Lord in the new Jerusalem, it will be a new Heaven and a new Earth, the old will be passed away. I think our food from the Tree of Life will be spiritual food. The Lord is our spiritual food also so I don't know how that all goes together. Thank you for your input. Not so simple for me yet.
Ezekiel 47:7 Now when I had returned, behold, at the bank of the river were very many trees on the one side and on the other.

Ezekiel 47:8 Then said he unto me, These waters issue out toward the east country, and go down into the desert, and go into the sea: which being brought forth into the sea, the waters shall be healed.

Ezekiel 47:9 And it shall come to pass, that every thing that liveth, which moveth, whithersoever the rivers shall come, shall live: and there shall be a very great multitude of fish, because these waters shall come thither: for they shall be healed; and every thing shall live whither the river cometh.

Ezekiel 47:10 And it shall come to pass, that the fishers shall stand upon it from Engedi even unto Eneglaim; they shall be a place to spread forth nets; their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the great sea, exceeding many.

Ezekiel 47:11 But the miry places thereof and the marishes thereof shall not be healed; they shall be given to salt.

Ezekiel 47:12 And by the river upon the bank thereof, on this side and on that side, shall grow all trees for meat, whose leaf shall not fade, neither shall the fruit thereof be consumed: it shall bring forth new fruit according to his months, because their waters they issued out of the sanctuary: and the fruit thereof shall be for meat, and the leaf thereof for medicine.

Have you checked existing threads on this subject in CC? In brief the daughters of men are human women whereas the sons of God are fallen angels who co-habited with them and produced Nephilim or giants.
That would represent your brief.

In brief as many as are led by the Spirit of Christ are Sons of God. . not one more or one less. No new creatures .God finished creating all the kinds before he rested on the last day.

Noah's family was used to reserve the seed .

Romans 8:14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God

Garee, you are not authorized to misapply and misrepresent Scripture. The evil angels called "sons of God" in the OT were NOT being led by the Spirit of God. They were under Satan's control. They are called "the angels which kept not their first estate" and "the angels which sinned". They are imprisoned and chained in Tartarus for a reason. And that is found in Genesis 6.

So unless you understand the Bible properly, you will continue to sow spiritual confusion and mislead some. The reason human beings are never called "sons of God" in the OT is because that term is applied only to angels (both good and evil). In the book of Job that term is applied primarily to the holy angels.

Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (Job 1:6)

Again there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them to present himself before the LORD. (Job 2:1)

Where wast thou when I laid the foundations of the earth? declare, if thou hast understanding. Who hath laid the measures thereof, if thou knowest? or who hath stretched the line upon it? Whereupon are the foundations thereof fastened? or who laid the corner stone thereof; When the morning stars sang together, and all the sons of God shouted for joy? (Job 38:4-7)

However, in the New Testament, angels are called angels, and the children of God through the New Birth are called "sons of God".

Not simple, impossible, but when yoked with Christ the teacher. . it can become lighter . . .he causes the growth if any..

From my experiences word study can be beneficial .Many meaning have been changed which can change the intent of the author and finisher of our faith .

In order to protect the integrity of the word of God he has given us two safeguards. One in represent to a word singular. Changing the meaning one can change many commands .(Deuteronomy 4:2) and the other safeguard at the end of cannon. . . do not ad or subtract from the whole or perfect . (Revelation 22:18)

The word manna is very interesting as to its purpose. It was used to stop the grumblings of unbelief. The Jew had become familiar with the prison life and prison food that they had as slaves to unrighteousness typified by Egypt, the Pharaoh signified the father of les the god of this world ( Egypt)

Like all the doctrines of God they come from above and fall like rain or dew using water to represent the work of Holy Spirit. not earthly inspired of the devil

Deuteronomy 32:2 My doctrine shall drop as the rain, my speech shall distil as the dew, as the small rain upon the tender herb, and as the showers upon the grass:

In Exodus 16 we can see how that works ( raining down manna covered by dew )

And when the dew that lay was gone up, behold, upon the face of the wilderness there lay a small round thing, as small as the hoar frost on the ground. Exodus16: 14

Exodus16: 2-8 And the whole congregation of the children of Israel murmured against Moses and Aaron in the wilderness:
And the children of Israel said unto them, Would to God we had died by the hand of the Lord in the land of Egypt, when we sat by the flesh pots, and when we did eat bread to the full; for ye have brought us forth into this wilderness, to kill this whole assembly with hunger. Then said the Lord unto Moses, Behold, I will rain bread from heaven for you; and the people shall go out and gather a certain rate every day, that I may prove them, whether they will walk in my law, or no.

The word manna itself is a question that moves us to search it out. ( What is it?) I call it the bread of unfamiliarity.

God is not a man as us in that way.

Familiarity, taking things for granted can become lukewarm it can cause hatred and death.

With Jesus His own family rejected he came to his own and the crucified him. Manna the bread of unfamiliarity. It is also shown with Jesus when the disciples went to get something to eat and asked Jesus . He said I have food (manna) that you know not of. . . the food of doing the will another not seen and finishing it.

The color of it was a pearl another metaphor describing the word of God. The pearl of great cost also used to describe the 12 gates in Revelation . and the taste as honey another metaphor to represent to sweet fellowship of the word.

Exodus 16:31 And the house of Israel called the name thereof Manna: and it was like coriander seed, white; and the taste of it was like wafers made with honey.

I am aware of the Job usage. Those kind of messengers have no gender. No commandment be fruitful and multiple. Nothing in Job that says they have the ability to procreate with another kind of creation. And I am still trying to figure how that would idea would apply to the gospel as part of the context? From my perspective good holly wood stuff

Why not just two people unevenly yokes in a spiritual sense and God preserves the seed ?

How would your idea apply to the Hebrews 13 reference . Don't entertain taller men? That would mean some angel DNA did make it past the flood.

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

How would that fit into the context of Genesis 6 not Job a different application ? Did the renegade angel dna all die because of the flood. How many where there before the flood? There must be some sort of purpose than can be applied to the gospel meaning.

Those simply are not the kind of messengers I am referring to .

It can apply the kind that bring a message not seen or seen human . The key in context with Genesis 6 (Not Job)

It depends if one is led by the Spirit that dwells in a person. In this case men who are led by the holy Spirit . Noah family passed on the gospel seed unlike Onan who saw no value in the things not seen.

There are still tall people walking around. Is there a maximum height requirement after the flood.

Talk about spiritual confusion.

When it was decided to toss out the book of Enoch they tossed out hope of understanding the truth of the sons of man and daughters of men. Scripture did not toss it out, you would think that scripture would be followed.
There is also more information in the book of Jubilees about the Sons of God. They not only had intercourse with women but also
experimented with animals. The text reminds me of DNA research. Another interesting feature is the names of Adam and Eves Daughters and that they married Cain and Seth. So the old question of where Cain got his wife from is answered.

Noah's family were considered righteous. Physically they had the same genetic fault as the rest of mankind because after the flood
the Israelite's were still coming up against Giants.

Do you really take Gnostic Gospels as truth... The 66 Books of the Bible?

To me this is really a puzzling response. The Book of Jubilees is neither Gnostic or a Gospel. Both Jubilees and Enoch are ancient
Hebrew books and were around centuries before any Gnostic Gospels were written. Copies of Enoch were found with the dead Sea scrolls. I'm not certain whether Jubilees was found as well. Both of these books are considered scripture by the Ethiopian Church.

The early church used the Greek Septuagint OT which didn't include these books but did include what is called the Apocrypha by
Protestant Churches. The Catholic and Orthodox Churches follow this tradition and their Bibles were standard until the reformation.
The Bible we used was first introduced then. Martin Luther instigated it and its based on the Jewish cannon which in turn
was created by a group of Rabbis after the destruction of Jerusalem. Some books including Enoch and Jubilees were left out because
they were also read by Christians. Luther's Bible omitted James, Jude, 1 and 2 Peter and Revelation! These books were put back when he died.

Yet the Nephilim return, post flood. Hmmmm...

I have heard 3 theories on the "and also afterward" in THIS verse. All are speculative. What is NOT speculative is that the "sons of God" in Gen. 6 are fallen angels., and

Genesis 6:4 New King James Version (NKJV)
4 There were giants on the earth in those days, AND ALSO AFTERWARD, when the sons of God came in to the daughters of men and they bore children to them. Those were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown.

1. There was a second (or even 3rd) incursion of fallen angels.
Seems unlikely to me after the remaining angels saw the offending angels getting tossed into Tartarus.

2. Corrupted sea creatures survived the Flood and somehow mixed with post flood humans.
Don't like it. For a variety of reasons.

3. The regressive corrupted genes were carried forth by one or more of Noah's daughters in Law.
This is the most likely IMO.
ALL flesh had corrupted itself except Noah. I think it is safe to assume Mrs. Noah, since they are regarded as "one flesh" by God, is incorrupt as well. Meaning their children are incorrupt.

My niece's son has cystic fibrosis. Terrible disease. BOTH of his parents must carry the gene, and even then there is only a 1 in 4 chance of their offspring getting the disease.

This may be why future nephilim are not only less prevalent post Flood, but of smaller scale and abilities. (King Og of Bashan was 15 ft, Goliath 10-12 ft, instead of 30 ft or more)

It also explain the very strict enforcement by God of not intermingling with other people, and the VERY harsh decrees to completely wipe out certain people groups. Even being told to run their swords through infants and toddlers.
This is directly from the Lord:
1 Samuel 15:3 New King James Version (NKJV)
3 Now go and attack Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and do not spare them. But kill both man and woman, infant and nursing child, ox and sheep, camel and donkey.’ ”

The Amelekites were certainly more than just a little infected!

So are the 66 Book that make up the Bible today not the only infallible, inerrant Word of God?
All truth comes from God wherever its found because God is truth. Jude had no problem quoting a verse from Enoch in his letter.
Paul quotes at least one Pagan Greek Philosopher in his letters. Martin Luther didn't think James,Jude, 1 and 2 Peter and Revelation were inspired. He called James Letter a Letter of straw and left it and the others out of his Bible. If they hadn't been placed back in the Bible after his death we would be talking about 61 books instead of 66 and treated them the in the same way as the Apocrypha. Also we wouldn't be having endless discussions about Revelation. Incidentally the Jewish OT has less books than ours because some are combined. Also it is divided into three sections in accordance with the degree of inspiration given to them. It seems that one mans scripture is another mans Falsehood.

The Truth found in the Bible is Spiritual not necessarily factual that's why we have four Gospels instead of one continuous account.
Compare Johns Gospel with the other three and notice the huge differences of content. Just one example is how Jesus in Mark tells
his disciples to keep quiet about his Messiahship and according to John he openly told people about it including the Samaritan woman and Martha.

Finally to get back to the subject of the thread here are a couple of samples from the Book of Jubilees

And it came to pass when the children of men began to multiply
upon the face of the earth and daughters were born unto them
that the angels of God saw them on a certain year of this Jubilee
that they were beautiful to look upon and they took themselves
wives of all whom they chose and they bare unto them sons and they
were giants. And lawlessness increased on the earth and all flesh
corrupted its way alike men and cattle and beasts and birds and
everything that walks on the earth. all of them corrupted their ways
and their orders and they began to devour each other and lawlessness
increased on the earth and every imagination of the thought of all
men was thus evil continually and God looked upon the earth and
behold it was corrupt and all flesh had corrupted its orders and all
that were upon the earth had wrought all manner of evil before his
eyes. And he said that he would destroy man and all flesh upon the
face of the earth which he had created. But Noah found grace before
the eyes of the lord. And against his angels whom he had sent upon the
earth He was exceedingly wroth and he gave commandment to root
them out of all their dominion and he bade us to bind them in the depths
of the earth and behold they were bound in the midst of them and are kept
separate. And against their sons went forth a command from before His face
that they should be smitten with a sword and be removed from under heaven.

Jubilees 5: 1-8

Adam and Eve

And in the third week in the second jubilee she gave birth to Cain and in the forth
she gave birth to Abel and in the fifth she gave birth to her daughter Awan. And in
the first year of the third jubilee Cain slew Abel because God accepted the sacrifice of
Abel and did not accept the sacrifice of Cain and he slew him in a field and his blood
cried out from the ground to heaven complaining because he had slain him

Jubilees 4: 1-3

Adam and his wife mourned for Abel four weeks of years and in the forth year
of the fifth week they became joyful and Adam knew his wife again and she
bare him a son and he called his name Seth for he said God has raised up a
second seed unto us on the earth instead of Abel for Cain slew him. And in the
sixth week he begat his daughter Azura. And Cain took Awan his sister to be his
wife and she bare him Enoch at the close of the forth jubilee, houses were built
on the earth and Cain built a city and called its name after his son Enoch. And Adam
knew Eve his wife and she bare him nine sons. And in the fifth week of the fifth
jubilee Seth took his sister Azura and in the fourth year of the sixth week she bare
him Enos.

Jubilees 4: 1-12

Whether you believe all this to be fact or not it is obvious that Adam and Eve's children
must have got wives from somewhere.

The book of Jubilees covers the accounts in the whole of Genesis and ends with the
children of Israel leaving Egypt. It is believed to have been written somewhere between
135 and 90 BC possibly by a Pharisee familiar with Jewish traditions and folklore well known
at the time.

How would that pertain to the gospel meaning. . . the golden thread woven throughout the scriptures?

No book of Enoch or Catholic council. The commandment to Adam a creature formed from the dust DNA was to be fruitful and multiple. Angels cannot multiple .

Angels cannot take on form of shapeshifters other than special effect department Hollywood. If they could take on form ( shapeshifters ) it would of been used in the garden when the father of lies put his words on the lips of the serpent a creature that has DNA. Or with Peter in Mathew 16 When God said to Peter get behind me Satan you have in mind the things of men, not the things of shapeshifters.

In order to stop the madness of the false prophets Balaam, God who has not form put his words on the mouth of that beast in the same way as in the garden . God does not change shift into a donkey

Believers as sons of God the renown multiplying with natural born mankind as daughters of men .Don't be unevenly yoked.

God sent the flood to reserve the seed Christ which was fulfilled in the Son of man Jesus. The father puts His words in his mouth as in the last days he spoke through his Son who came to do the will of the father.
All truth comes from God wherever its found because God is truth. Jude had no problem quoting a verse from Enoch in his letter.

The whole idea does not make biblical (gospel) sense.

To me its like trying to put a square into a round hole

What was the maximum height requirement before and after the flood?

Who were the mighty men who were of old, men of renown? The prophets like Noah or David the giant slayer?

Numbers 16:2And they rose up before Moses, with certain of the children of Israel, two hundred and fifty princes of the assembly, famous in the congregation, men of renown:

Isaiah 14:20Thou shalt not be joined with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land, and slain thy people: the seed of evildoers shall never be renowned.

Ezekiel 16:14 And thy renown went forth among the heathen for thy beauty: for it was perfect through my comeliness, which I had put upon thee, saith the Lord God.

How would not dating taller men have a affect on the gospel ? Or is not searching for the gospel meaning irrelevant?

Can angels drown? Did they all drown? How many ?

When entertaining one today how can we be sure that stranger is the right kind .Height requirement?

Hebrews 13:2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares

What it says about not adding or taking away in Revelation only applies to that book which John sent to seven churches. They didn't have leather bound Bibles in the first Century not even the KJV. Martin Luther didn't add or subtract from Revelation. He got rid of it altogether. Books like Enoch and Jubilees supplement our understanding and were used by the early church. There is little difference
between reading a modern book by a Christian writer and reading an ancient Hebrew book. I have read many books by respected
Christian writers but I don,t necessarily agree with everything they write let alone advocate adding them to the cannon of scripture
even when I agree with them a hundred percent. The book of Jubilees to a large extent follows the path of Genesis and some of Exodus
it is more like a commentary than anything else but with some interesting details and allusions to NT ideas. The book of Enoch has one passage that is used in a New Testament letter. It also has passages that refer to the Messiah which have strong echoes concerning Jesus The regular Bible didn't suddenly drop down from heaven fully written or dictated to one person like the Koran is alleged to have been to Mohammed it has a history and spiritual teachings that are behind the plain letter. If anyone wants to stick to just studying the Bible fine. All I'm saying is that there is a deeper understanding to be gained by a closer look at the roots of our faith.
