Well word does not mean the same thing as thy did, and if you study on it a little, You mite see it A little different, But GOD IS Right ,And HIS WORD, And the BIBLE does not AGREE with what you are saying, GOD bless as GOD sees GOOD FOR YOU.
You didnt even try to prove it to me. I posted a verse that proved my case, they said in the context: DRUNK, NEW WINE <- according to what you guys are saying its not possible to get drunk on new wine since its grape juice?

IF ONLY you guys were multilingual you would figure this out very fast. In my native translations there is no misunderstanding whatsoever, there is none in the english as well until someone tells you new wine doesnt mean what it says.

Here we have a classic case of: 21st century Christians who are more righteous than Jesus Himself.

The unfortunate reality is: Jews, including Jesus, drank wine, both in the OLD and in the NEW testament. God even tells them in the Old Testament to spend money on whatever they want, whether it be this or that or...... WINE or STRONG DRINK.
Now, if wine is grape juice, what is the STRONG DRINK? Is strong drink then apple juice with some extra kick in it?

Study a little on LUST From what I understand in the BIBLE, IF we obey the lust we have, It is called SIN
That is God's command for the tithe. What I posted is contained in a command. So we don't get to back track on God and say no.
Lusteth is per the king james bible, other versions say desire.

The irony here is that wine was used in communion until in "1869, Welch invented a method of pasteurizing grape juice so that fermentation was stopped, and the drink was non-alcoholic. He persuaded local churches to adopt this non-alcoholic wine for communion services, calling it "Dr. Welch's Unfermented Wine."

You nailed it! That is exactly what happened, this "debate" didn't exist until 1869. The technology wasnt even there as you mentioned!

I think this also had something to do with the prohibition era. It only makes sense, the abuse of alcohol has caused lots of problems throughout world history and has broken up countless families and destroyed lives. It was a logical thing to do, to eliminate it in all its forms. Especially as former alcoholics turn to Christ, which happened a lot during the hayday of the salvation army.

Believe it or not, im ALL FOR IT. No problems with not drinking alcohol whatsoever, I dont drink alcohol AT ALL. With all that being said you are probably wondering, well why are you on my side MR? I'll tell you why mr Blackpowderduelist, its cause I just dont see the "0 tolerance" of alcohol in the Bible. I wish it was there, but its not, and im not gonna let my personal preferences cause me to read into the bible something that just aint there. It is what it is.

Proverbs 20:1 Wine [is] a mocker, strong drink [is] raging: and whosoever is deceived thereby is not wise.
1. Who do you think that this is saying that it is A Mocker Of ???
I Think it GOD, But who Do you SAY it is ???
If you can receive it, He is saying that we are not wise to drink it, And HE is Very wise, So that tells me that he didn't drink
wine with Alcohol in it, and HE also says that we are deceived if we drink it,

Proverbs 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
23:30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine. 23:29 Who hath woe? who hath sorrow? who hath contentions? who hath babbling? who hath wounds without cause? who hath redness of eyes?
23:30 They that tarry long at the wine; they that go to seek mixed wine.
2. Here He is talking about when it's turn to alcohol,
proverbs 23:31 Look not thou upon the wine when it is red, when it giveth his colour in the cup, [when] it moveth itself aright.
23:32 At the last it biteth like a serpent, and stingeth like an adder.
He tells US not even look at it, If JESUS TELLS us not to look at it, JESUS wouldn't LOOK or He sure would not drink it,

Deu 29:6 Ye have not eaten bread, neither have ye drunk wine or strong drink: that ye might know that I [am] the LORD your God.

Proverbs 4:17 For they eat the bread of wickedness, and drink the wine of violence.
Proverbs 31:4 [It is] not for kings, O Lemuel, [it is] not for kings to drink wine; nor for princes strong drink:
31:5 Lest they drink, and forget the law, and pervert the judgment of any of the afflicted.

So you're telling me that for you, truth outweighs personal preference. On that I agree with you, I wish more people would join us in that camp.

I am going to be honest with you though. I myself enjoy a glass of wine or beer, and dare I say it, even a dram of good whiskey on occasion. I'll even smoke a cigar if I'm feeling particularly celebratory.
Well, I suppose I'll be bludgeoned to death now.

Ps, my church uses wine in the communion.

The grape juice is in verse 4. NOTHING that is made of the vine tree. Clear
Ha, good one. Out of all the things listed, regular grape juice is not mentioned specifically? What is the difference between wine and strong drink?

When you distill wine you get brandy. That's the difference between wine and strong drink. To make strong drink they simply distilled the wine.

Do you not know that all the priest will not be Saved,
Romans 7:7 What shall we say then? [is] the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

1 COR 10:6 Now these things were our examples, to the intent we should not lust after evil things, as they also lusted.
Galations 5:16 [This] I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

1 Thess 4:5 Not in the lust of concupiscence, even as the Gentiles which know not God: 1 Thess

James 1:14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.
1:15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

2 PETER 1:4 Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.

2 PETRE 2:10 But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government.

1 John Presumptuous [are they], selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.

Because they don't accept what God has said. Which is what you are doing, rejecting what God's word says.

What are you saying? You don't like me? That's ok, you can join the rest that don't. I stand on God's word whether I like it or not. God's word trumps my preferences.

No bludgeoning from me. Even though I chose not to drink anymore I am, sadly in fact, a nicotine addict.

Matthew 15:11 Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man.
But drinking makes it easier for Satan to deceive A person,
Only if you drink to much

its not a sin to drink, to say it is is a sin itself because it is a lie
