You keep falsely accusing of "keeping works for salvation", using this as an excuse to speak against works after salvation. Your accusations are speaking false against your neighbor, disobeying the way God has appointed our world to work best.
We are not saved by works for or after salvation. From beginning "have been" saved through faith (Ephesians 2:8) to end "receiving the end of your faith--the salvation of your souls" (1 Peter 1:9) salvation is by grace through faith and is not by works. I have made no false accusations and
I do not speak against works when put in their proper place. Saved by grace through faith, not works, created in Christ Jesus FOR good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
*We are saved FOR good works and NOT BY good works.*
Faith Is to OBEY. Not just the Sabbath, But ALL of GOD's Commandments And HIS HOLY WORD...
If faith "is" to obey, then this means faith "is" obedience/works and in that case, salvation would be by works according to his logic. So no false accusation from me.
This is not SO, if that was true Satan has far more faith then we DO, and GOD would haft to save Satan to. It is A faith that WORKS that will GET US SAVED,
If faith "is" to obey ALL of God's commandments according to bud62, then how can Satan have far more faith then we do, since he does not obey all of God's commandments? The kind of faith that saves results in producing works, yet we are still
saved through faith and not by works. (Ephesians 2:8,9) In James 2:19, we see that the demons believe "mental assent" that "there is one God," but they
do not believe in/have faith in/trust in/reliance in Jesus Christ for salvation. In other words, they
do not believe on the Lord Jesus Christ (Acts 16:31)
and are not saved. Their trust and reliance is in Satan, as demonstrated by their rebellion in heaven and continuous evil works.
All you haft to do to see this is look at Abraham GOD said it Abraham done it. Abraham KEPT GOD'S COMMANDMENTS around 400 years before Moses was Born, And believe they kept them if they wanted to be SAVED
Straight from the horses mouth - "kept God's commandments if they wanted to be saved." Salvation based on keeping God's commandments, which is salvation by works. Romans 4:2-6 negates that theory: For if Abraham was justified by works, he has something to boast about, but not before God. 3 For what does the Scripture say? “Abraham
believed God, and it (faith, not works) was
accounted to him for righteousness.” 4 Now to him who works, the wages are not counted as grace but as debt. 5 But to him who does not work but
believes on Him who justifies the ungodly,
his faith is accounted for righteousness, 6 just as David also describes the blessedness of the man to whom
God imputes righteousness apart from works.
You can call it anything you want, BUT THE BIBLE SAYS that it is our duty to keep HIS Commandments, Just like I believe that it is A man's Duty to teach his children up right, And I don't count that as work ether...
bud62 fails to grasp that keeping God's commandments is works. He seems to have a problem identifying what works are and he also defines faith "as" obedience, which is works. What a mess! Believers "keep" (Greek word "tereo" - guard, observe, watch over) His commandments (1 John 2:3) which does not mean sinless, perfect obedience to the 10 commandments under the law and it also does not mean that we are saved based on the merits of perfectly obeying His commandments.
I previously quoted a statement that includes the 10 commandments as a part of the gospel and resulted in salvation by grace plus law, faith plus works from a former member of CC who happens to be SDA and bud62 agreed with that statement. So there have been no false accusations from me against my neighbor. It's obvious for believers to see that bud62 is teaching "works salvation" and he has been called out on it multiple times.
