In forums such as these, all caps is considered yelling and therefore rude. You have been informed of this multiple times, and asked to cease and desist by quite a few people at various times, but you ignore such requests. There is zero reason to type in all caps. There is no emphasis on anything when pretty much your whole post is such abuse. It simply shows lack of consideraion/poor character on your part.I USE IT FOR emphasis

It does not say, however, that that is the only reason they did not eat of the Tree of Life.I think THIS TELLS YOU WHAT I SAID,
GEN 3:22 And the LORD God said, Behold, the man is become as one of us, to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:
3:23 Therefore the LORD God sent him forth from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken.
3:24 So he drove out the man; and he placed at the east of the garden of Eden Cherubims, and a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life.
To me that is what it's saying, GOD let them eat of it till they SINNED, So i think the SCRIPTURES say it for it's selfIt does not say, however, that that is the only reason they did not eat of the Tree of Life.
You really shouldn't add to what Scripture says.
More drivelYou are FORGETTING THAT WHEN YESUAH'S SHEEP GO'S ASTRAY THAT YESUAH GO AND SEEKS THEM OUT, WANTING TO BRING THEM BACK TO REPENTENCE, AND if THEY WILL NOT REPENT AGAIN, WITH YESUAH DRAWING TMEM, YES THEY WILL BE LOST . JUST LIKE IN THE OLD TESTAMENT, EVERT TIME THEY SINNED THEY HAD TO GO BACK TO THE HIGH PRIEST, To get their NEW SINS COVERED AGAIN, YESUAH IS OUR HIGH PREIST NOW, AND EVERY TIME WE SIN WILLFULLY, WE HAFT TO GO TO YESUAH AND REPENT OF THOSE NEW SINS AND LET YESUAH COVER THOSE SINS TO, BUT most DOES not truly REPENT, TRYING TO HOLD ON TO SOME OF THEIR SINS, MEANING THAT THEY HAVE NOT REPENTED FULLY AND TRUTHFULLY AND they AND THE ones that FALL AND DON'T REPENT AND GET THE BOOD APPLIED TO THEIR NEW SINS WILL BE LOST, AS THIS SCRIPTURE AND A LOT OF OTHERS SCRIPTURES TELLS US THE SAME THING.
attHEW 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.More drivel![]()
They did not eat of the Tree of Life at all.To me that is what it's saying, GOD let them eat of it till they SINNED, So i think the SCRIPTURES say it for it's self
Where’s attHEW 15:9?attHEW 15:9 But in vain they do worship me, teaching [for] doctrines the commandments of men.
They did not eat of the Tree of Life at all.[/QUO
I do think you are wrong,
Of course you do, and you refuse to admit that you are wrong also, for nowhere does it say they ate of it, nor does it say the only reason they did not eat of it was because God banished them from the garden, but it does say, lest us they also eat of it. They were not born again Spiritually without it... which is how we attain to life ever after. They chose death over life, in following their self will.I do think you are wrong,
Well that is the only thing that makes any sinceOf course you do, and you refuse to admit that you are wrong also, for nowhere does it say they ate of it, nor does it say the only reason they did not eat of it was because God banished them from the garden, but it does say, lest us they also eat of it. They were not born again Spiritually without it... which is how we attain to life ever after. They chose death over life, in following their self will.
IT would be wrong of me to say I was Wrong, it is what the WORD OF GOD teaches, why would I say I'M wrong, That would be lying, I will stick with what the BIBLE teaches, I would rather be hot then lukewarm, the BIBLE teaches us that to love GOD we hatf to keep HIS COMMANDMENTS,Of course you do, and you refuse to admit that you are wrong also, for nowhere does it say they ate of it, nor does it say the only reason they did not eat of it was because God banished them from the garden, but it does say, lest us they also eat of it. They were not born again Spiritually without it... which is how we attain to life ever after. They chose death over life, in following their self will.
Right from the start your bias and arrogance is really showing.Wow!!I cannot believe you would call what you just posted "in context" not even close
Of course Paul did not abuse his power to get money or monetary means. He preferred death over having anyone think he ministered with a financial motive. In the first part of chapter 9 Paul is discussing his ability to recieve monetary means from the people because he was an apostle or minister
If we have sown unto you spiritual things, is it a great thing if we shall reap your carnal things?
1 Corinthians 9:11 KJV
But Paul goes on to say that he hadn't used this power (he hadn't been recieved anything from them)
Do ye not know that they which minister about holy things live of the things of the temple? and they which wait at the altar are partakers with the altar? Even so hath the Lord ordained that they which preach the gospel should live of the gospel. But I have used none of these things: neither have I written these things, that it should be so done unto me: for it were better for me to die, than that any man should make my glorying void.
1 Corinthians 9:13-15
He didn't want to give anyone the ability to say that he abused his power to get money or monetary means
For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me.
1 Corinthians 9:17 KJV
He said I could easily except monetary means from you and have my reward. BUT HE DIDNT
You have a poor attitude, which will get you nowhere with me.NEXT VERSE....YOU BUTCHERED
What is my reward then?
Though Paul's reward here in regards to preaching the gospel was to make the gospel without charge as to not abuse his authority in the gospel, he is ultimately seeking to not be disqualified for the prize (vs. 27) and not disqualified for the gift of eternal life. A prize is not a gift, as I already explained, so Paul was not worried about losing his salvation. Prize (brabeion) - the prize awarded to a victor, the reward (recognition) that follows triumph.Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel.
1 Corinthians 9:18 KJV
Since I don't recieve the reward of monetary means from you "WHAT IS MY REWARD?"
His reward was to be able to preach the gospel without charge
NOTHING ABOUT REWARDS IN HEAVEN ETC
Great attitude. In your quest to put this chapter "in context" (which is laughable) I noticed you didn't mention the next verse:
In an Olympic race, all run in the race, but only one receives a gold medal. That does not mean that those who do not receive a gold medal are disqualified from the Olympics. So runners in the Olympics may receive a corruptible crown, but believers may receive an incorruptible crown and the Bible mentions 5 different crowns. The crown of righteousness, the crown of rejoicing, the crown of glory, the crown of life and the incorruptible crown. (On the head of Jesus were said to be "many crowns" in Revelation 19:12.Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.
1 Corinthians 9:24-25 KJV
So "run to obtain" but out of ALL who run ONLY ONE receives the prize. Do we work for and earn the free gift of eternal life or the prize? This is not talking about running to come in first place and winning
Paul just said "run to obtain"
Who said anything about a reward system for reprobates? Those who are disqualified for the prize do not receive the prize, which is not a free gift.No mention here of a reward system for reprobates as you and others have suggested
Of course he did as all genuine believers keep the faith. Paul does not seem to indicate any insecurity about his position - Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that Day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing. (2 Timothy 4:8)We run to recieve an incorruptible crown....Paul would say this again to Timothy "I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith...."
It's actually you who is absolutely wrong with Paul's concerns about losing salvation. We don't even find the specific words "lose or lost salvation" in the Bible. So you are absolutely wrong with Paul's concerns about becoming a reprobate
Other translations say disqualified/disqualified for the prize.I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.
1 Corinthians 9:26-27 KJV
Still doesn't mean a loss of salvation in 1 Corinthians 9:27.Strong's Exhaustive Concordance
castaway, rejected, reprobate.
From a (as a negative particle) and dokimos; unapproved, i.e. Rejected; by implication, worthless (literally or morally) -- castaway, rejected, reprobate.
