It is sad when they puff themselves up as obeying Gods law. Yet are incapable of explaining what that looks like

Yes,it was not called sabbath until it was commanded in the law,

but I do believe we should rest one day, as God rested as our example we should rest,

but it’s not the legalistic form of rest being promoted

My wife and I are trying to keep the Sabbath for the last year now, not because I want my ticket punched for the train to heaven but I am trying to be obedient.

2Jn_1:6 And this is love, that we walk after his commandments. This is the commandment, That, as ye have heard from the beginning, ye should walk in it.

I can't even begin to judge you or anybody for not keeping the Sabbath because I am guilty of it. This past Saturday without thinking I was buying some things and afterwards I had to sit down and say... whoops... focus.

I do believe that Sabbath keeping is between the individual and Abba Father. The rest of the 9 was a lot easier for me to associate with.

The Bible teach us what to do, but for one I try not to buy and sell anymore, and also I do not work (my daily work that earns me money) on the Sabbath anymore.

It is interesting how the 4th commandment has the most information of what we should do and why we should do it. I always found it fascinating, but yet it is the commandment that is being argued more than any of the other 9 because the rest automatically forms part of our moral being because of the way we are raised.

Someone in this thread said that the commandments are engraved in stone and therefore indelible. Where are the stones?

The stones were kept in the Arc of the Covenant and YHVH wrote on them with His own finger.

Today the commandments are kept in our hearts and that is why you will know it is morally wrong to murder, steal and fornicate. Some of the commandments, like blasphemy is sugar coated by the world and we have a generation with no fear and respect for their Creator.

So because I have the Holy Spirit who causes me to love I have no need of these commandments.

The only thing that is debatable out of the 10 commandments is the 4th commandment. The rest is moral law, even in our modern age... Unless you are an atheist or an idol worshipper then you might look at 6 or 7.

My keeping the Sabbath has got nothing to do with me "earning" my salvation. I am obedient to God and it is between me and Him. If I falter I don't repent to CC's members :) I discuss it with Abba Father Himself ;)

The Sunday worshippers seem to have a log in their eyes, and that log makes them make all kind of false accusations.

When God established a Sabbath, it was to have both a literal and spiritual rest. We can rest in Christ for He takes care of all our sins, and we are told to also rest from our labors. So that is scripture, not to be used to accuse, judge, and blame.
