I believe in importance of doctrine in early walk as a disciple is getting established. You learn who God is, how to discern His voice.
I don't need to study doctrines at this point, I went through this "school" as I asked God and read the Bible, to help me with guidance about this or that. It's plain as day when you learn His voice, what is right and what is wrong. I know God. Doesn't mean I stopped reading the Bible, because I do read it, but to get strengthened.
What you said all sounds nice, but in practice, what I see is this whole thing turns into something else.
For Christians, on a large scale, it's all about "a belief system" and conversely it's not about Jesus any more. Christianity was early on called "the Way" but slowly effectively became a dogma driven religion like any other, watered down to some set of beliefs which are also often just opinions, you are saved if you believe "correct beliefs". Imo, this stinks and is not the original message of the Gospel. Tell me how is that different from other religions. It's a slight twist from the original truth, just that small twist that satan always does. I really can't stand for this in good conscience.
What we believe has everything to do with being a Christian. We are told to be of ONE mind (the mind of Christ) and there aer to be NO divisions among us. 1 Cor 1: 1-2

There is no way a person can read through a bible and think they know it all. If you "hear" God's voice it better say what is already IN THE WORD for the THREE are ONE in purpose.

See you drove it back again it's all about "the belief system" first, not about Jesus and relationship with Him first. Thanks for proving my point.
I never said I knew it all. I said I know Jesus' voice. Never said that His voice contradicted the Bible either.

hay,
I've got two out of three, oh, it's one out of three because
I've always been a 'curly-head', but when I turned gray/white,
it became straight! thankfully I still have some body/fluff to it...
when I was younger, I actually spent about (8)yrs.
trying to straighten my hair, with 'big-curlers' and tape -
good thing that I didn't have all of today's chems/straighteners
and curling irons, cause I'd probably be 'bald', which many that
use them will become, if they don't stop - thankfully I didn't get
into dying my hair, which will for many eventually make their hair
to greatly thin and even fall out...
when I was in my teens, I can remember all of the funny stuff that
was aimed at 'older-women' who used that 'pink rinse', the media/comics,
made such a mockery of them, my grandmother was a constant user
of that popular product!
my generation had our weird stuff that we did way back when, but compared
to today's ways, we were just babes that they took off from...

when I look at adults today, young or older and they have 'colored' their hair
'pink-purple-blue', black, etc. and of course the 'smokers/vapers', my heart aches to
the core and often tears follow...
Grey hair is a sign of blessing 🤗. Sadly many in today’s world do not live long enough to acquire it, or the wisdom and maturity that “should” come with it.

You'll have an eternity to slowly regret this one
Except, of course, if it's designed to be eternally flawless like in a commercial, no frizz and non tangling... Mine is wavy/curly mix and it's a mess.
Is that you singing ps 1 in the bless the rain?
