If you would actually read what she wrote you would see that she is expressing a need for me to experience a biblically false second blessing. That is heresy which is taught by apostacy.

No matter how many times you explain an error it will never become truth. The fruit of a corrupted gospel can only be corrupt.

For the cause of Christ
Roger
you did not explain the so-called " Apostacy" or heresy. That makes you untruthful and making false claims which is far worst than being opinionated. You lack the ability to explain your point. So you attack, mainly women for some odd reason, why?

Yeah.. is the 12/120/3000 were still around we would be asked "have you received the holy Spirit since you believed"?

Then we believe John 3:16 but what about Luke 11:13? Its as if John 3:16 IS for today but.. Luke 11:13? Even Jesus did what Luke 11:13 says. What did Jesus ask of the Father for the 120?

We know the 12/120 were all saved when Jesus went up yes? So my guess is some seem to believe what happen to the 120.. ooh not just the 12 odd. Was something different? Wow how LUCKY for the 108... for just being there huh.

If it never happen to me I would be say.. a I already have the holy Spirit.. a truth yet not. One night they asked me.. I said yes. They read only what the word of God says.. asked me again and I said yes. They prayed then just stopped. Said "thats it you got it". Had no clue.. nothing happened.. I got up went to sit down and BAM! Tongues just came out. So.. was there a difference? HOLY JESUS YES!

In my life I have found I see so many wonders from our Father.. How? Well I just take Him at His word. If I start asking man (which at times is wise).. man I get more confused. Proof? OSAS or you can lose your salvation? How about the GIFTS? Shall I go on? Luke 11:13 Jesus or GOD said it so.. WHY would I question GOD? He said ASK so I asked.. and HE so far has ALWAYS kept His word.

For others it seems its about them being right
Hello @Blade

Excellent post! I love to hear people's testimonies of when they received the baptism with the Holy Spirit. Thanks for sharing yours!(y)

For those that haven't experienced the baptism with the Holy Spirit, I totally understand their frustration and confusion and even anger towards us when we talk about it....... I'm very glad that @KelbyofGod stepped out to encourage all believers to ask God for the Baptism with the Holy Spirit!(y)

Your opinion not validated in Gods word.

"Correction.......you THINK I'm teaching complete lollipop nonsense but, I am NOT. " post# 151

Why did she say this? I looked and I can not find one post by Lolipop on this thread.

Yet Lafftur felt the need from the comments by Notuptome to defend herself from the comments of a person who has not even posted on this thread.

I will tell you. Notuptome brought into this thread his bias from other threads for the purpose to attack Lafftur. It doesn't matter that she will not care as a Good sister she is, no, but it does matter to the kind of things I have been saying to those who do such things.

NOtuptome, lollipop is not here so why are you attacking Laffur when in this thread I do not see any so-called Heresies, false teaching, error, or apostasy. ? Which you state in this Thread?

There is none. YOU are just a troll who enters thread for the purpose to attack those with who you disagree. Now DWR and you can look through this thread and prove me wrong I will wait.

start with:
  1. finding lollipop in this thread
  2. find the apostasy in this thread
  3. prove the so-called nonsense of Lafftur in this thread

Hi @CS1 - the "lollipop" is NOT a poster but how @notuptome described what I was posting about the Sealing, Baptism and Filling with the Holy Spirit - in post #148.

Sorry for the confusion. :giggle::love:

You are teaching complete nonsense. I was baptized in the Holy Spirit the instant I believed into Christ. I have been filled with the Holy Spirit more times than I can count. None of my blessing in the Lord over the years has been anything like the lollipop nonsense you espouse.

Scripturally speaking being filled with the Spirit is being filled with the Word of God. This evidence is not readily apparent in what you write.

I'm not angry nor offended with @notuptome - we're all at different places in our maturing in Christ and I give him grace.(y)

Hey notuotome better heed the warning to go.
After all CS1 is a moderator.

I really find it sad that a rep of this site would use such language toward those who post things he does not like.
I find it sadder that a person who says they are over 70 years old does not have the life smarts to stay out of disagreements between two other people

you can't make this stuff up o_O

I know you're not angry nor offended. the point is this person had a preconceived opinion about your post that was attacked. To suggest one is a " Betrayer of the faith" is not a claim I would even use to him. But these dog whistles he and other use to intimidate and bully is unacceptable. Everyone has said thing in error mistakenly except Notuptome he will never admit he was even taught or ever corrected. But he is very fast to jump on those who he disagree with and lambast those who prove him wrong

This message is for ALL,

Satan tries really hard to make it sound like an insult rather than an exhortation when someone is advised that they still need to receive the Holy Ghost. ESPECIALLY if that person has faith.

It can be clearly stated that Peter, James and John were even made APOSTLES before they received the Holy Ghost! John 7:39 (But this spake he of the Spirit, which they that believe on him should receive: for the Holy Ghost was not yet given; because that Jesus was not yet glorified.)
  • Are we INSULTING them by saying they still needed to receive the Holy Ghost? Absolutely not.
  • Are we claiming they don't have faith in God? No, it's quite easy to see that they believed and trusted God and Jesus.
  • Are we saying the promise of the Holy Ghost isn't for them? Again, Absolutely not.
  • We are just saying that people need to seek until they find, knock until it is opened, ask until they receive...and not give up along the way. We are encouraging them to CONTINUE until they receive all that God has PROMISED them...(including a place in heaven).
  • We see people all over who have heard of Jesus or have a bible or have learned how to pray and recieve things (which means they have FAITH) and yet haven't even heard that they need to receive the Holy Ghost. Paul ran into a group like that in Acts 19. The bible calls them disciples. Paul acknowledged their belief. Yet they hadn't been told that they needed the Holy Ghost. They were thankfully able to receive this without taking offense...internalized the additional truth...were baptized to get it right...and eventually (not immediately) ACTUALLY RECEIVED the Holy Ghost, which didn't ACTUALLY HAPPEN until Paul laid his hands on them. That is a beautiful account because they could have taken offense instead (as Satan works hard to make happen today).
To say that someone still needs to receive the Holy Ghost isn't an insult. It's a statement that we understand that God has more for them and we're believing that they are worthy to receive it... if they TARRY until they are endued with power "For ye shall receive POWER after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you". and "For the kingdom of God is not in word, but in POWER".

Too many have much doctrine and words....but no power... and they fulfil the scripture regarding those who are "having a form of godliness, but denying the power".

If you know you have faith, and you know you believe in Jesus, and you know you love God, but also know you don't really have much power, and especially if you know that you've never "spake with new tongues as the spirit gave them utterance"...you probably need to seek God until he baptizes you with the same Holy Ghost that he gave on the day of Pentecost and promised "unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call".

As I've said to others I now say to ALL... I wish you well on your journey.

Love in Jesus,
Kelby
The bible is clear on how to deal with others who doubt

22 And refute [so as to] convict some who dispute with you, and on some have mercy who waver and doubt.

But intent is relevant. And typically when people make such statements it's With the intent to be an insult.
I was living in the UK when the Charismatic Renewal was happening. People of all persuasions were being filled with the Holy Spirit whereas before that he was just someone they talked about. He became a real person to them and of course, they were happy to know him in a tangible way.

I remember on more than one occasion, one of the newcomers to the experience couldn't hide their enthusiasm and when questioned about it, were full of joy.

The person asking usually said, So you think you're better than us because this has happened to you?" The person sharing their experience had said no such thing or gave no indication that is what they thought.

The fact is whenever there is a move of God of any kind, there will always be some who cast aspersions on it.

I think it depends on the person if they are ready for more.
some people are hungry, its like telling a person they need to read more of the Bible, they will only be insulted if they think theyve read it already. The thing is you dont just read the Bible once.

or telling someone to eat more, but then not even offering them any food. Be generous!

I know some who read the kiddie version of the Bible and never actually read the real thing. So there's that too, plus some who think reading the Bible meant looking at the pictures, or just hearing what everyone else said about it.

You got to be mindful because some people actually do not have their own copies of the Bible. And if they dont, you need to give them one if they ask. Dont begrduge them.

With the Holy spirit its the gift that keeps on giving.
The only thing Jesus warns about is not to give what is holy to the dogs, for they will turn and bite you.

A person who doesnt appreciate a gift and never values it is not a good recipient. You need to be prepared for that, just as people mocked those that gathered in the upper room for being drunk on pentecost.

so it is with giving out random copies of the Bible to just anyone, it will be worthless to someone who doesnt have the desire to read it.

another thing is these days many people need to wait for ages, maybe even YEARS to be baptised, simply cos church leaders cant be bothered to fill up their baptising pool with water. This actually happens in a few churches, like they just expect everyone that attends to be be already baptised. If this is how they are with water baptism then what are they like with the holy spirit. Do many churches check on peoples spirit levels? I dont know if they truly do, some seem to only check on how loud the band is is during worship.
Its often diffucult for new believers to come to faith because they then need to navigate the whole 'well which church do I go to out of the 20 different ones in my town?!' Those whove already been raised in church and go with their families for years already just need to confirm that they are gonna stay there.

I stand in opposition to heresy. The teaching of a second blessing and tongues is not biblical and is heresy. It does not matter if you as a moderator or some other poster promotes the teaching it is still heresy by biblical examination.

Those who ignore the severity of God toward those things that displease God demonstrate a religion that lacks Spiritual gravity. These things are an offense to the purity and holiness of God.

Those who shun the Light will find the Light offensive. John 3:18-21.

I do not attack posters but God reproves false doctrine. Walking in the Spirit is walking in the Word of God it is not some mythical euphoric emotional state. I do not require that everyone have the same experience as I have had but I do rightfully expect to see the bible reflected in the experiences they claim especially with regard to salvation. Genuine biblical conversion produces biblical fruit and biblical conduct in the converts.

1 John 4

13 This is how we know that we live in him and he in us: He has given us of his Spirit.

14 And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent his Son to be the Savior of the world.

15 If anyone acknowledges that Jesus is the Son of God, God lives in them and they in God.

16 And so we know and rely on the love God has for us.
God is love. Whoever lives in love lives in God, and God in them.

17 This is how love is made complete among us so that we will have confidence on the day of judgment: In this world we are like Jesus.

18 There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.

Matthew 7

13 Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat:

14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

Anderson New Testament
But he turned about, and, looking on his disciples, rebuked Peter, saying: Get behind me, adversary: for you are not thinking of the things of God, but of the things of men.

Bible in Basic English
But he, turning about, and seeing his disciples, said sharply to Peter, Get out of my way, Satan: for your mind is not on the things of God, but on the things of men.

Common New Testament
But when he had turned around and looked at his disciples, he rebuked Peter, and said, "Get behind me, Satan! For you are not mindful of the things of God, but the things of men."

Daniel Mace New Testament
but Jesus return'd, and looking upon his disciples, he gave Peter this rebuke, be gone, thou adversary, your views are all worldly, regardless of what is divine.

34 And when he had called the people unto him with his disciples also, he said unto them, Whosoever will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me. 35 For whosoever will save his life shall lose it; but whosoever shall lose his life for my sake and the gospel's, the same shall save it.

Come on! Your sister in Christ is just encouraging you to go higher... there’s MORE God has for you!

Remember, God says...”My Ways are HIGHER than yours....Come up hither!”

Romans 8

1 There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 2 For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus hath made me free from the law of sin and death. 3 For what the law could not do, in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, and for sin, condemned sin in the flesh: 4 That the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. 10 And if Christ be in you, the body is dead because of sin; but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. 11 But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.
12 Therefore, brethren, we are debtors, not to the flesh, to live after the flesh. 13 For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live. 14 For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God. 15 For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father. 16 The Spirit itself beareth witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God: 17 And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.

YOU USE the word of God to attack those that disagree with you. You are correct, it does not matter if one is moderator. However, the Gifts of the Holy Spirit are for today, Yet you do the very thing you say other are doing. You used 1 Corinthians chapter 13:8-13 to prove that Tongues have stopped. Yet it doesn't say that at all. YOU have created a "Heresy" that you say other have. That makes you false. Only if you could show us where in the Bible it states " Tongues are not for today". You can't but because other have received from God something you have not or you have suffered from those who claim to have a gift and foolishly used it or offended you, you see that as all. You are wrong. Yet you have claimed Never to have been corrected in the word of God which makes you Prideful. You are a troll. You look at any post on this topic you like a troll does interject your false narrative to in some Joan of Ark way of thinking "I'm doing the word of God". Wrong again. You are a troll.
