2 Timothy 2
22 Flee also youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.
23 But foolish and unlearned questions avoid, knowing that they do gender strifes.
24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,
25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;
There is a right way to disagree and a wrong way. May we in all humility consider others higher than ourselves and not judge the wheat and the chaff before the time, least we call our brother an unbeliever (a fool) by mistake, risking calling one who has the spirit of God, a child of the devil. What a horrible
Thought. May we be slow to Speak and quick to Listen, think the best of others, and correct Gently and Lovingly if we feel it is right to. Where we can, let us not argue over anything but speak our understanding of scripture from a calm and caring heart and leave God to do the judging and convicting. Haven’t we all learned we were wrong about somethings we were once zealously believing? And the lessons and correction will never stop if we are waking with God. We do not have all knowledge and we do not help anyone by being offended or being offensive. We can state our understanding in a way that doesn’t attack anyone and leave the rest to God.
