I finally understood as I searched out what it meant .Think Peter . Thomas . The bereans .
Peter and Thomas had been instructed by the OT and probably John Baptist. The Bereans, at least some of them, had been instructed by the OT too.

Were all sinners . For ALL have sinned AND come short of the Glory of God . Two part problem .

Paul in Corinthians is contrasting man's wisdom v Gods wisdom. If a person seeks answers in man's wisdom, God's wisdom will be foolishness to him . The remedy is God's wisdom. To believe that . This is also mainly aimed at the carnal Christians at corinth ..
Why did you feel inclined to search it out? I mean, who believes in the foolishness of the cross, if not those who are being saved.

Your a slave to what you loveDid you love sin before you believed?
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; Please specifically tell me what Romans 10:9-10 tells us to do.
The issue with your questions is your presumptions and bias is loaded in your question.Ok, so who believes the foolishness of the cross? It’s highly counterintuitive to the natural mind, is it not?
What evidence has been presented to you that the Gospel is true?
I have the greatest evidence that the Gospel is true possible.
Your a slave to what you love
Being a slave, does not mean a slave cannot realise his bondage .And Jesus said everyone who serves sin is a slave to sin. I was a big time slave to sin, but Jesus changed it all, and it was all Him and will be all Him, from beginning to end. Phil. 1:6
8But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach;
9That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
10For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
11For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed.
12For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him.
13For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14¶How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
16But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Esaias saith, Lord, who hath believed our report?
17So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.
Being a slave, does not mean a slave cannot realise his bondage .
No not if he's in chains . But he can cry out for help and call out to be freed . Jesus then breaks those chains. I feel a song coming on lol .Yes. A slave may realize his bondage, but can he free himself?

Again Some people refuse to believe the truth so as to be saved . Not Gods fault. No excuse . Rom 1Does a slave who loves His master want to be free?
Again Some people refuse to believe the truth so as to be saved . Not Gods fault. No excuse . Rom 1
They were unable to believe because they were not learning of the Father . There's no point in God being amazed and disappointed at their rejection and unbelief if they were unable to do so .
We believe . This pleases God . 1 cor 1.21
See what Calvinsm teaches ( And Arminians) is that we cannot even believe or respond positively to God's revelation unless he is partially or fully regenerated first . This , whilst sounds logical and plausible and if you hand pick some verses ,squint your eyes a certain way ,you can begin to start seeing this concept. Its like one of those pictures where you stare at and its either a rabbit or a duck, depending on which you see first. Its hard to then unsee the duck and find the rabbit once you now see the duck. The truth is the rabbit .Does a slave who loves his master desire to be free? And will one who has no such desire call upon Jesus?
