in Calvinism I can understand it ,because God only sends irresistible Awakenkng dust on the frozen chosen . But if you don't believe in that , what purpose does your version of ' choosing ' before we existed do or serve ?

Because I believe what the Bible plainly states even when it SEEMS to come into conflict with other things I believe.

When two things are equally stated in scripture, I do not line them up against each other for combat. I just recognize that there is something there that seems contradictory, yet the two are fully compatible in God’s knowledge.

If it suits God, it suits me. And it’s what is plainly stated in Ephesians 1:5.

So no reason ? That explains why your struggling to account for it . Where as from our vantage there is purpose and reason for Predestination and Election . We are explaining why Paul is saying what he is saying . There is something Paul wants them to know and its not arbitrary .Being told you are predestined to the Adoption is the basis for eternal security. The Holy Spirit guarantee s this by the sealing until the day of redemption. There is no assurance ultimately outside of this.

Salvation is a response to faith/belief. God calls everyone so your point does not hold to anything I have stated.

Neither you nor I can draw a hard line in the sand of where the person responds to the work of the Holy Spirit in the world.

But one thing for sure .....God does not believe for us.

Conviction of the Holy Spirit is necessary for salvation, but occurs to sinners alike, regardless of consequent faith or unbelief. It is not irresistible or unconditionally selective. (Jn. 16:7-11)

If you can’t understand God’s mind or His purposes before Genesis 1:1, what are you doing telling us that He “decreed” certain things before Genesis 1:1?

Since salvation is broader than justification, it would be better to say that justification is by grace through faith (Rom 5:1). Faith would be meaningless unless God's grace brought salvation to mankind (Tit 2:11). And God's grace was made possible by the finished work of Christ.

all of you people and your war against Calvin have you totally blind to what anyone says you attack anyone who even in your view hints if any type of possible Calvinistic believe

It’s good though. God to know I put you on ignore for good reasons. One of your buddies had me hope you had changed. But I see you have not
