Hello all! This is so refreshing to see.....well, can't, lol. Love that ignore option!

Which is not necessarily a bad thing. However there are some places where there should have been either no break, or the break should have been at a different verse. On balance, this is a minor issue, since Bible memorization was greatly helped with chapters and verse. They forget the origional autographs had no verse separations, mankind seperated the letters into chapter/verse form
Did you ever become a priest?i will just say again, I can testify that indeed some people are chosen before they are even born. My testimony is long but I will say at the age of ten years old, I was thinking about what I wanted to be when I grew up, the first word that entered my head was priest. After that it felt like an electric current ran through me. From that moment onwards life was not the same. So yes, people are ordained and chosen before they were even born. Why it has taken 38 pages so far to debate that is beyond me.
Your missing the point . RomAre you saved? Because Romans 5:10 mentions a future aspect of salvation just like Romans 8 mentions a future aspect of adoption.
Verse 5 is connected to verse four and having predestinated is an aorist participle and again it is connected to verse 4 which days we were chosen in Him.
I’m not interpreting it, Hoss, I’m just quoting the verse. Maybe since I’m accurately quoting it, and you think I’m interpreting it, maybe you’re the one who’s interpreting it and dont realize it.
So not chosen to be saved before you were born ?The through is referring to salvation, not election. We are saved through the sanctification of the Spirit and faith.
It says He chose us in Him. What translation are you using, Hoss?
I didn’t say He chose us to be in Christ. You’re putting words in my mouth.
The text says He chose us in Christ before the foundation of the world.
Wow another one...Did you ever become a priest?
Ugh, what the heck? Sorry to see you have been banned![]()

Why do you always leave out “according as”? Those two words point back to verse three.
Amen a statement of what we have including the seal of the spirit all based on predestination and faithI’m a scripture guy. I don’t add or take away from scripture. Therefore I say only what scripture says.
Scripture does not say chosen and predestinated after you believe. Nowhere
Nor does it say in Ephesians chosen to be saved.
What it says is chosen in Him before the foundation of the world.
You added “ to be saved”, not me
Although the whole/entire sentence, which is like 14 verses long is about salvation if you think about it.
“According as” takes you back to verse three to tell you what God chose.
And they don’t change the clear meaning of the following verses. Καθώς, simply means “as”, “just as”, or “even as”.
He blessed us with every spiritual blessing in Christ, just as He chose us in Him before the foundation of the world.
Exactly what I’ve been saying.
No it doesn’t. That’s not the function of καθώς at all.

All based upon God knowing us first. God doesn't know us as a son until we first trust in Christ. Now that God has foreknowledge of us as sons (even though the adoption has not taken place yet), He predestinates us to be conformed to the image of His Son, Jesus.
The English language is against you my friend.
. Did not know paul wrote Ephesians in English. LolWhat is the direct object of the verb in Ephesians 1:4? ( the indicative verb, not the infinitive. ).
My Greek NT includes the word ήμας, which means “us” with εκλεγεί Which means “He chose”. IE He chose US.
Since you didn’t answer my question earlier, I will answer it. The direct object of the verb (chose) in Ephesians 1:4 is US.
