They CHOSE to believe and were regenerated.

You might try to include verse 5. EVEN WHEN WE WERE DEAD (spiritually) IN SINS, hath he quickened us. No one can choose spiritual things when they are spiritually dead. They were quickened by God's sovereign grace, without the help of men, (by grace are ye saved).

They were quickened because they heard the Gospel and believed.
They were not forced to believe.
You two have a way of refuting scripture with your useless words, without using scriptures to back them up, because you are afraid that we will be able to defuse your interpretation of them.
They cannot hear, and believe a spiritual gospel, if they are spiritually dead. They still think the gospel is foolishness at the time that they are quickened.

No man is denied grace and if they seek they shall find and they can chose to believe the Gospel that they hear.
How does a Calvinist even know they are saved... when they cannot believe.
I heard the Gospel and I chose to believe it for myself as truth and then I was regenerated.
God did not force me to believe, I responded to what I heard......... and guess what...... the Gospel was explained so well to me that I understood completely what I heard.
That is basic scriptural truth.
"Apart from spiritual rebirth, no man/woman would choose Christ" is a true statement. Your fault is in believing that Christ died for all mankind, when it plainly states that he only died for those that his Father gave him. He also states that he will raise up all of those he died for at the last day, without the loss of even one.

When God Saved me,I knew instantly that I was born again.....in time the Holy Spirit revealed scripture/word to me......
Firstly nowhere in chapter 12 does a state that someone "chose" to believe. Your inclusion of that term is a figment of your imagination, meant to deceive.
Secondly, your free will theory is CRUSHED later on in the text, not supported. Continued reading a brings to the fore the ELECTION PRINCIPLE.
John 12:37......
But although He had done so many signs before them, they did not believe in Him, that the word of Isaiah the prophet might be fulfilled, which he spoke:
“Lord, who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?”
Therefore they could not believe, because Isaiah said again:

The reason that these people could not believe, the reason that ANYONE cannot believe is as follows:
John 10:25....

No THAT is a comprehensive statement of doctrine. And it utterly destroys the doctrine of the free-willers.
Let me call your attention, once again, to Gen 33:28, when God changed Jacob's name, to be no more called Jacob, but to be called "Israel". Now reread the whole chapter of Ezk 36, with the truth of Jacob, being "the house of Israel". Jacob is representative of God's elect, Romans 9:11. Keep in mind that most of the time when Israel is mentioned in the scriptures it is referring to Jacob.
Yes! "the house of Jacob/Israel" are God's elect people, and are made up of every kindred, and tongue, and person, and nation, Rev 5:9. All born again believers are the house of Israel, and will remain until the end of time.
The "all men" are the men/women that his Father gave to him to die for, which was not all mankind, are the ones that he will draw unto him, because all that the Father gave him will be raised up at the last day, without the loss of even one.
yes, how do we know what the "lost" really want unless we go out and get their real and honest feedback?
