Yeah, it is actually overused, that is very true. But yeah I'm thinking of what I have to give up videogame wise. Already gave up on Anime conventions, they are fun, but most do allow vendors of any kind, and this does include people selling homosexual stuff (Including homosexual porn), and heterosexual porn, they cover up their booths usually but I saw one of their booths with the "LGTBQ Flags" (It was a convention being held in June...but still, not good) and when a convention I was thinking of going to said they support "LGTBQ groups" on Facebook, I was done and did not want to go, realizing my money that pays to get into said conventions, means I'm supporting said conventions to allows those kind of vendors into the selling places of the convention. So I want to show what I support, so I've been trying to give money to my church and have decided for conventions, to just stick to videogame conventions. I remember nothing really that awful (Definitely don't remember seeing anything LGTBQ related) at Retropalooza, so I'm gonna try to go back to Retropalooza next year. It's a small convention, but still fun ^_^
Theres a big convention at a fancy hotel every year. About seven or eight of my friends and I get a few rooms there and stay for the convention. Its 3 days long and theres a giant waterpark and restaurants in the hotel. I normally go for the vendors but like you said lots of dirty stuff being sold. I tend to stick with any vendor that sells retro video games. This prior year there wasn't any though which was disappointing. I've also noticed a few artists there with satanic artwork and the like (like legit "Hail Satan" written on it) so it was uncomfortable for me this time. I always wanted a booth for selling art there but my art isn't good enough to sell.

Oh nice! Well, if you end up going, let me know, be interested in knowing if it is mostly Transformers or hype. Ya, pretty Micheal Bay and Beast Wars stuff, there was actually cool transformers...Gen 1. For those who are not familiar, not a Bibke refference😄. That was when the transformers were good. Then they monkeyed with them. Micheal Bay seems to have more of a fascination with Megan Fox then doing quality Transformer movies (as evidenced in using her in another line of movies, TMNT, again not the original movies, kinda creepy to be honest...).
Yes I've heard about Michael Bays attempted at the Ninja Turtles. I'm not a fan of how they look. That being said I would like to get into the original comic books. The black and white ones from the mid 80s. The turtles in those days where very violent and dark and gritty. A new set of Ninja Turtles comics are coming out soon and I'm hoping to get a hold of them.

Ya, I was ok with the movie TMNT from the 80's. Good balance of fun, decent costumes and the turtles (Splinter too of course). New ones , not a fan of.
Is it really micheal bay's intent to make movies based on 80's themed characters or to ruin them, respectful i ask lol.

Seeing how big and popular it is, I can almost guarantee it.
True.
Oh, depending on the location and size of them, some of the Comic-Cons are actually very small, but you usually just hear about the larger gatherings that take place

Yeah, they were good. I actually just got an Art biography on the Ninja Turtles. Lots of older comics from Eastman and Laird and the story of how the turtles came to be.

We have a small convention in our town every year and its mostly for games in general. They bring alot of retro consoles, like the Jaguar, Turbographx and such. That's always fun.

@Kojikun

Yeah that sounds like Retropalooza cause they focus a lot on retro consoles, it was so cool one year I went, I got to play SNES games (Cause they have a huge variety of retro game consoles set out, for people to play), like I played “Spot goes to Hollywood” for the Lols, but getting to actually play the original Donkey Kong was legit cool. I even found VHS tapes, I still have a working VHS player, so I picked some anime VHS tapes cause I’m a nerd. I got Tenchi Muyo in Love one year, and one other year I picked up Shadow Skill Part 1 and 2 on VHS. I’ve been into picking up VHS tapes cause they are cheap, and retro. I’m actually close to completing the Star Wars VHS tapes I have (Original trilogy) cause from what I know, the VHS tapes are the only way to watch the original cut, since George Lucas did that remastered cut and he basically ignores the original cut, kinda stinks to be honest he does that.

I saw your post about the convention stuff, that sounds like so much fun. I usually go with my brother, my mom/dad, or my one friend when going to conventions. But that is awful you saw stuff saying “Hail Satan”. I like drawing, but I know I’m not good enough to be selling art, that’s actually part of the reason why I have decided to avoid anime conventions because you usually see the bad stuff from artists. There is great stuff, I bought a photo of Haruko from FLCL cause it looked really cool, plus I bought some cute character stickers. But usually you see a lot of “shipping fan art” and its normally sexual in some way. That’s one thing I’ll never get, shipping, like it’s not canon to the story and some people get so aggressive over something fictional (Plus some ships are legit awful), like I understand wanting to have fun (With shipping straight couples, anything else I believe is wrong, why do nerds gotta ship friends together, especially if they are of the same gender? Makes me shake my head) but here’s how I seriously I take shipping: “Kirito x Sandwich” from Sword Art online. Cause Kirito eats a sandwich...yeah I like memes, lol 😅

Nice! I just hooked up my VCR the other day and watched an late 80s anime. I'd like to get a SNES someday. I have a Super famicom though which is the Japanese version and there alot of anime fighting games that weren't released in the west. I have like 6 sailor moon games and a few other anime fighters like Ranma and Yu Yu hakusho and Gundam.
Yeah I've been drawing anime for about 20 years. I'm hoping to improve but its difficult. My art is at a mediocre level.

Me too actually, but I don’t know where I would hook it up if I got a SNES, lol 😅, but yeah that’s really cool. I actually still need to finish watching Yu Yu Hakusho, got the whole show on Blu-Ray. I’ve been drawing since the 5th grade, probably anime drawing in the 11th grade. I’m okay too, like I’m better if I copy draw (NOT tracing, I draw what I see, it has actually helped me to be better at drawing in general), this is the latest thing I did for my free drawing skills, it’s to show how I’ve improved as a artist:

He’s a character I made up, I used to be into writing stories cause I wanted to write stories for videogames, but nowadays, I’m trying to figure out how I can write stories for games, but it doesn’t go too far to where it makes me uncomfortable as a Christian, cause a lot of my old story ideas aren’t the best, in Christian terms anyway. I would say the old drawing at this point is about 6 years old, maybe 7 because I made that drawing while still in high school.

Nice! Yeah I write myself, I'm working on several books (I like to have a lot to keep busy) I've written three full ones and I'm working on a Horror anthology series and a Fantasy story that's a part of a bigger project.

A lot, mostly manga though and I have some light novels and some comic books. This is my shelf right now (I have two other shelves but they are smaller, this is my main shelf, there is some stuff on here that I haven’t read yet, lol 😅):

Yes I do have a collecting problem, and have decided once I pass away everything is being donated to a library. But I have fun buying books, though I have luckily realized I will never own everything I want, so I’ve been trying to buy only for stuff on my shelf, and trying to not start collecting new series.

So from my knowledge the manga isn’t out in English yet, but if you can’t wait, it’s been translated into English by scanlation teams, from what I remember reading it was really interesting and cool. The main plot just hits home easily cause it’s a guy given a second chance to go through high school again. I’m okay with my choices and I let the lord guide my life now, but I can’t help but wonder what it would be like, probably not worth it at all, lol 😅

That on my shelf is the limited edition anime set, actually if you can see all the drawers on that shelf, they are filled with anime, yep I’m a nerd 👍

Figured since I feel like it, I would share a photo of my family’s dog, her name is Freckles and she is 13 years old. She is a mix of pointer, English springer spaniel, beagle, coonhound, basset hound, and probably other hunting breeds. We got her from my grandmother’s brother, cause his dogs had puppies. She’s a good dog, but she can’t run around like she used to.

Hey, that's cool, thanks for sharing. Throw in like the shorter breads too just for kicks, a little yorkie there, maybe some dachshund and now you have a party🥳 (and one that is possibly better at limbo😄).
Nice dog and nice that you shared about it.🙂
