You may be called among Christendom, one who believes that eternal deliverance is gained by doing good works. Repenting, confessing and turning from sin are the works of a person that has already been regenerated.
God's doctrine is His word and I do my very best to live btwn the pages of instructions and commands He has given us.

I do not believe in OSAS, Calvinism,Mormonism,SDA,Jehovah witness, church of Christ,Baptist,Methodist, nor any denominal statement of faith nor Creed.

I believe in God,the Father,Jesus, the Son and the Holy Ghost.
I believe we must be born again by the Spirit by repenting, confessing and turning from sin.
I believe we must live within the instructions of God's word as our only source of doctrine.
I believe in a real heaven and a real hell.
Love the Lord our God and your neighbor as yourself as the two greatest commands given.
Be led of the Holy Spirit and not of the flesh in finding the paths He sets b4 us.

Walk in love being a good steward of the word towards God and our fellow man.

God's promises and blessings are real to those who walk in obedience.

I don't know what I may be called among Christendom but I pray that Jesus shines through me in love!
To accuse Just Jo of believing salvation is gained by doing good works shows a lack of listening carefully to what she says.

I understand that "repenting, confessing, and turning from sin" can be defined in different ways. But you take your understanding of those terms, assume she meant what you mean by them, and then make a very unfair accusation.

But that is my opinion . . . she can speak for herself . . .

Because you wrote this:

"Salvation is described in Rom 1 .16 / Romans 10.9 / 1 cor 15 .1-4 . Not the Acts of the Apostles . "

If salvation is not "described" in Acts, but is described in Romans and I Corinthians, then I assume you meant that everything in Acts that describes how the early church lived is not "salvation".

But I didn't want to assume and that idea seems far fetched to me, so I asked . . .?
The key to understanding is that, for the nation Israel, their sins are only blotted out at Jesus's 2nd coming for them.

Salvation is something Israel can expect in the future.

The backdrop is given by Peter whom the Holy Spirit was using to address Israel in Acts 3

14 But ye denied the Holy One and the Just, and desired a murderer to be granted unto you;

15 And killed the Prince of life, whom God hath raised from the dead; whereof we are witnesses.

....

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

The Holy Spirit was announcing to Israel the good news that, even though they have done a wicked act in crucifying their Messiah that was promised to them in the OT, forgiveness was at hand.

All their sins will be blotted out at the times of refreshing, when Jesus comes back to the Mount of Olives for the nation, as promised in the OT.

The "house of Israel" in Acts 2:36 does not have reference to the nation of Israel, but has reference to Jacob as Israel, who is representative of the church, the elect, which is made up of every tongue, and kindred, and people and nation Rev 6:9.

These men that peter was preaching to in Acts were already regenerated children of God, else their hearts could not have been "Pricked".

There is a different response when those that stoned Steven for preaching the same message. They were "cut to the heart" These two groups of people had different hearts. Those in Acts that were "pricked" had been given a new heart in regeneration.

The "times of refreshing" is not when Jesus comes back to the Mount of Olives, however, if you show me the scriptures that says that, I might rethink my interpretation that the times of refreshing is When Peter tells them in Acts 2:38, to repent, and be baptised for (because of) the remission of sins (which was accomplished on the cross for them).

I am sorry, If I misunderstood her. I was responding to her for her remark that it was necessary to repent, confess and turn from sin to gain the new birth.

It depends on whether you are willing to read Scripture literally, Acts 3

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

21 Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.

Reading vs 19 literally, will tell you that Israel's sins will only be blotted out "when the times of refreshing shall come". "Shall come" implies that its a future event.

And what future event is that, vs 20 tells us "he shall send Jesus Christ". The same word "shall" is used.

Vs 21 tells you that the OT already prophesied that salvation for Israel only comes when Jesus return for them (vs 20).

We come to Jesus by God''s grace through faith. We continue to be saved not because of the works we do, but because of God's grace through faith.

Just as I chose to put my faith in Jesus Christ, so it would be possible for me to choose to no longer believe in Jesus. God does not force people to believe in Him and serve Him. But He does woo us and love us and give us all that we need for life and godliness.
So you believe It is posible for Christian abandon his faith and lose his salvation or not?

1 Tim 4:1

1 Timothy 4:1, NIV: "The Spirit clearly says that in later times some will abandon the faith and follow deceiving spirits and things taught by demons."

Thank you @Chester ,I didn't feel it warranted any reply.
That's what happens here,is either people read w/o comprehension or skim and then read into post what they want it to say.

I am so very thankful Jesus will judge His own!

Acts 2 .38
38¶Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
No its says Repent, AND be baptised EVERYONE OF YOU ...FOR !!THE REMISSION OF SINS AND !!! YE SHALL RECIEVE THE GIFT OF THE HOLY GHOST . Said no one to a gentile in any of Paul's letters . We do not preach this way today .Unless your AOG , Church of Christ or other similar groups.

The two reactions are a result of a self hardened heart and a non self hardened heart . Acts 7.51 v a Cornelius for example .

Do you have a verse that says you have to turn from sin to gain the new birth ? And you mentioned nothing about ' believing the gosepl?
1 cor 1 21For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that turn from their sins , confess , be baptised ?...no .

believe.

Acts 16.30
29¶Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas,
30And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved?
Well you need to turn from all your sins , confess your sins , promise total commitment and to make Jesus the Lord of your pocket book ,if he's not Lord of all then he's not Lord at all , be baptised for the remission of your sins , workout your salvation with fear ,doing deeds of faith , tithe , endure to the end , clean the church toilets and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and ....?
31¶And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.

Yes, that is what I said. It is possible for a Christian to abandon the faith and lose his salvation.

A born again believer is justified, declared innocent by God.
This means it is impossible to lose one's salvation.

For myself, I know that I have the moral capability to choose to deny Christ. I could just as well be a "Hitlar" as anyone else. I am not better than the worst. Except for this: God's grace and love and mercy have enveloped my heart and He has wooed me and brought me into His fold. I rest secure in his love and grace and mercy. My Lord and my God . . . I love Him indeed with all of my heart and soul and mind -- I am held by his never-ending love and longsuffering - yet I am not held as a prisoner - I am a completely free moral being created in God's image - and my heart responds in a deep-rooted faith in the death and resurrection of my Redeemer -- I am a servant of love to the King . . . Praise to His name!

It would be helpful then for you to understand that "Justified" is a legal standing and there is no double jeopardy.
God does not declare someone innocent and then declare them guilty.

This cannot happen by the very reason for the work of Christ Jesus, to declare men innocent, for those who receive His gift of salvation.

It depends on whether you are willing to read Scripture literally, Acts 3

19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord.

20 And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you:

Reading vs 19 literally, will tell you that Israel's sins will only be blotted out "when the times of refreshing shall come". "Shall come" implies that its a future event.

And what future event is that, vs 20 tells us "he shall send Jesus Christ". The same word "shall" is used.

Vs 21 tells you that the OT already prophesied that salvation for Israel only comes when Jesus return for them (vs 20).
That is true, that the adoption process for God's children was first, to choose them, secondly, to pay the adoption price, which was Christ's death on the cross, which secured them for the third, and final step in the adoption process, and that will be when he comes back to gather his elect, and carries them home.

I am not sure that I am understanding your comment "Said no one to a Gentile in any of Paul's letters"

Acts 10:35, Because that on the Gentiles also was poured out the gift of the Holy Ghost.

If you read on down to verse 6, Timothy calls these that will do these things in later times, "brethren".
