What I know is that God is not willing that any should perish... and any is any ... not the elect.
Choice is everywhere is scripture.
Okay I see you're not paying attention. I NEVER denied choice at all, so who are you talking too? I agree. So is predestination and Gods sovereignty. So????

There are many verses, that is the one that came to mind.
And God's true sovereignty includes Him giving choice... not Him being a puppet master.

I look at it another way...God is willing me to follow him...it’s his will that I follow him..therefore choice doesn’t come into it for me and only me.......his will...will be done....
Sorry I’ve mentioned me again.....just trying to explain.

Nothing to forgive brother. So many of us are on the same team, yet we all seem to forget that.

We MUST remember that absolutely NONE of us, except maybe Paul, has everything right.

It’s contending for the simple Gospel that our collective focus should be.
Amen bro.
Thanks for showing room how people can disagree without attacking each other and belittling the other because we do not agree

Straw man 🤦‍♂️

This is Sunday school stuff bud, Adam had free will with one limitation, don’t eat from the tree, he chose poorly and his sin is imputed to all men after causing us to all be guilty. However, God in his mercy chooses to save some by grace, the divine influence upon the heart...
So Adam did have free will and used that free will to go against God

Thank you

Straw man? How was it a straw man to prove a point?

Do you believe you had a choice to be physically conceived and born?
She was not alive physically before she was born. In fact she had yet to be created with the ability to chose anything
so in essence this is a faulty reason to claim we had no choice in salvation

Did Jesus ever say blessed are those who have their doctrine all snug and perfect? Did He ever say doctrine is what holds believers together? Did someone crucify doctrine on the cross or did Jesus die in our place because of our sin?

Jesus said believers would be known by their love for one another. So of what spirit are those who insist on doctrine and slam anyone who disagrees?

33Little children, I am with you only a little while longer. You will look for Me, and as I said to the Jews, so now I say to you: ‘Where I am going, you cannot come.’

34A new commandment I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you also must love one another. 35By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you love one another.” John 13

There was a time I thought I saw this and even lived it. The spirit of this world has infiltrated the hearts of believers and they have forgotten.

He also said ,you will know them by their fruit.

Bearing fruit should be a main focus for a believer.

If they believe that....I would like to see the scripture that says most are denied salvation.

No one knows who God Saves...how can anyone know that?
In their view if god does not elect them they have no choice they are in essence denied salvation because they have no ability to chose salvation or death

It was the analogy Jesus used in John 3
Not really
John 3 is about being born again. Not the original birth

One who needs both again has already been given a will and ability

One who has not been born yet has
No ability to Do Anything

Do you have a problem with loving other believers? Maybe have another look at what 'fruit' is.

Galatians 5:22-23

22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

I don't know who you are, other than that you have made a name for yourself on the 'not by works' thread, but I would not be taking any advice from you as you are obviously enamored with your own little self.

Umm no......

Did Jesus state...

All people are created they have no choice = all people will be born again and have no choice.

That is would be the correct equivocation.

That is not what Jesus is stating.
In fact in John 3. Jesus told him how one is born again. By believing in the son sent by God If one dies this they are given life (born again) and this life is called eternal life

Until God sets us free from sin...we are dead, blind and lost in this world.xx

Now this is what I object to. This is what comes out when certain people here think they have the upper hand.

What is sad, is you are judging the hearts of other Christians. You have no business stating that those who are not Calvinists have hostility towards God. Hostility towards Calvinism (which is not really Calvinism at all as has been shown) you betcha! However, that seems to equate or create equality between that doctrine and God and that is approaching something blasphemous. No doctrine IS God and people disagree and have disagreed for centuries.

I am neither Calvinist or Armenian but I have never read of nor heard any person of any flavor of Christianity (and God having much patience knows there are many) say they were somehow not at enmity with God prior to accepting Christ.

No. Sadly that is just you being a billboard for the intolerance, cruelty and injustice certain hyper Calvinists seem to adhere to. This intolerance is born not of a desire to defend the gospel, but rather a smug and self righteous spirit which seems to actually go along with traits one can find in the character of one Mr Calvin if said individual is represented with correct historical reference, but we just need to look at your post and not go digging for more evidence of the spirit of hyper Calvinism.

You misrepresent both the gospel and Christians here. I don't care what you say or teach, but when you start trying to assassinate the characters of others and vilify people who have a genuine love for their Savior, you put yourself in another category.
See. It is not just me who sees this!

Oh my word...look at you post to me.....I mentioned fruit and look at your post to me.you completely twisted my post.

If I made a name for myself in the not by works thread......God allowed it....I’m not arguing with you sir...have a nice day......
