John 10:29 My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one is able to snatch them out of the Father's hand.

Jackrosie, God said it to Moses, but yet He gave Israel a bill of divorce because they chose not to serve Him anymore. So either, God is lying or you don’t understand John 10:29. The word deliver in Deuteronomy is natsal and it means to snatch away, strip or plunder, to be torn out or away.

While we are in covenant with God we cannot be snatched away, but when we choose to leave He will give us a bill of divorce, just like he did with Israel.

I started to read MDan, but came to the word willfull right off the bat so to speak... In scripture it’s wilful, So I looked to see the difference.

Now does this then make a difference? In my thinking it does.

Not those He redeemed through His offering of His Son.

The body of Christ is both Jew and Gentile who believe and receive. Would Father ever divorce His Son?

Members of His body and He keeps His body whole.

His Son is the groom so this is a moot point, we are the bride....

I agree. DorothyMae- you are ONLY a victim if you see yourself as a victim. You CAN BE AN OVERCOMER, NOT VICTIM, if you can see yourself IN CHRIST.

If the person that hurt you claimed to be a Christian, know that it is as if a brother or sister in a family hurt you....take the offense to Daddy God.

Ask for recompense and correction, ask for your heart and emotions to be healed, and ask for help to forgive the person(s).

I like this post... we will not always agree on the word of God. Even the disciples had their differences :)

Jesus said to Nicodemus...only a born again will see the Kingdom Of God.....I am a born again..I am a child of God....and I have eternity in the Lord’s Kingdom...

I will never be taken from Jesus!....,,,,,”NEVER”...that was testified to my spirit....from the Holy Spirit!

You once again are conflating God's dealing with a nation and His dealing with individuals.

There is no bill of divorce for those that are saved.

Amen!!......from what I can see of her posts.....she has been hurt.......but she won’t take us down with her......

She needs a lot of prayer....God needs to place that on my heart...because at the moment I am unable to pray for her!.

A Born Again knows they have eternal security.....I do pray for those who don’t know it in their spirit and mind..that the Lord will bring them to that knowledge..

All of those can only be understood within a central truth salvation is secure.

Scripture does not contradict itself.

If salvation is not secure then no one is saved because we cannot save nor keep ourselves saved....not possible....and the very words you listed prove OSAS and that it is all because of God's keeping promises.

Correct! A Father CANNOT divorce His Child.....BIRTH is different than MARRIAGE.....perhaps ALL Believers are Children but, NOT all Believers are The Bride......:unsure:
