Tongues have nothing to do mindless babble, thats the charismatic/pentecostal perversion of tongues. The Bible is written in the unknown tongue from cover to cover.

Tongues is the language of symbolism. It’s an unknown tongue because it isn’t a spoken language, it’s a communication system where the message is hidden from one group but revealed to another group by concealing the message in symbols.

The OP is all about "this mindless babble" causing division.
Paul called out some from the Corinthian church practicing this mindless babble, known as unknown tongue.
It’s an unknown tongue because it isn’t a spoken language,
No! Paul called it unknown tongue because no one else in the congregation could understand this spoken mindless babble. Read 1 Corinthians chapter 12 and chapter 13 as these chapters will show the lengthy message correcting the congregation in Corinth.

I got to say, you've got me all bamboozled here, you are saying that that the bible is written in a unspoken language cover to cover, only to be hidden from one group yet revealed to another via a concealed message in symbolic systems.
I guess it's too bad if one happens to be in the "hidden group" never able to hear or grasp the testimony of Jesus

Take it or leave it it’s your choice. When someone told me that, I searched the scriptures and found out it was true.

Paul did not call prophecy the tongue of God mindless babel .Prophecy the tongue of God is mindless babble to those who do not hold to prophecy, the tongue of God.

God has assigned the spirit of judgement represented by the tribe of Dan, the judge. This so that believers can help the wonderment seekers understand that seeking after lying wonderments aa oral traditions of those who hold to the oral traditions of men who clearly are underthe spirit of judgment . (slain in the Spirit) Not filled with the spirit. They make senseless sounds and fall backward to show they are under the law spoken of in Isiah 28 and revisited in 1 Coriorinthians 14:21-22 .

Like David said in the Psalms. what can a believer do if the foundation of the doctrine are made to no effect through the oral traditions of corrupted mankind??

The law of all that do seek after wonderments and not faith as sign against them who believe not prophecy.

Your claim is false :)
No, it is not.

1 Corinthians 12:1-10KJV
12 Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant.
The word translated "spiritual gifts" in the KJV is pneumatikos, and it means spiritual things, or spiritual matters.

2 Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.
3 Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost.
4 Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit.
Yes, there are diversities of gifts. But the manifestation of the spirit is given to every Christian (vs7)

5 And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord.
6 And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all.
7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.
8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
Yes, one of the manifestations is gifts of healings. Healing is always a gift.

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
That verse does not say tongues is a gift. Speaking in tongues is never called a gift in the Bible.

If tongues was a gift that only some Christians have, Paul could not have said that he wants all Christians to speak in tongues (1 Cor 14:5).

If you want to insist that tongues is a gift, then it is a gift that every Christian has (whether they know it or not...).

Tongues as prophecy of God is a spiritual gift (not seen) . No such thing as a sign "witnessed with the eye" gift.

John 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

No living hope to those who seek after a signs and lying wonders gospel .Why wonder when a person can believe as a living hope. Who hopes for what they do see?

Luke 11:29 And when the people were gathered thick together, he began to say, This is an evil generation: they seek a sign; and there shall no sign be given it, but the sign of Jonas the prophet.

You should stop making things up, garee. Tongues is never called prophecy of God.

The rest of your post is displaying your ignorance yet again. Speaking in tongues is not a "sign gift", whatever that is. It is one of the nine manifestations of the gift of the Holy Spirit, something God would like every Christian to do (1 Cor 14:5).

Haters are gonna hate, no matter what. It's too bad.

Tongues is a spiritual gift, and is used prophetically in the Church.

That us like saying Elijah outran a chariot but God can not do that today.

Then you reference some natives that regularly outrun horses or some such disqualifier.

Disqualify all you want.

You are beating the air big time

If you knew the Spoken words of Christ, you would have never made such a ridiculous remark!

This is Christ Himself (or as John 14:10 explains, the FATHER LIVING inside Christ) is saying:
Luke 12:51

Suppose ye that I am come to give peace on earth? I tell you, Nay; but rather division:
Jesus said some would stumble over the rock.

As long as Jesus is powerless then they can have unity.

Once Jesus stands up inside a believer they hate it.

nothing has changed. Pharisees will manifest as they did long ago.

Some might fake it but I'm here to tell you I couldn't fake it if I wanted to .. Here's a question .. If you physically hear someone stand up and deliver a message in tongues in church but at the same time hear in your language in your mind/spirit about a specific person or church encouragement in your mind at the same time, even another interpreter stand up with the exact same word for word interpretation as you heard in your mind and Spirit enough to confirm the interpreters interpretation , how could/would you rate it as fake ?
They do not have the baptism in the Holy Spirit.

I would most likely call it fake had I not gotten saved during the charismatic movement.

I remember in the mid 90s my mother asked me to come to her church because some were laughing hysterically.
I told her it was almost certain to be fake.
Well I went and also got hit by the Holy Spirit.
I did not laugh, but I knew God was doing a work.
Powerful, powerful presence.

So,that is why they buck up. It is part human nature, part pharisees spirit.

So did I .. I got saved while out running one day in my early 20's from being at least agnostic if not Atheist .. I had a Damascus road experience and Jesus turned my world around .. I didn't even know churches were different from one another and chose a Baptist church down the street to make it official that Sunday .. I remember thinking ''when is this preacher going to shut-up and give the alter call'' . Next I was thinking ''if this is what being a Christian is like how can all these folks just sit there'' .. I was angry that I was crying and slinging snot everywhere even embarrassed that I couldn't control it while all the congregation just sat and watched , LOL .. Meanwhile in my spirit I wasn't going anywhere but with Jesus because this was real .. I didn't know how to act but I was trying to control it .. Next after a couple weeks or so I remember reading about the gifts and asked my preacher about it and he said ''oh, we don't do that anymore'' .. I thought ''I told Jesus the day He took my breath and almost knocked me down that either the whole Bible was true or none of it was or the deal was off (yeah, that was a stupid thing to say) .. The preacher was a great man of God and I loved him, respected him and a great local athlete who grew up friends with my heathen father and uncle .. I didn't argue when he told me ''we don't do that anymore'' I just let it go for the time being .. And I began to doubt my salvation because I wasn't perfect like the church folk seemed to be or the aire they put on .. It wasn't too long before I began to feel lonely and backslid, my fault .. After years of messing up I began to realize it was Jesus indeed who kept bringing me back .. I found out I was as good and as saved as anybody .. Although many mouthy Christians were there to make me question my faith I received edification and spoke in tongues on New Years eve years later .. And Jesus had told me I'd know for sure earlier that year May that I would know for sure next New year after asking when will I know every breath for a long time, Actually I heard a voice behind me twice so clear I turned around to see who was talking to me .. There's a lot of remarkable testimony and miracles how that come about ..
Tongues is a sign and I needed self edification and I also know that when your mind tells you different from the Word then listen to the Word no matter the warfare going on in your mind or how demonic the attack is on the Word .. The devil is the liar and he lies every time every chance and if you listen and don't fight him with the Word you can become his fodder .. Fast, pray and stay in the Word , lean not on your own understanding, to whom much is given, much is expected ..

1Co 14:7 And even things without life giving sound, whether pipe or harp, except they give a distinction in the sounds, how shall it be known what is piped or harped?
1Co 14:8 (KJV) For if the trumpet give an uncertain sound, who shall prepare himself to the battle?

Is the trumpet in verse 18 a life giving sound or no?

It seem to me that those that speak this "unknown tongue" in the congregations, they are considered barbarians to Paul.
I Corinthians 14:11

"Therefore if I know not the meaning of the voice, (If I don't know what someone is saying) I shall be unto him that speaketh (like) a barbarian, and he that speaketh shall be a barbarian unto me."

Clearly this mindless babble is a subtle rebuke to the radical Corinthians as it has no place in the congregation unless it can somehow be interpreted.

This "unknown tongue" is not forbidden
I Corinthians 14:13
"Wherefore let him that speaketh in an unknown tongue pray that he may interpret."

I Corinthians 14:3,4

"But he that prophesieth (or speaketh forth the Word as a gifted individual) speaketh unto men to edification, (lift them up) and exhortation, and comfort." Now verse 4,

"He that speaketh in an unknown tongue edifieth himself; but he that prophesieth (and speaks forth the Word of God) edifieth the church."

When someone claims to have had a tongues experience, according to the Bible, who are they edifying? Themselves. It's an ego trip when practiced inappropriately.

This is a vastly incorrect view of tongues. I gave testimony of tongues a couple in fact and yes while one was spoken to me from another person I am still part of the church, I myself didn't speak it but a friend spoke it over me. The second yime I gave testimony it was for the sake of a person I had no clue where or who they were but I pored everything into that prayer for them.
The third time perhaps was not for self edification rather just a personal intimate moment between father and I.
Based on what you said all the testimonies I gave don't line up

You know how the first test revealed I am like jacob and Peter?

I took several others and look at these results.

1) YOUR RESULT IS:
The Sacrificial Leader (Moses/Esther)
You are the sacrificial leader that’s always solving problems for others. You naturally are the leader in any group you’re on and God can trust you to walk in humility and be a conduit of His presence for others. You’re not easily given to pride and in fact regularly examine yourself to make sure that you haven’t fallen out of alignment of God’s will.

2) You are Daniel! You are strong and unbreakable. Even in the face of unmistakable evil you do not crumble. There is not an ounce of weakness within you.

3)
Elisha
You are not a loner like your predecessor, Elijah. You generally work within the system, working your way to the top. You are logical and intelligent but maybe a slight self-conscious. Regardless, people seek your counsel.

That is 6 different persons from the Bible. What's interesting, none of the questions are the same from test to test which guarantees multiple answers. So then, I wonder what Jacob + Peter + Moses + Esther + Daniel + Elisha = to?
