Sometimes when we come under conviction we fight very hard, then there is that moment when we see.
I prayed you would be strong in the Lord and resist people like @DorothyMae who is daily revealing herself and not for the good.

Yes we can pray for her, but she is not someone we want to encourage.

You will find diverse beliefs here, but I think you chose two good teachers for yourself and that is very important.

At the age of twenty one when I was born again I was blessed to have someone who taught me so much through regular bible study and to this day I still am so thankful for that.

One thing he always stressed was to test the spirits to see they are from God and see if what they teach lines up with scripture.. it is very important.

Yes I agree....dc and eg...know what they are talking about..which I always check with scripture...but I can also challenge and question them now....but in the right way.

God knows what I was in,yet once again he delivered me it....he always does....I felt vert uncomfortable on this thread to start with....,but I know I had to keep going,which I did in faith and trust.

Look where I am now....full of peace,receiving knowledge from the right people.....i don’t mean everyone on this thread....but you know the two that I am talking about.....I feel protected by them...which is from God....

The other day you were chirping about people who embrace eternal security as being focused on feelings rather than obedience. Now you’re saying our feelings are few and far between. So which is it, are we focused on feelings or are our feelings few and far between?

I have been told that about feelings...it’s rubbish....we were saved by grace...we did nothing to earn it.....
My emotions have gotten in the way when I post.

They say these things because they don’t understand what being born again is....
.I have always known in my heart that I am saved until I die..then Jesus/Holy Spirit will take me to Heaven/be with God.

But my head was screwed up about it...Dorothy made it worse...sorry Dorothy but it’s the truth.

My head/mind has now caught up with my heart....never to be taken away.....you see how God gets us there,when we put our faith and trust in him.......

He wants me to lean on him and no one else.

Amen....the bible tells us to not be removed from the simplicity found in Christ....this is a true thing and NOT something we should br upset about....You, I, EG, all of us are SHEEP.....and sheep by their very nature NEED EASY because they are mute, dumb, will no make a sound while being slaughtered etc......The TRUTH is simple for a reason and that is what makes it so hard for most to grasp....IT IS A SIMPLE thing to believe and be saved....but to the intellectuals, most of society etc...they OVER COMPLICATE the word of GOD and one of the things I SEE creeping in...MANY not letting the word say what the word says....just like yesterday when a poster said....

You are not understanding the meaning of the word in the context of which hw used it.

Faith also means the body of doctrine. So the faith of Calvin is the body of doctrine Calvin adhered to and taught.

Without Calvin your dogma would not exist

I 100% agree about the intellectuals..some do over complicate the word of God.....the Lord has been showing me that for quite a while......now when I see that...I scroll past their post.

It is a simple thing to believe and be saved....why do they over complicate it....maybe to try and impress with their intellect?

When I see them do this...I just think here we go again...then move on swiftly.
