Beware of false teachers who teach you the opposite of what the fruits of the Spirit mean.

They twist it and turn it...to fit in with their false doctrine......

BY THEIR FRUIT YOU WILL RECOGNISE THEM.

Fruit is the character of the speaker, not what followers do or are. That was the problem of the pharisees. Good teaching but bad character. Jesus called them snakes, not liars.

He never judged them by their followers.

Amen....when I went to church..the Lords fruit of character comes out of my Pastor mouth.
One of the most humble men I have ever met.....the Lord speaks to me through him....

The point is the fruit you do see. With time the character is revealed. It’s not that difficult. Even unbelievers recognize the difference between say, trustworthy and untrustworthy men.

I agree..you can’t fake the fruit of the spirit....maybe for a short period.....but the real person will always be revealed

That is why I doubt some.....because they bear no fruit what ever....just scripture.
Of course scripture is the word.......
But the “HEART” is where God is....so where is the fruit from some believers?..after yrs and yrs of supposedly walking with him?

You don't even know what fruit is.....You, like her, think because we rake her and a few others over the coals because of the false dogma she embraces and peddles that WE bear no fruit or are not saved.....it is sickening to be frank....and you are coddling one of the most deceptive people I have seen on this site, one that skews the truth, skews what we say, accuses us of the same crap that the lost men of Paul's day accused him of...and you may have me on ignore, but every one else will see it....and many are discussing it behind the scenes!

I guess I don’t judge them except to note that they are at best immature and so need to be treated as small children in the faith. Not much required in terms of behavior and especially understanding. They just don’t know much. It’s OK unless they try to teach.

The scribes and Pharisees discussed Jesus “behind the scenes” too. The Lord took note of their words too. “Be careful what you utter in your private chambers.”
