If someone upsets you, just put them on ignore. Problem solved.

Funny how eternal security is so upsetting....never once has this correct doctrinal position offended me.

I amazed how quickly some will abandon this central essential truth for the sake of unity (not you I hope).

If salvation in Christ is not secure it offers nothing different than any other religion.

I have known first hand the impact and ramifications of false teachers .....it ain't pretty!

I wish I’d known that earlier....how do I put her on ignore?

Yes please do by all means.... I am quite popular in my personal life, I am not on CC to be popular only to defend the truth....I pray you never experience what I have as a consequence of false doctrine.

it's the ability to make a decision for or against trusting in Christ based on the conviction of faith
I heard what you said and I understand, well I believe I understand it.

You define faith as: the ability to make a decision for or against trusting in Christ (other's call this 'prevenient grace') based on
Hebrews 11:1 Now faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality—faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses].
... with some concentration I can see where you get this idea

wow ... I am not going to convince you ... I can see where you are coming from now ... very subtle. I don't agree, but I think I see where your get your definition of FAITH.
O.K. ... well we will just have to agree to disagree on the definition of FAITH. Of course, that makes communication very difficult as we are in effect talking in a different language. That's why translators and I use the dictionary are the basis of definition for this enchances communication. All I can say is that you are reading an English translation of the Bible and I would say you have to use a dictionary to define words as that is what the translators do.

hmm ... we are at an impasse ... took a while, but I understand how you derive your definition.

Aside: So, so few understand your definition of FAITH that it will be very difficult for you to talk about FAITH to others if you get deeper into it.

Aside2: As for me, I'm a simple guy and use the K.I.S.S. rule (Keep It Simple Stupid) ... thus I just go to the dictionary.

Looks like you may lose a member of your fan club. (said in humorous)

Hey, if you put me on IGNORE I would get a lot less "X"s. *giggles*... just teasing you in friendly manner ;)

My fan club operates in the negative on CC mostly...except for
@Lafftur ... I keep trying with her but I dunno she is awfully stubborn...lol

The giggle to me can be a disagree, and acknowledging I have read the post...without having to be so blatant about it unless it is really out there.

I never to be honest , I did not trust anyone in my life , so it was hard for me to understand what trusting meant :)...
It has only really been these past 2 yrs out off my 4 yrs walking with our Lord that I have come to understand Gods love and His promises which never change...
Now , I trust Him completley with my life...
He has been and is being very patient with me...

I have to agree with this from the bottom of my heart.
In fact, that's the top reason people from other religious backgrounds come to Christ. Ex Muslims usually.
When they recount how they came to believe in Jesus, they describe, in islam, per example, this idea of a god who never guarantees you anything and all life you just try to appease this god all your life, to tip the scales with works, and there's no guarantee they will ever make it, which leaves their souls empty, scared, and desperate. When they find Jesus, these people truly come to life in every way and their testimonies are very powerful.

Soul Weaver....Amen and Amen!!!

I could write a true novel on the damage of false teachers.

Bless you!

I know I keep repeating myself....but your post spoke to me.

I had a vision 28 yrs ago....God has brought that vision back To me.

I too have come back alive in the Lord.....my spirit that is.

Same here.....I fell in Love with God instantly....but trusting took time....he knows perfectly how to get our trust......as he is the only one who truly knows us and loves us.

I agree...
But to be honest , I was not reading my bible daily , I was not feeding on His word to nourish me , but now I have more self dicipline and understanding of His word , that has made all the difference :)...
