But you still haven't answered my question.
People who follow Christ "keep" (Greek word "tereo" - guard, observe, watch over) His commands. This does not mean that we perfectly obey all of His commands 100% of the time. Is that the answer you are looking for?

...when you ask them directly if they believe we should keep God's commandments, they sidestep the question.
Of course, they have to save face with their online simpleton's rather than stand on truth. You know, they too might get ridiculed. They ain't havin' none of that persecuted for the truth thing happenin' bro. Hang around, it usually get's rolling in the evenings when blowhard gets online. :)

I was looking for a direct answer, not a hemming and hawing around.

They accuse anyone who suggests that we should obey God's commandments as preaching a 'salvation by works' doctrine.
Must or else results in 'salvation by works.' We should always obey God, but that doesn't mean we never mess up.

But when you ask them directly if they believe we should keep God's commandments, they sidestep the question.
We are created in Christ Jesus unto good works...that we should walk in them. (Ephesians 2:10) We should "keep" (guard, observe, watch over) God's commandments. (1 John 2:3)

Amen... the correct understanding according to scripture.

"We should always obey God"

Exactly!

That's all that's being said here.

But some people are accusing me of preaching a 'salvation by works' doctrine just for saying that we should obey God.

Just for the record, again. I began saying that his people keep his commandments in this thread. It is a truth. I stand by it.

But I...

Never said perfectly.

Never said for salvation.

Never said to assist in salvation.

Never said we are saved by these.

Yet, the simpleton tribe attacked over it. Let's see "self-righteous" "works-preacher" and other derogatory names, championed by several others.

LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I guarantee none of you would step up to me running your mouth like that in person. The internet affords you the opportunity to show your true selves behind your monitors.

And? God judges according to truth. :)

So now you do not agree with "will?"

There a quite a difference between them.

Dude (said in a nice way) ... you have at times used words that would lead one to think you believe in "salvation by works". I have read your posts. They are ambiguous at times. I personally don't think you believe in 'salvation by works'; but at times don't articulate it well. The difference between the qualifiers like "should", "will", "must", "try to" in front of "obey" can be subtle.
Meant as constructive criticism. (IMO)

the people hassling me won't say whether we should keep the Lord's commandments.
ahem:

BTW before I get falsely accused, no I am not saying "don't bother doing righteous works and walking in obedience"

Yes He says if you love Him, keep His instruction.

But does He say we have life by works or does He say we have life by believing on Him?
really don't think i'm harassing you.
but could you answer my question, then?

Yes, I'm not up on church 'lingo', so perhaps the way I have articulated my thoughts hasn't helped.
I have tried though.

Don't take this the wrong way: If you cannot articulate your beliefs concisely, it's because you don't understand them as well as you think you do.

Your OP brought an onslaught on your person, and rightly so. It also caused the ravenous wolves a.k.a. simpletons on here to attack some others, well, at least one other, in ignorance and on purpose, just because they live for this type of behavior.
