And since you brought it up, I am going to tell you something!

It is sin to have sex outside of marriage! It does damage to the other person, and to yourself! Sexual sins are some of the biggest tricks of the Devil! And it is not OK for you go bragging about your sin!

Cussing - if you mean taking the name of the Lord in vain, How dare you? That is the one who saved me from sin, loves me, and gave His life for me - and you are using His name in vain?! That is sin!

Drinking - nothing unbiblical about alcohol - but getting drunk is clearly against NT teaching! You didn't say you get drunk, so I won't preach it anymore!

If you come to my children and want to share the gospel with them and in the process you tell them you cuss and have sex with your girlfriend, I will chase you off my property!

Are you a believer? You said you are and that your soul longs for God - you said you have a contrite heart. I take what you say at face value. If so, you should not be offended by what I say.

You are right that we are fully saved by faith and not because of what we do - with that I agree.

But I am not OK with a Christian being OK with being a "habitual sinner" - I won't stand for it! And neither does God!
I agree wholeheartedly with everything you've said.

I don't suppose those who have relentlessly attacked and mocked me for saying that we should keep God's commandments will agree.
In fact, some of them may even pull the 'don't judge' card.

Funny... you pulled out a few verses out of context ..... that is all.

The merry go round is of your own making because all you do respond in a very troll like manner.
I'm willing to put our bickering aside and tell you that I love you.
Are you willing to do the same for me.

I will pray for you.
Will you pray for me?

I think the original reference here is to Hebrews 10:26:

Hebrews 10:26
"Dear friends, if we deliberately continue sinning after we have received knowledge of the truth, there is no longer any sacrifice that will cover these sins"

So in the context of this verse: the one ongoingly keeping on sinning - those sins are not covered by any sacrifice - OT or NT sacrifice
Stated without considering the whole context.

The constant conflating of two separate topics is the problem here as always.

Salvation and Discipleship.

This is the definitive statement on salvation, that is stated over and over again in scripture, one which you have yet to grasp.

Ephesians
8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—

if the law is not abolished

No one will make it to heaven

This is what the law teaches.. The ONLY one one can redeemed according to the law is through animal sacrifice. Animals have not been sacrificed in the temple since ad70.. So s paul said, If you are under law. you are under a curse..

Good luck tryign to relate to God and think he will restor you according to the law.
So Moses, Samuel and Elijah are all in hell because the law wasn't abolished back then?
Jesus followed the law, you really think He was cursed?
I don't get how anyone can follow these ideas.

In light of you comment, perhaps @eternally-gratefull could shed some light on whether you're a true Christian, given what @eternally-gratefull said in the quote above...
He did not say he lived in sin

Huge difference

It is something I guess you can not understand, because your interpretation of what constitutes LIVING IN SIN according to 1 John 3 is flawed. (at the very least. not the same as mine)

Were are saved through faith (faith is the instrument of salvation) and kept by Jesus...and He remains faithful to His promises.
I am still waiting for someone to tell us how God fails a person so bad they lose faith.

We are saved by GRACE through faith.

Works never saved a single soul EVER....... so again you deny the Gospel.
Gospel means good news.
Grace through faith is a doctrine that came out 1500 years after Jesus.

He clearly stated that he lives in sin, and @Chester was able to grasp this too, see the quote below.

Yet more dodging the issue and sidestepping the question.

Do you ever listen to anyone??

Grace through faith is a doctrine that came out 1500 years after Jesus.
And that would be wrong ... there were many faithful believers throughout the ages even as the Roman Catholic church persecuted them and did its best to keep the masses in the dark

Works + Faith ... for salvation nowhere to be found in the scripture. anywhere.

Nope,Because Jesus paid their debt just like he paid your and mine

Will you recieve his grace? Or keep trying to work for it?

Jesus followed the law, you really think He was cursed?
I don't get how anyone can follow these ideas.
1. Jesus is the ONLY man who ever kept the law.
2. The law was given to POINT us to jesus. Have you found Jesus? If so. The law did its job. So if you claim to have found jesus, why do you want to go back to the law? All the law can do is CONDEMN YOU!

YOUR NOT JESUS!

lol

He said he, like everyone else (even you and me) struggles wiht some sin

Again, YOUR INTERPRETATION of what it means to LIVE in sin is wrong

If this persons lives like the world.. then I will judge him with 1 John 3.. I do not see that in my dealings with him

If I judge him, I woud have to judge you also.. you need to remember this.. YOUR NOT PERFECT EITHER MY FRIEND

JUDGE NOT LEST YE BE JUDGED!

Just as I predicted in post #721: pulling out the 'don't judge' card.

I'm not asking you to judge, I'm asking you to confront sin in other Christians.
See these verses:
https://www.openbible.info/topics/confronting_sins
lolol

I am sorry I have to laugh

You asked me if according to 1 John 3 he every knew God, YOU ASKED ME TO JUDGE HIM

If I was to go by the word of God. I would need to pull my friend aside and speak to him in private about his sins correct?

Your not asking me to call him out for a few sins to expose hm, You asked me to JUDGE HIME

Yep, the 'don't judge' card again.

I've provided a link to verses that ask us to confront sins, which is not the same as judging people on their sins.

Do you not listen?
