Right, we can be called sons now because of the certainty of the future adoption of sons. It is that certain! Praise the Lord! The Holy Spirit is the seal that guarantees us the future adoption. This is the context of predestination. Our destination is to be conformed to the image of Jesus. That’s the future adoption. Check this out...

1 John 3
1 Behold, what manner of love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.
2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

I have noticed that no matter what dcon post, 11 will support him with likes and take his word as the truth.

That is one central feature of echo chambers and how confirmation bias works.

Yes, I have noticed this too. There are a couple of people that will cast insults if you disagree with them. I try hard to ignotr them and stay the course. It sure is hard sometimes.🥴. In the last hour or so I’ve been called satanic and an idiot...out of love I’m sure.

If it was the same gospel, why would Paul need to communicate with James Peter and John about that gospel he was preaching among the Gentiles? They added nothing to his gospel, but they had a lot ot learn from him.

It was the same Gospel.

That does not mean they all had equal understanding.

I agree, they find it very hard to agree on the common parts, and politely disagree on others.

You are totally confused, Paul states that the Gentiles were added to the covenant promises, so if the promises were about an earthly kingdom Paul was sadly mistaken - but we already know who is mistaken.

(Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world)

This is like shooting ducks in kiddie pool

As I have said to John146, you guys are fond of anticipating revelation. You find it very difficult to put yourself in the shoes of a Jew in the OT and understand what he understood then.

Paul did not exist during the OT. Stop inserting his revelations into the OT. God kept those revelations a secret until he revealed them to Paul, it was hidden in him since the world began (Ephesians 3:9)

As I have explained to you earlier

The good news that the Son of God is finally sent in the flesh to Israel. Thru God's grace he came.

Israel needed to respond in faith to that grace, which is repent and be baptized.

If they respond in faith, Jesus as the Son of God would usher Israel into their promised kingdom.

It is then that their sins will finally be remitted (Acts 3:19)

So you are now saying that God "knowing all" sent out a false message .... it was a false message because He knew the Jews would not respond affirmatively and then he changed to Plan B.

And John says....RIGHT NOW ARE we the SONS of God.....he has no concept of what adoption actually entails.........he has went off the deep end.....I am about to follow suit ->VCO
