So somehow we were in Christ, fell out of Christ at the fall and got back into Christ when we believed.🤦‍♂️ Now that’s reformed theology...
You're an idiot and I never said or implied any such thing....you true colors are starting to shine pal....and your quote is evil!

Not hardly pal....and still waiting for a verse in context that said Satan put Jesus on the cross.....another one of your fallacies....!
When you acknowledge that the adoption is not salvation but the future redemption of the body. Scripture is very clear.

You know that is absolutely not what @dcontroversal wrote.
You see how deceptive he really is....no wonder several refuse to engage him.....rather evil to be honest to say and imply what he is saying and implying.....no different than the workers for, salvation losers and self saving cainologists....exactly how they act!

All I have to go by is your exact quotes you post. If you believe otherwise, don’t post such things...”we were saved in Christ before the foundation of the world was even laid down by God“

False and why would I acknowledge something false like that....!!
Those who are already saved are waiting for the adoption, the redemption of our body.

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

Predestinated us? Who’s us? Verse one, those in Christ. Predestinated to what? To the adoption...that’s not salvation. The adoption is the future redemption of the body. Romans 8:23. Predestination has nothing to do with being saved, rather, the beautiful future hope of us who are already saved.

Now you are Proving how you did not even READ the FIRST VERSE. Time for you to leave.

Ephesians 1:5 (KJV)
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will,

Your False Doctrine is TOTALLY BUSTED.

Goodbye.

That does not state he was first, only that hear learned about it directly from Christ.

As well he is making the point that this is not some human philosophy, made up by people, but came right from the source and as a revelation.
Read on to Galatians 2

Then fourteen years after I went up again to Jerusalem with Barnabas, and took Titus with me also.

2 And I went up by revelation, and communicated unto them that gospel which I preach among the Gentiles, but privately to them which were of reputation, lest by any means I should run, or had run, in vain.

6 But of these who seemed to be somewhat, (whatsoever they were, it maketh no matter to me: God accepteth no man's person:) for they who seemed to be somewhat in conference added nothing to me:

If it was the same gospel, why would Paul need to communicate with James Peter and John about that gospel he was preaching among the Gentiles? They added nothing to his gospel, but they had a lot ot learn from him.

Paul is talking to those who are already in Christ telling them of their future adoption. Scripture defines the adoption as the redemption of the body. That’s the destination of those in Christ.

Romans 8:23 And not only they, but ourselves also, which have the firstfruits of the Spirit, even we ourselves groan within ourselves, waiting for the adoption, to wit, the redemption of our body.

This is with regards to the physical body, not the spiritual adoption as sons.

You are confusing things

To redeem those who were under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons. And because you are sons, God has sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, crying, “Abba! Father!” So you are no longer a slave, but a son, and if a son, then an heir through God.

Being new to the present conversation, there may be something I’m not understanding as to why you commented this way decon, but I see nothing wrong with what John said.

Am only addressing where David ended up at his death, not his events of life....did not David end up in Abraham’s bosom? Not heaven which is our destination now because of the blood sacrifice.

My understanding of hell at this OT time is two compartments...with a gulf in between. One for the wicked and the other for the righteous.

Agree?
The OT Jews were not looking forward to salvation in heaven. If you were to enter a time machine and go to them during that time to tell them about a heavenly destination, they would have been confused.

They are looking to be ushered into the kingdom on earth that was promised to them from prophecies. The covenant that God made with Israel was largely a physical one, with land, with health and with wealth.

For us in the Body of Christ, our promises are mostly heavenly.

It was the same gospel, he conferred with them because:

(Gal 1:22 And was unknown by face unto the churches of Judaea which were in Christ)

(Gal 1:23 But they had heard only, That he which persecuted us in times past now preacheth the faith which once he destroyed.)

Cherry picking verses without the context again. You are either deceitful or unskilled in the word, probably both.

That passage is saying that the believers in those churches fear Paul because of his previous prosecution of all believers. It has nothing to do with the gospel that he received directly from Christ.

You are the one cherry picking out of context.
