Oh and what about the current overpopulation problem? Hmm, that's God's will that we overrun the planet and decimate it?
Don't believe what the globalist elites have to say about over population. It is another hoax like climate change. What they forget to tell you is that their selfishness and greed have resulted in the poverty of those who have nothing. There is enough land and enough wealth for everyone provide greed and selfishness are set aside.

Also God has made full provision to prevent over population through sicknesses, diseases, and death: And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and [Hades] followed with him. And power was given unto them over the fourth part of the earth, to kill with sword, and with hunger, and with death, and with the beasts of the earth. (Rev 6:8) Wars are man-made, and so is famine.

Are you sure? Matthew 19:12
Not only am I sure. I AM POSITIVE.

GENESIS 1: HOW WILL HUMANS MULTIPLY WITHOUT MARRIAGE?
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.
27 So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
28 And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.

GOD DESIRES THAT YOUNGER WIDOWS MARRY
I will therefore that the younger women [widows as the context shows] marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully. (1 Tim 5:14)

ALL MEANS ALL
Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled
: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge. (Heb 13:4)

What you quoted has very limited application (as is clear from the context). Celibacy is frowned on in the Bible, and forbidding to marry is called a doctrine of demons.

People should not make God responsible for their marital status. Those who are single have chosen to remain single. Those who wish to be married make the necessary efforts to do so.

Did you know that God wants ALL to be married, raise children, and have a family? That was His decree at the time of creation.

But if God wanted everyone to be married, why did Paul advocate staying single?

1 Corinthians 7 -- "It is good for a man not to touch a woman."

"For I wish that all men were even as myself. But each one has his own gift from God, one in this manner and another in that. But I say to the unmarried and to the widows: It is good for them if they remain even as I am (unmarried.)"

"But I want you to be without care. (Those) who are unmarried cares for the things of the Lord -- how they may please the Lord. (Those) who are married care about the things of this world -- how they may please their spouse."

Neither marriage nor singleness is a superior position -- each has pros and cons -- but the Bible says God created different people for different situations, whether they get married or stay single.

Do you believe that sex is only allowable for those in marriage who are actively trying to have children?

If so, I was wondering if you might hop on over to the Family Forum and answer my thread that asks how certain marital situations should be conducted according to that belief.

I'd be very interested in your answers.

For me it is a bit mixed, I think at the moment it would be best I was single as I cannot go anywhere or do anything on my own especially iwth my eyes healing but I also think that if God has someone out there for me then he will bring her to me if I just keep seeking him. seek the kingdom of God first and everything else will be given to you.
Plus I never understood the desperation of not being single, I mean no judgement but it seems like people can put way to much value on their lives on that and can end up marrying the first person that shows interest in them and then that marriage falls apart and heartbreak rejection depression and the likes follow and then people think they are just unlovable and meant to be alone in life.

If it isn't real love then what is the point?

So the Bible frowned on Jesus and Paul?

You are MISUSING the examples of Jesus and Paul.

Jesus is God manifest in the flesh, so it would be foolish to mention Him in this context. But we find that His first miracle recorded in the Gospel of John is at a marriage feast. Does that tell you something?

As to Paul, it is more than likely that he was a widower, since all the apostles were married men, and Paul stated that plainly.

Children are the natural outcome of sexual activity, so that is its primary function. But the secondary function is the couple expressing love for each other. And ideally sex should be reserved for the marital relationship.

However, I will check out your thread and also respond.

Foolish to mention our Lord who chose to be celibate and clearly stated that there are those who do likewise by making themselves eunuchs for the sake of the kingdom of heaven?

Hi Nehemiah6,

This discussion also makes me think of Anna in Luke 2:36-38: "Now there was one, Anna, a prophetess, the daughter of Phanuel, of the tribe of Asher. She was of great age and had lived with a husband seven years from her virginity; and this woman was a widow of about 84 years, who did not depart from the temple, but served God with fastings and prayers night and day. And coming in that instant, she gave thanks to the Lord, and spoke of Him to all those who looked for redemption in Jerusalem."

We are not told how old Anna was when she married, but I'm assuming she was quite young, and for whatever reason, she apparently did not remarry after her husband died (in reference to your posting of 1 Timothy 5:14 instructing younger widows to remarry.)

My purpose in posting these passages isn't to argue with you or to try to prove that I have a position that is somehow superior to anyone else's.

I've just come to believe that it's very important to present believers, especially young believers, with Biblical examples of a wide variety of those who may have had very different circumstances in their lives, but were still able to serve God. To imply that every Christian needs to be married puts undue pressure on young people to hurry up and find a spouse (when they may need more time) and will make them feel as if they're doing something wrong or are displeasing to God for not being married.

There seems to be a multitude of Christians out there who rushed into getting married and/or married out of desperation (thinking they had to be married or that it was some kind of cure-all for whatever they were going through or that this was their last chance) with disastrous results.

The only point I'm trying to make is that God may have a different calling for us other than getting married, and there is plenty that we can still do and be effective for His work. :)

I understand what you're saying about Paul. A Bible class I had taken said that one of the requirements for being a Pharisee, which Paul said he had been, was to have been married. But Paul later says he wishes others could remain unmarried as he was -- and the speculation seems to be that either his wife died, or left him when he became a believer (from what you've posted, I'm sure you have probably studied these things already -- I'm just writing them as an FYI for those reading.)

I appreciate that you take the time to make such in-depth answers. I know our beliefs will differ, but I just wanted to say that I respect you for answering in a detailed, informative manner.

Thank you for taking the time to answer my thread in the Family Forum. I'm headed over there right now. :)

Blessings, and hope you have a good week.

Random thought: Ask the woman at the well how good marriage is for fixing your life up. That's what her society told women their place in life was, but she had tried it five times and it always ended badly. In fact, when Jesus met her she had given up on the whole thing and was just living with a guy.

Jesus didn't stop to meet her because she was a low-down dirty sinner that should be corrected. He stopped to meet her because she was still looking for something that would work for her life. Apparently marriage isn't the cure-all society (even still!) claims it is, but it seems marital status is not what matters anyway.

Dude, everywhere I go is more crowded now than it was a few years ago. Conspiracy theorists like you are the ones who are blind, because you refuse to see anything that does not support what you already believe. Even my once-peaceful little hometown is getting big enough to make me uncomfortable and want to move to a smaller town... but the smaller town next door has been growing too. Feh!

And that scripture you quoted is for the endtime. If you think that time is now, we had better stop having babies entirely. They'll just be killed off anyway.

hmm well Nehemiah has his own strong opinions on the matter but as this is a singles forum with people who have chosen to be single for the Kingdom (some of us may not be too happy with that but too bad...God knows whats best) but there are also some people struggling because they are widowed or divorced and didnt actually choose to be single.

for the widows, they can marry again if they are young but divorcees have a much harder time if their ex is still alive.

I would hate this forum to be a 'lets bash the singles' forum just because singles arent married or have children. Singles actually DO have families to look after...wayyy bigger than a nuclear family in some cases.

The first five seals of Revelation were opened after that prophecy was given. Please see the Olivet Discourse.

As to over-crowding, there are vast tracts of land even now which remain uninhabited. Also, everyone wants to crowd into cities and few want to live in the rural areas.

With some of that uninhabited land, there's good reason it remains uninhabited. But if you want to go and form a new nation down in antarctica or in some practically inaccessible part of the Himalayas, I won't try to stop you.

Maybe this is meant to be a little cathartic, but what do you think is the reason God has you single in this season? Be honest with yourself. I often think people blame themselves for something awful they did and think God is punishing them with this single and sometimes lonely life, instead of it being a time to grow. Maybe even a time for ones heart to heal, since we often find ourselves too readily hopping into a new relationship.

And if you don’t know, that’s ok. I think with me God is working on me both in a big transition in my home life as well as career.

I lost my hubby 8 yrs ago from a brain tumor. I rushed in after 2 yrs and got into a relationship which ended up in marriage and then a divorce he wanted and paid for. Many problems we had. I did not ask the Lord what He wanted for me. I did what I wanted to. I know its all under the blood but there are still consequences for my actions. Frankly I hate being alone as without another HUMAN BEING in my life. However because I suffered so much for my choices, I am not doing my best to wait on the Lords. Im too old to play games. I dont blame him as much as I blame myself. Our choices make our life. Im not a young woman anymore but young at heart and I pray if its Gods will He will bring someone into my life...instead of me trying to make my own choices. Im not to good at it....Im learning to adjust to the way my life is. Covid 19 has not helped. There is a Christian song....Stand Still.....great song. Thats where I am right now or trying to be....Stand Still and let God move.....God bless

What I'm saying is that the myth of overpopulation should not be used as a reason to avoid marriage. And if the Inuit (Eskimos) can live comfortably with the polar bears, then others can live comfortably with the penguins as neighbors. Then we have the Rub al Khali -- the Empty Quarter -- where tribes still live.

Overpopulation and climate change are myths being used by the globalists elites to promote their own selfish agendas. They are not the basis of reality.

Even though I'm already 30, I still feel like a baby in many ways lol. I know I'm not ready for marriage yet. I would like to marry, but maybe in a few years. Perhaps that is why God has me single? I know that I don't make myself available to anyone and I don't really flirt or initiate conversations with guys. I keep to myself mostly.
