Then you believe there are unseen spiritsThat's a false dichotomy as I could believe God false and demons real, as well as the reverse
Explain the second sentence please.Neither. They are SPIRIT BEINGS -- demons -- claiming to be gods. They require sacrifices in order to bring their worshippers into bondage.
Whenever people turn to worshiping idols (and sacrificing to idols is indeed worship), Satan and demonic spirits gain access to their hearts and minds, to turn them away from God, Christ, and the Holy Bible, and create mental, emotional, and spiritual problems for them. There is a whole raft of these problems which I will not list. But fearfulness and irrational fears pertain to "the spirit of bondage" (Rom 8:15), and personality and behavioral problems become evident. including envy. strife, confusion, and every evil work (James 3:14-16). This is called earthly, sensual, and devilish (demonic).Explain the second sentence please.
Your explanation is a logical response to an illogical question. In a sense, yes: it's the questioner expecting the responder to set aside his or her thinking in order to satisfy the demand, "Answer my question!".![]()
But why make a point when you obviously know whether they understand that money is their god or not it factually is their god? You just want to argue. I don't have time for circle yanks and you seem to be the pivot man.
I did not actually bring the greeks themselves up but the idea of their deities and compared it to worshipping Satan. But you were so argumentative, I knew there was no way you understood. And now you are asking about it. I don't waste my time with those who think they know when I can see they don't have a clue and just yapping out of their butt!
On the existence of other gods, and where they come from, and what they are:
Isaiah 44:6-20
6 Thus saith the Lord the King of Israel, and his redeemer the Lord of hosts; I am the first, and I am the last; and beside me there is no God.
because money and gods are two different things. you bury money in the backyard and eventually it goes back to the earth, gods dont die.
this is how discussion boards work, different people discussing different points of view.
i dont blame you for being mad, your position, with due respect, has been thoroughly debunked.
Isaiah 47:8
Now therefore hear this, you lover of pleasures, who sit securely, who say in your heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me; I shall not sit as a widow or know the loss of children”:
no other besides me IMO means no other like me, demonstrating the greatness or majesty. the Is. passage has the babylonians using the exact same phrase, i dont thnk they are proclaiming they are the only city of this world.
There are no other gods, fallen angels never will amount to a god. So I do challenge this thinking of yours. Since nothing ever amounts to a god but God Himself, everything can be worshipped and that substitute as a god in peoples lives.
i agree, only one Most High, i never said different. There is no other God,
false meaning they do not exist or false meaning they are not the Most High?all the false gods are just that; false. They are lies.
thats great, and back to that phrase, "there is no other beside me" what did the babylonians mean when they said that?As for Babylon, the slut was conceited in her whoredoms and her witchcrafts, in the same day she was made a widow and all of her wicked children were slaughtered by the power of the Lord God, and none came to save her, none of her sorcerers could deliver her from the power of the flame.
i agree, only one Most High, i never said different.
false meaning they do not exist or false meaning they are not the Most High?

the Most High, and "gods, a god" are two different things. the Most High is the Father, the creator of all things, there is only one Most High. gods are lesser beings, heavenly beings if you like. look up "elohim" in a study bible and research it for yourself.
Psalm 82:1
God has taken his place in the divine council; in the midst of the gods he holds judgment:
here you have the Most High presiding in His divine council with other gods, all are there together at the same time and same place.
They do not exist, they are lies.
Deuteronomy 10:17
For the LORD your God is God of gods and Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who is not partial and takes no bribe.
so who are these "gods" the Most High says He is G-D of?
The phrase in the prophecy shows that Babylon, the city, was conceited, she thought her iniquities would never be discovered. She thought she had safety in her witchcrafts, but she was very wrong, and the Lord God did destroy her and all her children, and all her enchantments and all her sorcerers could not save her from the mighty hand of the One True God.
did they believe themselves to be the only city on the planet?
Actually, we are done.
In the Hebrew Elohim is ALWAYS Singular!
Elohim | Hebrew god | Britannica.com
- Elohim. Elohim, Eloah means (Hebrew: God), the singular God of Israel in the Old Testament.
I am not going to debate someone who does not have a clue!
The Hebrew Name for God - Elohim
hebrew4christians.com/Names_of_G-d/Elohim/elohim...
The name Elohim is unique to Hebraic thinking: it occurs only in Hebrew and in no other ancient Semitic language. The masculine plural ending does not mean "gods" when referring to the true God of Israel, since the name is mainly used with singular verb forms and with adjectives and pronouns in the singular
I do not care!
If you think ENGLISH SPEAKING people know better than Hebrews then believe what you want. Personally, the dumbest Hebrew moron is 20 million times brighter than you will ever be trying to understand the Tanakh (Old Testament)!
so who are those "gods" in that divine council with the Most High? bible says they are elohim. feel free to ignore that question as well, your good at it.
