I know there is so much more to what we can read. They say a picture is worth a 1,000 words but many times in Scripture we barely get 50 words and have to piece the puzzle together. And of course, that leaves much room for error. It's like looking at an Egyptian Hieroglyph and seeing 3 symbols. We see a simple viewpoint where ancient people saw an entire story filled with war, famine, pestilence, and death. And knowing what it means, you still only see 3 symbols.
Doesn't really say.
But let me point something out here.
Records show that Roman emperor Caesar was considered a tall man for his time and he was only 5'4". I bought a closet unit made from 1850's and I cannot hang clothes because modern day hangers are too big for it meaning people even 100 years ago were almost a foot shorter in many cases. If we take these examples and apply them to the Book of Genesis, a Giant would only have to be 6' and why the 8" Goliath later on was considered massive. People were probably 4' tall in those days. God made them short. Which amazes me even more when you look at ancient structures built by these tiny people like pyramids and so forth.

I am going by Genesis 6:
1 And it came to pass, when men began to multiply on the face of the earth, and daughters were born unto them,
2 That the sons of God saw the daughters of men that they were fair; and they took them wives of all which they chose.
We know who the Sons of God are here (Fallen Angels)(Peter even explains these specific Fallen Angels have been locked away until judgement for doing as verse 2 explains), and we know the Sons of God produced children with these women and they were called the Nephilim.
Do you not know your Bible?

Hi Biker, I've been reading some of your posts and agree with most what you say .. I don't doubt there were giants even over 12' tall but I don't believe there was ever any fallen angels mated with human women .. I know most do believe it , just not me .. Sons of God were the Sethites imo who married daughters of men and those daughters of men brought in their idols then corrupted all families and offspring through idolatry except and until only Noah and his family were worth saving ..

What do you make of these verses?
Genesis 6:

Read Enoch 7 first 2 verses, it matches Genesis:
Enoch 7:
1. It happened after the sons of men had multiplied in those days, that daughters were born to them, elegant and beautiful.
2. And when the angels, the sons of heaven, beheld them, they became enamoured of them, saying to each other, Come, let us select for ourselves wives from the progeny of men, and let us beget children.

That does claim Enoch is saying these Giants were the result of Angels with human women.
Here from same chapter 7 of Enoch:
9. These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael,
Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal. These were the prefects of the two hundred angels, and the remainder were all with them.

LOL, not going to argue with somebody who can't say anything more than your wrong since it is obvious that you would increase the circumference of the earth by raising the the face of the waters to a level of 29,000 feet to cover the highest mountain.
Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. Gen 7:20
In fact it would increase the circumference of the earth 31 miles.
You are thinking that the raise in attitude would result in a lower psi, but as the surface level of the waters increased then the ship would actually be be decreasing in attitude which results in a greater psi upon the object upon the face of the waters.

There are flood stories all over the world.. Since after the flood. Life on earth began in one central place. and we Know from the word that later God confused the languages and sent people out throughout the whole earth. It is expected that flood stories would go with them. Of course they have changed from different cultures. But the main jist f the story would be the same because it came from one source. Only in an enclosed sphere, which the Earth is not. Because water is essentially incompressible, the increase in atmospheric pressure would have to be massive to "push down" floating objects. Objects float because they are less dense than water (most wood) or because their shape is such that it displaces an equal weight of water (boats and ships).
You're also making the unwarranted assumption that Mt. Everest existed at its present height prior to the Flood, which is not what any creationist claims (that I have heard). Watch the videos. Learn the arguments that are actually being made instead of arguing against assumed positions. The Bible does not give any indication of the height of mountains prior to the Flood, but some very reasonable arguments propose that the mountains were formed during the Flood.

Exactly, even the Noah story has changed names in ancient Mesopotamia. But we know it was Noah. I find it amazing how atheist believe it was 2 separate people with the same tale.
