Great story but that is all it is, a story.

That is if you are going to take the interpretation that there was a global flood of waters, since it wasn't until the sons of Noah that the whole earth was overspread. [Gen 9:19]
The sons of Noah were not Nephilim!

The Nephilim are mentioned in Genesis 3 and you are quoting Genesis 9. And the Holy Spirit would not consider the Nephilim as human beings spreading out. And besides, the Nephilim were children of Demons. They definitely would spread out to conquer. But anyways, the fact remains there were factual Giant remains, hundreds of them discovered. From 8 feet in height to 15 feet. If those were not Nephilim, then what were they?

The point being that if anyone lived in the Americas at the time of Noah, they would have been destroyed by the flood, thus no story to be told about how it was before the flood in the Americas.

Then you have the fact that there were giants after the flood of Noah, even until the day of Moses. [See Deut 3:11]

For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of giants; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbath of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.

Problem with the story about those bones which prove that there were giants in the Americas before the flood is that they only had five fingers on each hand and five toes on each foot. Giants had 6 digits on each appendage. [See 2 Sam 21:10]

But I think the Flood that killed the Nephilim in the America's was the Noah flood. The Indians are claiming it was their ancestors who told of the Giants. And the fact these were red headed Giants gives much credence to Esau.

I will add this one point, we know that not everything in the Bible tells us the whole picture of things that happened, were happening, and are going to happen. Just because Jesus claims in His Father's home there are many mansions does not actually gives us the entire picture of what that specifically means. Just because God tells us about Noah's flood does not mean that was the only flood God ever caused up to that time. I believe there are many unknowns we won't know until we finally are in Heaven.

When we read the first 2 chapters of Genesis we think only Adam and Eve exist. A few more chapters later and suddenly we have people from Nod and nowhere does it claim they came from Adam, that is just our ASSUMPTION. A few chapters after that we have fallen Angels marrying human wives and producing Nephilim. We really don't know what actually happened and are just guessing.

We really only have bits and pieces of why Satan did what he did and was cast out. We really do not know any of the actually specifics. So to make a hardline claim on these Nephilim is flat out ridiculous.

Citing one man with an abnormal number of digits does not mean all giants had six fingers and toes per appendage. It was 2 Sam 21:20.

I missed this part.
Here is a better description of these Giants.

Origins of the Red-Haired North American Giants?, page 1
www.abovetopsecret.com/forum/thread1049392/pg1
Ancient (Native American) “Indian” legends speak of a race of white skinned giants with red hair, 6 fingers, 2 rows of teeth, and a nasty attitude. According to the stories, there was some coexistence, but invariably these two groups did NOT like each other.

Not sure why the other article did not mention 6 fingers, but these Giants did have 6 fingers and 6 toes.

Since Eve was the called "the mother of all living" I do not think it an assumption or just guessing :)

Genesis 3:20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

I also found these verses interesting:

13 And Cain said to the Lord, "Is my iniquity too great to bear?
יגוַיֹּ֥אמֶר קַ֖יִן אֶל־יְהֹוָ֑ה גָּד֥וֹל עֲוֹנִ֖י מִנְּשֽׂוֹא:

14 Behold You have driven me today off the face of the earth, and I shall be hidden from before You, and I will be a wanderer and an exile in the land, and it will be that whoever finds me will kill me."

15 And the Lord said to him, "Therefore, whoever kills Cain, vengeance will be wrought upon him sevenfold," and the Lord placed a mark on Cain that no one who find him slay him.

If all humans come from Adam and Eve, why is Cain worried about meeting a human that would kill him?
Those verses make it seem as if other people were there not related to Cain, or from Eve

I mean even his family members would not know Cain killed Abel.

And nowhere does it say God told Adam/Eve what happened. For all they know, like Cain up and leaving so could have Abel.

How didn't that preclude destroying the earth by any means when it is written in Genesis 9:12, "And God said, This is the token of the covenant which I make between me and you and every living creature that is with you, for perpetual generations:"

Perpetual means continuing forever without end. So how could the part about the all flesh would not be cut off by the waters of a flood and neither shall there be any more a flood to destroy the earth since that was just a token of the covenant which would he made to the perpetual generations?
That promise related strictly to destruction by another Flood -- water. It did not say anything about fire. Also the Hebrew word translated as "perpetual" can have several meanings, including "future" or "successive".

Strong's Concordance
olam: long duration, antiquity, futurity
Original Word: עוֹלָם
Part of Speech: Noun Masculine
Transliteration: olam
Phonetic Spelling: (o-lawm')
Definition: long duration, antiquity, futurity

Brown-Driver-Briggs
עוֺלָם439 noun masculine long duration, antiquity, futurity; — ׳ע Genesis 9:12

Have you seen this thread? I think saying nobody knew what happened to Abel is an assumption :geek: We don't know either way.

When we read the first 2 chapters of Genesis we think only Adam and Eve exist.
Could be the reason it is written to trust in the LORD and lean not to our understanding.

A few more chapters later and suddenly we have people from Nod and nowhere does it claim they came from Adam, that is just our ASSUMPTION.
It says Cain went from the presence of the LORD to dwell in the land of Nod. It doesn't say that Cain found a wife in the land of Nod nor that Nod was inhabited, nor does it state it wasn't.

Genesis 4:16-17 simply states, "And Cain went out from the presence of the LORD, and dwelt in the land of Nod, on the east of Eden. And Cain knew his wife; and she conceived, and bare Enoch:
A few chapters after that we have fallen Angels marrying human wives and producing Nephilim.
It is written in Genesis 6:1 that when men began to multiply. That would indicate that there was more than one man created, not one man and one woman. Since the man and his wife were one flesh, the use of the plural them would suggest that there was more than one male and female in the beginning.

What it is written is that when men began to multiply that daughters were born unto them. That the first males, being the sons of God who were born not of flesh or blood but by the will of God, saw that the daughters born unto the women grew to be attractive females, so instead of leaving them for their sons to take as wives they took them unto themselves to be wives.

Thus in Genesis 6:3 when men began to muliply the LORD says that his word would not always strive with man since the number of a man's day in the flesh upon the earth would be 120 years. It was not 120 years from the time that men began multiplying upon the face of the earth until the flood. And as Genesis 6:4 indicates, it was after the LORD numbered the days of man that the sons of God began producing offspring with the daughters they took unto themselves as wives.

So to make a hardline claim on these Nephilim is flat out ridiculous.
I agree, to call the males who were made in the beginning Nephilim is flat out ridiculous.

That's your assumption of what I said. I also said Fallen Angels married human wives and we now have Nephilim. That is a big stretch to make that into the first males were Nephilim. Where did I ever make that claim?

You are saying that the offspring of the sons of God were Nephilim , since all things bring forth after their own kind, to say the offspring of the men who began to mutiply upon the face of the earth were Nephilim is to say that the sons of God were Nephilim, according to the 'in-kind' principle.

And God made the beast of the earth after his kind, and cattle after their kind, and every thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind: Gen 1:25

I don't believe fallen angels married women .. Giants were men before and after the flood , the pre flood giants would have been larger than the post flood giants according to everything else giant we find in fossil records ..
I think God could have made man on the 6th day besides Adam with different instructions from what God give Adam and Eve ..
20 And Adam called his wife's name Eve; because she was the mother of all living.

Don't get me wrong I know all come from Adam/Eve. It's just how it is written I find fascinating.
I would call it more confusing than fascinating. I think the story is adequate to satisfy a nomadic nation in the desert. I think it makes sense that these Israelites who saw giants must have wondered about their origin. I think understanding comes with reading what the actual words say, not what somebody told you they say. The word elohim means heavenly inhabitants. Essentially those from the sky. When Genesis was translated often you see “Lord God”. It actually means ”Self Existent (Jehovah) of the heavenly beings. You can see throughout the Bible how many angels are humanoid. They eat and fight. At one point they were captured. When it states we were made in the image of elohim. It may very well be stating we were made humanoid like the heavenly beings. This also explains why they could produce children. Perhaps every other story from the Greeks and Sumerians and Egyptians and many others weren’t completely erroneous. There is the common thread which translated almost word for what is actually written in Genesis.

He said that the flood would have been more like a lake (standing water) than like a river (moving water).

Standing water doesn't erode the ground.
There is a lot of relevant information about which you seem unaware as well. Look up the videos I mentioned.

The scriptures themselves state that the waters prevailed upwards 15 cubits a day. That means the waters upon the earth would have been compressing the atmosphere into a narrower space whereby the pressure downward would have sunk anything floating on top of the water.
Respectfully, your comment (bolded) shows a surprising ignorance of basic physics.
