Faith like a child is a beautiful concept, hence why Jesus teaches us its importance.
You who are young, be happy while you are young, and let your heart give you joy in the days of your youth. Follow the ways of your heart and whatever your eyes see, but know that for all these things God will bring you into judgment.

You cannot tell anyone.. it has to be done in secret!!!

Those works were prepared ahead of time .. its a quota you know!!
The beautiful fragrance of fresh cut grass, the smiles of adoration from your neighbors, the self-proclaimation of maintaining one’s salvation; I like those kind of quotas. 😁

so you do believe in OSAS or eternal security?

I have to admit, From things you are saying it honestly appears you do not
Depends on the perspective. From an eternal perspective, yes. From the perspective of man, no. As I said, my issue is not theological but practical.

those who have not grown up, it is GODŚ WORK to purify, refine and launder them...so that they will grow up into their most HOLY FAIth...

GOD is a launderer...and HE purifies us so that our faith (more precious than gold) will rest entirely in and on HIM...and will result in HIS GLORY...

It is when we are purified that we come back to what we began in is what we will end in...FAITH

From first ----------> to last
From Faith --------> to faith
Yes, it is gods work.

But even then, Sadly, some will resist. and some may never reach maturity. Remember, the Corinthian church were considered babes when Paul said they should be teaching others.

How far we grow in Christ does not determine our salvation. would you agree?

You create a false division between belief and works. What we believe, we will live. If we don't live it, we don't really believe it.
When the corinthian church were caught in sexual sin, and called out by Paul. where they saved babes in Christ, or lost babes wihtout Christ?

You just broke the rule again.... now God will have to strike it from the official record... you will have to do it all over again!

And this time keep it a secret ... I suggest you cut the grass blindfolded....LOL :D:D

Once again taking Romans out of context, creating a division between Paul and James. The same faith that was credited to Abraham as righteousness was accounted to him on account of his works. The works in mind in Romans are works of the law, ceremonial offerings, sabbaths, dietary restrictions. There is no indication that this is meant to be saying something universal about things that are actually righteous and Romans in context(both considering the question at hand and the overall discussion in the book) makes it clear. We are commanded to do works meet unto repentance. It's not optional, God is not mocked.
The works in Romans is not based on the Law...it is based on the righteousness which is of faith...and the power of The GOSPEL unto ALL WHO BELIEVE>..both the Jew, who had the law, and the Gentile, who did not...

Read John 5:24 and rejoice.

In order that it's righteousness of it would be established and men would be aware of the sin that they are accused of, so the wicked would receive justice.
Is it righteous of JESUS to say, regarding the LAW...you have heard it said...but I SAY TO YOU... (Matthew 5)

1. Abraham was found righteous before he did one work
2. Paul did not eleborate what type of work there was. He said not of works. The law is just one type of works. there are many types of works. Paul said if any work was included in why Abraham was found, he has something to boast of..There is no indication he was talking about the law. this is just a ploy by workers to try to discredit what Paul was actually trying to say
3. Abraham proved he had faith, because like all the fathers in Heb 11, His faith was real, His faith was powerful, it was living. But Abraham also had many sins, which could be construed as failing to do works.

we need to realise Abraham, according to the law was guilty, As is every man woman and child who ever lived, with the law or without it.

Abraham was saved based on his faith.

God does not have to command his children to work. They do it out of gratitide for what he has given them, and because he made them into new creation.

@Bbrdrd , What is the righteousness which is of faith, sir...
It can be found clearly in the NT...and it involves each of us, not saying who will ascend or who will descend...but that _________________________________________________________________ You should be able to find this...

I think Jesus was trying to show how the law could not make us righteous, because it was not made for that purpose

I am confused why a gentleman does not understand the law and the offering of sacrifice. and a lamb without blemish, as a means as to why Jesus had to obey the law.

You just boasted in your works, sir.

Don´t

GOD already knows your good works...you do not need to let anyone else know
My Lady, I’m goofing off with EleventhHour and you’re misconstruing my posts, that’s why I said you don’t know me very well.

You and I are in total agreement. We recognize the Truth for what it is and are aligned accordingly, to the glory of God.

So sorry...

Thank you for the explanation...
Your comment was confusing to me.

I think it would be confusing to any one who might decide to take a look at this thread...they too, not knowing you and your relationship with eleventh hour would confuse your comment to mean that you were boasting in your works...
