My local area is one of those areas being hit the hardest. My job was shutdown from 4 or more confirmed cases. My local hospital has 3 floors filled with Covid 19 cases most from 2 funerals and a fish fry. They have had to open a outside ICU due to the ICU being full. A local hotel has been turned into a site to hold people who has no place to separate themselves. The governor sent out hospital 20 more respirators to help with the increase numbers. The Atlanta CDC has sent a team to investigate why our area is so high. My neighbors work at the hospital and saying this virus is no joke and these people are extremely sick. They are now sending patients to other hospitals for more room.
Our hospital of course is probably the worst around here and the city is ran by corruption while the streets are filled with gangs who doesn't care about city lockdowns.
People we know are dealing with this. One grandmother has died and another's husband is in the ICU.
Of course I say all this not to scare or worry anyone but it is reality. What makes this virus different is how contagious it is. If your hospitals get overwhelmed then your parents, grandparents, or others will not receive the care they need. This is why the lockdowns, the isolations. To slow down how many people enter the hospital. Drs and nurses are overwhelmed. A few have quit in our hospital. One created a Facebook video saying she wasn't going in the covid 19 floor due to she was the only one to take care of her kids. She quit to put her kids first.
Regardless if this was a attack, a attack gone wrong, a conspiracy to restrict freedoms, or some other evil plot. We will survive if we just keep our cool. Things will calm down and when it does, damage control will be argued in the courts, congress, our President, our local governments, and however the people respond will more than likely have a big impact on future elections.
This is temporary. I am optimistic and trust God has a plan. His will is being accomplished somehow someway. Do all you can to protect yourself and your family and past that, what you cannot control, pray.
Once the hospital's are seeing a decline, things will get back to normal. Heard a rumor that hospitals are seeing a decline but just a rumor. Either way as Benjamin Disraeli once said,
"I am prepared for the worst, but hope for the best."
