The flu is going to spread no matter what we do. The only way to prevent the spread would be total isolation of all people from other people. Is this really the right thing to do in this situation? I don’t think so, I think the measures they’re taking are going to do far more harm than the flu ever would. But then again, that’s what I think the goal is.
Agree... for the USA it not going to be good if the projections are valid, yet we still have a responsibility to older people to not be careless...because young people are not the ones dying (unlike the Spanish Flu ) it is the elderly.
As well, we need to slow the progression so that a vaccine can be developed, governments need to mitigate the toll on human life.
There were three waves to the Spanish Flu because they did not know what they were doing.
The health care system has no capacity to deal with millions of sick people.. they need to slow the progression. It is fair to just let elderly people die when measures can be taken like closing schools, big events etc.,
The key factor with this flu which I keep stating over and over, is it not typical in its hibernation period, so while yes it is a flu it has the capacity to do tremendous harm.
We were already in a 1920's economic scenario, the bubble was going to burst regardless... this is just hastening the process.
Will it do the job, as per the one world government plans that remains to be seen, it took time for the Titanic to sink!
