But David Willkerson was christian. God made part of us prophets, others pastors and everything like that... IT is wrotein Bible too
Jason,
If you can get a copy of 'The Vision' by David Wilkerson, take the time and read it. You can probably track one down trough your local public library. When you get it make sure to note when it was written and the conditions that existed at the time right here in the US. Then just think about it and ponder what you read.

Real prophecy of God isn't bound by conditions at periods in time. When God gives a word--it happens without exception. Really ,the guy gives out Nostradamus type vague prophecies that if look hard enough, you can find some situations that resembles it-- anyone could do it. Furthermore, David Wilkerson stated many prophecies that has already been proven false. Such as this example:
"The End of Gospel Television by 1999 "Right now I sense in my spirit that in less than 5 years there will be no more so-called gospel television networks. They will all fall into bankruptcy and absolute ruin." (Solomon Church Dec. 12, 1994)"
Not only has this proven to be false, but christian television has never grown more, so the exact opposite of of what he predicted happened. So, there is really nothing for me to ponder other than that he trying to cash in on false prophecies by selling them in books.
Of course, the bible does say that there are prophets, and if needed, God could send prophets, but there is simply no need for new prophets because everything a Christian needs to know is already in the bible.
Just because someone says they are Christian doesn't make them a real one-- the bible refers to them as sheep's in wolves clothing. Yes, the bible does that there will be prophets, but that was before the bible was completed. The book of revelation is believed to have been written almost 70 years (around 95,96 AD) after Jesus died on the cross.
The other books in the bible, including the new testament ones, where written before revelations, so I personally believe that: John of the book of revelations was be the last real prophet. But, you know, everyone has to make there own decisions, but I won't be writing any donation checks to millionaire prophets anytime soon![]()
Tell me what you think the Lord Jesus Christ meant when he talked about bearing much fruit? Do you have any idea what this fruit is that we have been ordained to bear much of? You get on here and say these things but do you have fruit? If you do, then show us your fruit? If you are from God then show us your fruit?

Tell me what you think the Lord Jesus Christ meant when he talked about bearing much fruit?
Do you have any idea what this fruit is that we have been ordained to bear much of?
You get on here and say these things but do you have fruit?
If you do, then show us your fruit?
If you are from God then show us your fruit
Your whole statement is completely confusing, so lets break it down.
Bearing fruit happens when a person spreads the word of God, which is referred to as planting seeds. Further, that Christian and/or another one--waters that seed. Finally, God himself gives the increase to grow that seed into a fruit. Bearing much fruit involves planting much seed, obviously! Don't see the topic relevance, but ok.
The fruit is all Christians that believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that he died on the cross for our sins. I am a fruit of someone, or more likely, many Christians just like everyone else who believes in Jesus. Still don't see the topic relevance, but ok.
Confused at to why you are harping on fruit in a thread that is discussing prophecy?! A person can bear fruit by spreading the word of God, the bible. Jesus Christ own words are in the bible that he used to bear fruit for himself. You said "You get on here and say these things", really understand what your point is? Not nice to presume to know whether someone bears fruit or not. Don't see the topic relevance, but ok.
The fruit is people that we christian planted the seed, water and God gives the increase! So, how can someone show their fruit across the internet?
This topic is to express opinions on modern prophecy, and more specifically, Davids Wilkersons so-called prophecies,-- not once have stated that I had a word from God or that I was from God (not really sure what you meant by that because every soul was created by God, so technically everyone comes from God.)
Again, Fruit is people that we Christians planted the seed, watered and God gives the increase! So, how can someone show their fruit across the internet? All in all a very confusing statement but thanks for sharing!
um the bible says that bearing fruit is displaying love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfullness, gentleness, and self control.(Galations 5:22-23) you can tell what tree it is by the fruit it bears. you can tell who a person is by their actions, therfore we are to display Christ by living in such a way,.,..
You criticize a man of God who has borne fruit unto God and has for more than 40 years. Do you have fruit? If you did, you would not be critical of those that also bear fruit because you would be abiding in the vine, but because you are critical and have no fruit then you must not be abiding in the same vine.
Hmm, if they are still around, give me a decent example of someone who is a real prophet that has an actual prophecy that glorifies God instead of themselves. Furthermore, give me an example of prophet who doesn't ask for donations like all the real prophets. Just saying there are real prophets doesn't actually prove anything-- it is far too vague.
My point is that there is absolutely nothing left to for a prophet left to speak. We already know everything we need to know about the last days. We already know how Christians should behave-- Christ set the example for that. Furthermore, there is still prophecy unfulfilled from the old prophets, so why would we need new prophets when there still stuff undone from thousands of years ago.
But hey, believe what you want-- every time I come across someone professing to be a prophet- I get that used car salesman vibe coming from them. I will stick to the tried by fire, long suffering, bible living prophets such as Jesus Christ, John the Baptist, Jeremiah, and ect.
Well I dont really think we should start out trusting prophets and then after following them lose our trust.(1. The Bible also says to be wary of fakers
2. EVERY Prophecy in the written bible has either came true or is yet to come true.
3. If he has had prophecies that havent came true then we must conclude that he is not of god.)
If wilkerson prophesied about earthduake in Japan and it took place, let us wait if does not happen in America as he has prophesied.
We should not term him a false prophet.
